Dr. Hurvitz is a wonderful surgeon and human being. My newborn baby was cut from eye to ear during a crash c-section. 3 plastics surgeons turned down the repair because they felt they weren't skilled enough due to how deep the cut was and the proximity to nerves, his eye, his ear, muscles, the age of the newborn and other various factors. They weren't sure if my son would be able to feed, or use his eye. One surgeon called Dr. Hurvitz in to the hospital for a consultation. Thank God Dr. Hurvitz agreed to come in and do the surgery. He was off, and at home with his family. His team kept my baby alive when he had to be intubated and struggled to breathe (he was hours old and had been exposed to many drugs during the crash c-section because they couldn't get me numb). Finally, at almost midnight I got to meet my son after 8 hours. He was perfect. His incision/ scar was minimal. It's hardly noticeable now, almost 4 years later. Sometimes when his face turns red I can see a faint white line. It was so big, so complicated and so deep, and now it's a tiny paper thin line. The stitching was beautifully done. Most importantly He was able to nurse, and use his eye, he had no issues opening or closing it. Dr. Hurvitz repaired the muscle, nerves and incision perfectly. His office staff are also wonderful people. They patiently worked with me on insurance and payment. They answered every email, and call. They are a Wonderful group of ladies. Dr. Hurvitz bedside manner when I met him and his assistant put me at ease. I don't remember what he said, but how he made me feel. He cared. He was funny. And he's absolutely the best surgeon. Thank you Dr. Hurvitz. You were one of the few good things that happened to us during that horrible experience. We thank God for you every time we look at our son's face. He's gorgeous and healthy. The scar is minimal and most people don't even notice it. I would absolutely trust and recommend Dr. Hurvitz.

After being a long term patient of this office (greater than 20 years), this week, I wound up…read morehaving to tell Dr. Sung I would no longer be his patient going forward. For the past 2 years, with only 24 hours notice, the office staff rescheduled my appointment 20 minutes earlier than what I had scheduled it for. When this occurred last year, I thought I made a mistake and canceled a work meeting in El Segundo, so that I could make it on time. This isn't a good look at work, and that event stuck with me. When it happened again this year, I knew I didn't make a mistake, and that's where things got weird. I responded to my appointment reminder call by firmly, but politely, stating that I would maintain my 3pm arrival time. The woman who took my call was unprofessional and condescending but eventually told me she would ask the doctor if I could "arrive late" to fill out my paperwork. When she came back on and told me it was ok, I said "goodbye" and hung up in her face--responding with the attitude she gave me. After my appointment was over, I had a calm converstation with Dr. Sung where he first hedged his explanation until I put together that this was his intention, and then he started saying how he does this so that people aren't late getting to the exam rooms. I told Dr. Sung how this affected my job. I told him that the problem was the lack of notice (24 hours is insufficient for me to reschedule a meeting I had ending at 2pm). He, however, stuck to his guns and informed me that others had complained, but nobody as significantly as me, but they would continue doing this. In a nutshell, Dr. Sung demands the ability to tell you to turn your schedule over on its head the day before an appointment. This isn't the usual "Can you arrive 5 minutes early?" It isn't an ask of "this is your first appointment and there's a lot of intake paperwork." It is "We don't care about your schedule and will demand you to be there a full 20 minutes earlier than you agreed to so you can update this paperwork we should have told you about when you scheduled the appointment 6 months ago." I've left his practice. His office needs to understand what is meant by scheduling an appointment. A lot of people have flexible schedules that can deal with this issue--I, however, work in a corporate job.

I came here several times for their O Skin Signature Facial for $165 but you can customize it with…read moreupgrades like LED light therapy, dermaplaning, dermasweep for an extra fee. The actual treatment is very relaxing. Their signature facial also includes a face mask, a shoulder and hand massage, and paraffin wax for your hands and feet. They also offer other services such as weight loss, botox, eyebrow sculpting, etc. Just keep in mind that only RNs can do extractions here, which is inconvenient because there was a time I had to wait around 30 minutes just for an RN to become available, and other times I didn't get extractions at all because they were too busy. Beyond the wait times, some of the RNs have an attitude and a major lack of follow-up. For instance, a family member of mine had to take medications prescribed there and was told by both the doctor and the RN themselves to text the nurse if she had any questions. However, whenever she texted her for clarification of the prescribed medications , the RN wouldn't reply for hours--and this happened more than once. I also had a personal encounter with an RN who got visibly upset when the front desk asked her to do my extraction. She actually took her frustration out on me because she mistook me for another customer. Of course, I didn't just let her treat me that way--mistaken identity or not, paying customers should never be treated like that, regardless of how busy a Saturday it is. Otherwise, the front desk staff and the estheticians themselves are very nice. If you plan on becoming a regular customer, my tip is: Get to know the estheticians and find one you like because some are amazing while others are just so-so. As for the facility itself, the place is very clean, smells great, and has nice amenities. Their waiting area is very comfortable with light snacks, they provide lockers for your things, and they even have heated toilet seats! The place is located inside the Cerritos Mall. But despite the huge parking areas - finding a spot is a real pain. With the exception of some staff members who have attitude, O Skin lives up to my expectations of providing high quality facials.

She was talking to me and I got distracted so I was not able to correct her on time until it's too late! I called her and let her know. And today I have weekly appointments for my shots and I am scheduled today and it has been for the last month and no one informed me about today being closed! I even called last Thursday if they're open and the receptionist said they are!!! It's a waste of time for me going and missing my weekly shots so now I will be behind 3 days since my next availability is Tuesday. I hope management sees this as I need to file a formal complaint, this is unacceptable!
