Both surgeries were successful, achieved their goals, and met or exceeded my expectations. While this is a sample size of two, this is a very convincing outcome in an industry known for complications and patient dissatisfaction. The results of his work did wonders for my self-image. The extent to which this doctor can improve a person's life is just crazy. Dr D, as an oral surgeon, is extremely qualified, careful, and judicious in planning and performing treatments. He can be nonchalant when discussing surgery, e.g. being neutral between options, avoiding scientific terms, and such. However my unease was dispelled when I brought fairly dense academic papers on blepharoplasty to our meeting and Dr D was familiar with them and was able to comment on the current research and practice in the field, as well as position himself in it. I also appreciated his honest opinion on the relative efficacy of alternative treatments. For example, I thought that filler was the way to address eye bags, but Dr D said that filler just will do what I want and suggested blepharoplasty. Which worked perhaps even better than can reasonably be expected. His staff is great. I can't even describe the extent to which Susan Cianciulli has the act together. She is always on top of processes and resolves impossible problems instantly. In my case, my recovery person flaked and she had a number of recovery nurses at the ready and even covered the cost of hiring one minutes before the surgery. Nina is very kind and supportive. And so is everybody on his team, really. Just such miracle workers.

Prior to this consultation I submitted photos and had multiple phone conversations with the patient coordinator Abagail. Abagail spent a long time with me on the phone answering all of my questions and was very helpful. We spent a lot of time searching for the right date to schedule the surgery, considering how long I would need for rehab, when my husband would be available to drive me afterwards, arranging a dog sitter, scheduling my pre-op appointment and all of the details which must be arranged around the surgery date. We finally agreed on the date of Thursday, September 18, 2025. I told my husband the date. He arranged his schedule of work, travel and meetings to be available during that time, I scheduled the dog sitter, I went to my pre-op appointment, I got clearance from my cardiologist and I was all ready to go on Thursday, Sept. 18. Then I went in for my consultation with Dr. Waltzman who I liked very much. We decided I would be a good candidate for the brachioplasty. He explained the likely outcome and the details of the rehab. He was also kind enough to let me know that I am not a good candidate for skin tightening procedures at my age, due to the lack of enough collagen to get good results from skin tightening procedures. I was very happy to then go to Abagail's office to pay for the procedure and finalize the schedule. That was when Abagail casually informed me that the date she and I had so carefully chosen, the one I had spent so much time making arrangements for, with my husband and his work, my dog sitter, my cardiologist, and my primary care doctor- she informed that this date was no longer available. I was so shocked when Abagail very casually informed me that she had given that surgery date to someone else. I asked her why she had not let me know that the date I had so carefully arranged for was a tentative date. She said that her policy was to not give priority to anyone. My response was that she certainly gave priority to someone else for that date when she had already promised it to me. Abagail declined to apologize to me or to acknowledge that she should have told me the date was tentative. She declined to be accountable at all for putting me in such an inconvenient position. I felt that I had been betrayed, or misled or manipulated or disrespected by this person who refused to take any responsibility. I followed up by calling and speaking to who I was told was the office manager at that time, whose name I do not remember. We had a very helpful conversation where I explained to the manager my experience with Abagail and how inconvenienced I was by being given a surgery date that was so casually withdrawn with no acknowledgement at all that she should have made it clear to me this date was tentative. The manager listened politely and thanked me for the feedback. I thought that was the end of the issue until yesterday. Yesterday I tried calling the Waltzman Institute to schedule a consultation for injections in my lower face. However, Makayla, who I spoke to today, said she had never spoken to me before, and is now the office manager. Makayla very authoritatively informed me that The Waltzman Institute is refusing to have me as a client. So today I learned that the Waltzman Institute has chosen to ignore a potential client's attempts at providing, what some professionals would consider to be valuable feedback. I am disappointed at this response and at how this supposed professional patient coordinator at a reputable medical practice was able to act in such an unprofessional way, refuse to own up to what she did, and then convince other staff members to not listen to me or to consider my feedback. These types of experiences are the most valuable learning experiences for all us, except for those who refuse to hear or listen to feedback, or for those who can't acknowledge their own accountability for their own mistakes, as in his case, when a client calls them on their responsibility to inform the client of all pertinent information pertaining to the surgical date. Before this encounter with Abagail, I was impressed with Dr. Waltzman, and I felt that, to him, earning the trust of his patients is a very important part of his practice. It is ironic that his own patient coordinator, along with the current office manager, should go behind his back to erode that trust . When I spoke to Makayla today, she verbally included Dr. Waltzman himself as one of the decision-makers who voted to ban me from his practice. However, I think that Dr. Waltzman will be ashamed when he learns of this sabotage. I hope that Abagail will at some point grow a seed of how to acknowledge her mistakes and learn that listening to feedback can be personal growth material.

I strongly advise any future patients to thoroughly research and verify the specific medical board certifications of the practitioners here before booking. I am incredibly unhappy with my physical outcomes. I experienced significant contour irregularities on my face, new visible facial veins, and severe asymmetry and uneven contours on my stomach following the liposuction for fat grafting. When I brought these concerns to the doctor, my issues were dismissed as a "spiel," leaving me feeling that these unwanted physical changes were going to be permanent. There was also a major communication breakdown regarding my actual procedures; I woke up to find fat had been transferred to my lips, which was never a part of the treatment plan I agreed to. During follow-up calls, the doctor downplayed my results, telling me my stomach "is not even that bad" and demanding "respect" when I questioned the unauthorized lip procedure. Furthermore, I discovered that the official patient chart notes did not accurately align with our actual conversations. Rather than addressing my surgical complications as part of my ongoing care, the doctor simply offered additional paid services that I could not afford, showing little confidence that he could even resolve the issues. The financial transparency was equally frustrating. My final anesthesia fee ended up significantly higher than my original quote. Then, at my 24-hour post-op appointment, I was told that expensive lymphatic massages were required for proper healing--adding an unexpected out-of-pocket cost of an additional thousand dollars. Between the constant sales pitches and the QR codes soliciting 5-star reviews all over the office, I felt treated more like a financial target than a patient in need of empathetic medical care. Patient privacy and safety were also major concerns. I explicitly requested the office manager ensure that no filming or recording take place during my surgery. Despite this clear boundary, I later discovered social media footage taken of me during my procedure for promotional purposes. Seeing a photo-op prioritized while I was unconscious made me incredibly uncomfortable and made me question if the prolonged procedure time unfairly impacted my anesthesia costs. I deeply regret not seeking another opinion or walking away altogether. While my experience with the management and physician was highly disappointing, the nursing and massage staff members (specifically Margie, Suzette, and Brandon) were wonderful, though there has been significant staff turnover over the last 10 months. Please protect yourself and look elsewhere.

If you are searching for a doctor that is a genius, no exaggeration, but also has the best bed side…read moremanner... search no further Dr. Justin Heller is the best doctor. I know a lot of people claim their doctor is the best doctor, but I work in healthcare and I know just because you went through medical school doesn't mean you are the best doctor. A couple years ago, I was referred by my mother to have Dr. Heller do my plastic surgery, breast augmentation surgery. It was right before my wedding, and I had a very narrow window where I could get this done. He fit me into his busy schedule and I was mot the easiest case because of my scoliosis I'm very uneven and my rib cage is kinda twisted. He took the extra time to make sure everything looked perfect. He is not only a terrific surgeon but has an artist's eye for perfection. He even made a house call to check on my mom after her surgery. I've never seen a doctor go out of his way like dr. Heller to make sure his patients feel comfortable and taken care. Now for the miracle case, recently Dr. Heller was the only doctor that actually took initiative on my perplexing hand/finger case. After a month of being in total agony, and being admitted into the ER twice for four days, no doctor would perform surgery on my swollen finger. My right middle finger swelled up while I was sleeping one night and my boyfriend had to saw off my ring to get it off. I've been having swelling of my hand and feet lately, possibly an autoimmune disorder, but my finger never went back down to its normal size. It actually continued to keep swelling and I use my hands for my work, so I was not about to lose a finger to this mystery swelling. Doctors kept saying they would do surgery and then they would come back in and back out of surgery because they didn't know why my finger was swollen and they worried draining it would cause infection. My finger wasn't infected though and I felt like other doctors were not listening to me. I finally remembered Dr. Heller wasn't just a plastic surgeon, he had a specialty in hand surgery. I drove from Orange County to Lancaster in tears and hoping he could help me. Dr. Heller showed me compassion and confidence that he would find time in his busy schedule and take me to surgery the next day. He found a clear plastic rubber band hair tie had been around my finger cutting off almost all veins and ligaments almost on the bone in surgery. So I basically had a tourniquet around my finger for a month and he almost had to amputate, but instead he decided to save my finger. I guess I was distracted one day when I was braiding my hair and the rubber band was so small I put it around my finger while I was braiding my hair and it must have skipped under my ring. When my boyfriend sawed off the ring the rubber band had slipped in to a tiny cut in my finger. No doctor even thought to look in the cut and they saw it in the CT but said it was scar tissue, NO IT WAS A RUBBER BAND! I got out of surgery and saw Dr. Heller every week and did physical therapy and his team helped me with disability insurance and were so supportive. I cannot brag about Dr. Heller enough! Some people become doctors to help people and then some people like Dr. Heller become a doctor to not just help people, but SAVE people and go to every length to make them comfortable. Go see Dr. Heller either in Valencia or Lancaster, it's worth it!!

Dr. Powers offered me a discount on a tummy tuck so I had it done. She sent me to a recovery facility where they encouraged me to walk upright and my wound opened up. Instead of gluing me back shut she allowed it to scar over the open tissue, making a scar so thin that the waistband of my underwear rubs against it and opens a wound which is easily infected. This went on for over a year with bandages and ointment from my PCP. Finally I came up with the idea of wearing maternity underwear and that seems to fix it. The underwear comes up to my bust.
