Hi to anyone and everyone that want to listen to My experience with Doctor Hicks and there staff. My first visit for Breast argumentation with Dr. Hicks was back In 2009. Well let me go back a little before I met Doctor Hicks and there staff. I did research, well I thought I found the perfect Doctor in Fontana, California. That's were my nightmare began. He charged me 1500 extra for a breast lift that I didn't need also he didn't perform, he also put saline implants when I ask for silicone Less then a year, one of the implants start to leak and they had to replace them. Now mine you I had ask can he go under the breast to insert implants he told me the best way is to go through the nipple, he was the doctor and I believed him. I didnt worry. I had insurance, I still wasn't aware what type of doctor I was dealing with. (My fault) I go for my second surgery. Which was the worst. After surgery the bottom of my stomach was swollen I felt like, something wasn't right, but glad I was alive and my implants were replaced. The worst experience in my life. Year and half those implants leak Now I'm sad and I wasn't going back to that doctor. So I started a Google research again and came across Doctor Pearlman Hicks. Wow!!! The best Doctor and right in my city. Ya!! Doctor Pearlman changed my life. Let me say this when he took my implants out back in 2009, My third surgery. I had two different implants, saline and I had ask for silicone twice that crazy doctor did what he wanted to my body, I Thank God I made it through. Doctor Pearlman did my argumentation surgery under the breast. And I had the best Tits and I was happy. I went far out thinking thats where the good doctors are. Not true my lesson was a hard one to learn. Don't make the same mistakes. But unfortunately my body reject those implants and I had to replace them I had capsular contracture so now going for my fourth and final surgery on 8/26/22. I wasnt afraid and felt very comfortable in doing so. Thanks Doctor Pearlman and staff. Oh!! Wait the lady name Ms. Norma I felt so close to her she made me feel like she was family. Horrible bedside manner. Was going to get work done by him and told him during consultation how I'm excited to wear a bikini again and condescendingly commented on how 'you'll still have stretch marks'. Who said anything about stretch marks? Really mature when I just had a baby not even 3 months prior. Mind you this POS is 300 lbs overweight to begin with being a doctor. I gave Dr. Hicks an opportunity to make it right, but he was not interested in acting with integrity. I got my neck done a few months ago. He charged me $9,000. My neck looks terrible. I previously raved about this doctor, until my results settled in and the scarring was HORRIBLE. I am so upset with how the results turned out. The scars spread, discolored, and keloided. I went in to discuss with him and he said "oh yeah Caucasians typically keloid that's normal" except he didn't tell me about this ever prior to the surgery! Now the office is shut down, and there is nothing I can do about it except have his work redone by someone else. read more

You really should own up to the fact you did not do absolutely nothing to my arms but give me a scar. Do us all a favor and you post a before picture. Let's see what you have. I can post a side by side and see. You should have made an attempt to correct or refunded my money. Doctors mess up too. You Dr Hicks caused me many years of depression. Maybe I should have sued you and let the truth be known. I had several consultations. Do you want me to post those and maybe you will own your mishaps. I have a journal. You just cut my arm. You provided no lipo prior to slicing my arms!!!! Because no lipo was performed and the fat remained even though some skin was removed. The keloid was from the fat that Dr Pearlman did not remove. The weight of my arm remained from the fat that was not removed. I'm waiting on Dr Pearlman to post that before picture. I'm waiting!!!! My first encounter with Dr. Hicks was on 09/12/17 when I went in for a breast augmentation. I felt very welcomed by all the staff. Malena, Denise and everyone greeted me well and was friendly. I was helped right away and did not wait at all. Dr. Hicks answered all my questions. However, I was very unsure if I wanted to continue the procedure or not (was very afraid of going under anesthesia since I have never had surgery before). I decided to scheduled another consultation with Dr. Hicks and asked more questions to help ease my mind. Dr. Hicks was very knowledgeable and by my second consultation I knew Dr. Hicks would do amazing job. I set up my appointment and got my breast augmentation on 09/29/17. On the day of my surgery I was extremely nervous but all the staff helped calm my nerves. I was well taken care of. I am two weeks post augmentation! The pain is almost gone and my breast are still swollen but so far I am loving my results! I got 485 CC silicone implants and couldn't be any happier with my size. The only thing I regret is not getting my breast done sooner! I have had two post op check ups and I'm healing well. I can't wait to see the final results. I definitely recommend Dr. Hicks. He is very knowledgeable, the staff is great, the office is nice and clean, and pricing is very affordable with payment plans available. I definitely recommend contacting Malena as a coordinator. Dr. Hicks is amazing!!! He's honest, professional and caring. I went in for my consultation and he examined me. He explained that he'd do his best. I had a case of severe stretch marks and my rectus abdominis was stretched beyond non-surgical options. I am very physically active my routine included crossfit, aerial yoga, hoops and dancing. My abdomen skin was floppy and I had a pouch no matter how much I exercised It was embarrassing to lift my arms fearing my abdomen would show. I was referred to Dr. Hicks by one of my Crossfit buddies. She told me he was great and he had a payment plan I was so excited. I made an appointment immediately for a consultation. I scheduled my procedure for December 14, 2019. I met with him a week before my surgery and I was able to ask him questions and discuss any concerns that I may have. He was honest and realistic in what outcome could be expected for my condition. I really appreciated his honesty. However, the results were better than I could every imagine. I received a Christmas card from the office wishing me Merry Christmas and a speedy recovery. If that wasn't enough, Dr. Hicks called me 3 days post op to check on me and one of his staff members called me 4 days post op to check one me. I went in weekly for about 3 weeks to be checked. He cleared me to receive Lymphatic drainage massages by Malena. I highly recommend these massages. The massages helped me to stand up straighter, decreased swelling, decreased soreness and just felt good. I had stretch marks above my navel so those remain, but they're not very visible and I can rock a two piece with no shame to my game. My body is summer ready. The before and after pictures were exactly the same. The only thing I see different is scarring.. Even his nurse said she could see no difference in the before and after pics and apologized.. Dr. Hicks was the third consultation I got about getting a hyperhydrosis (armpits) surgery done. Wow! What a great experience. I wanted to have a breast lift for the longest time. I searched out cosmetic surgeons looking for advice. Today I went in for my 3 week check up for lower eyelid surgery, or removal of the bags under the eyes I could not be any happier with the results! The scarring is almost invisible and the swelling is almost gone. Dr. Hicks is a very patient and kind person and will answer all your questions so don't be afraid to ask. I usually don't write reviews, but I was recently looking up my favorite doctor who has done many cosmetic and non-cosmetic procedures on me. It upset me to read some of these reviews that criticized his ability or his office. The office is located by 2 major hospitals, which is more convenient for him and his patients. The previous review, "Doug", failed to see that Dr Hicks does more than just "boob jobs". He has treated and currently treats major trauma patients for more than 20 years! He's probably the most experienced plastic surgeons in all of Long Beach. Every surgery that he's done for me and my friends have turned out amazing. I was referred to Dr. Hicks by my best friend who claimed to have found the best plastic surgeon in the area. Although I was impressed with her results, I had a few doubts. I have in fact referred family members to the and trust that they too will love them and their results. What really puts this private practice above and beyond are the people that they bring in, my anesthesiologist and nurse were great! They arrived early to introduce themselves, explain their role in the procedure, and answer questions. My friend actually had a different anesthesiologist and nurse and they too were great, therefore it is clear that Dr. hicks is selective of his team and definitely has an 'A' team behind him.
