Since my initial review, I have been in ongoing communication with the office regarding anesthesia billing and documentation. I did receive formal legal correspondence requesting that I remove my review. However, my primary request throughout this process has remained the same -- to obtain accurate billing records and to address concerns regarding how anesthesia pricing was presented on the day of surgery. After multiple requests, I was eventually provided documentation. During that process, I discovered that the original anesthesia invoice had been sent to an incorrect email address, which does not match either of the email addresses I have on file. This explains why the invoice was not received earlier and contributed to delays in resolving this issue. My current concern relates to the anesthesia cost increasing from an initial estimate of approximately $500, to approximately $1,500, and ultimately to approximately $1,800. The final amount was presented on the day of surgery while I was already being prepared for the procedure. At that time, I was already in a surgical setting, extremely nervous, and had already committed significant time, preparation, and financial resources based on the previously discussed amount. While I understand that estimates can change, I did not expect a final increase to be presented at that stage. I did not feel I had a meaningful opportunity to evaluate the change or reconsider the financial terms before moving forward. I was also advised that the procedure would still be billed if I did not proceed, which made it difficult to pause or reassess the situation after I had already signed prior documentation and prepared for surgery. Additionally, I had been told the procedure was urgent, which added to the pressure of making a decision in that moment. During this process, I also learned that the anesthesia provider did not present or discuss the final pricing with me directly. Instead, the updated pricing and consent were handled through staff within the surgery center. Manoosh, who works with the surgical office, presented the revised pricing, obtained my signature on the updated document, and collected payment for the increased amount. Because the payment was collected through the surgery center and the updated agreement was facilitated by their staff, I have directed my concerns to Ocean Plastic Surgery regarding how this process was handled. As of now, I have not received a response from the office addressing these concerns. I am continuing to seek resolution directly, but I would encourage others to ask detailed questions about anesthesia pricing, timing of final cost disclosures, and available payment options well in advance of any procedure. The entire staff is so welcoming- when I go to my appointments, it is like going to visit my friends! Dr. Mehrzad is so kind! I felt like I could trust him immediately! OMG.. Where do I start?!! I had an amazing experience at Ocean Plastic Surgery. Everyone from the staff, to the nurses, front desk, and the main star, Dr. M are phenomenal. I recently had a fat transfer to my under eye and it went better that expected! From the initial consultation, Dr. Mehrzad was very reassuring and informative about how the procedure would go. I had a million questions and he stayed longer than a typical consultation would take to answer them. I really loved the advice he gave me before and after surgery to essentially help me retain as much fat as possible (low inflammatory diet, red light therapy, etc). He's extremely knowledgeable and very personable, which are a few of the main reasons I decided to have him perform my surgery. The surgery itself took around 2 hours from me walking in the office to me leaving. I obviously was nervous as it was my first surgery, but even with me only having local anesthesia, I felt very little discomfort. We even had a little Usher jam session during the procedure, which was kind of fun and helped get me out of my head lol. I really love my results and am happy I decided to get the surgery. I didn't have any pain afterwards except a little soreness from the donor site (lower stomach)...Id compare it to the muscle fatigue after an ab circuit session at the gym. Looking back at my before pictures, I think Dr. M achieved the outcome I was hoping for. My under eyes look refreshed and I still look the same, but better. I'm so grateful everything went well. Although the surgery was fairly short, I felt like he really took his time and added his artistic touch while still taking my natural features into account. Really unprofessional and rude appointment scheduling staff. I contacted them and asked what is the ball park price range for the specific procedure I wanted. Instead of them just saying you have to do a consultation to find out, they said that AND "Ohh if you're looking for the cheapest prices, that's not what you'll find here, we have the best doctors" and they went on a spiel about how they're not the cheapest, nor the most expensive either. Ummm what? I said why are you putting words in my mouth? I never said I was looking for the cheapest service or that your doctors are bad? And they never replied to me after that. Seeing Dr. Mehrzad has changed my life in the best way. I found Ocean Plastic Surgery and Dr. Raman Mehrzad through Instagram. One of their posts mentioned that breast reduction surgery may be covered by PPO insurance. I have wanted a breast reduction for nearly 20 years, and now that I finally have Platinum PPO insurance, I decided it was time to try. I reached out to the office, and they responded promptly and professionally. I sent over my insurance information, and they clearly explained that approval is not automatic and that I would need to come in so my information could be properly submitted to insurance. I appreciated that they level set expectations from the start. When I arrived at the office, I was impressed. The space is beautifully designed, and I was offered tea, coffee, and water while waiting. From the moment I met Dr. Mehrzad, I felt away by his energy, positivity, and confidence. He has an incredible presence and immediately made me feel comfortable. It quickly became clear that he is not only warm and personable, but also brilliant, highly trained, and deeply committed to his work. You can tell he is a perfectionist, in the best possible way. After examining me and taking measurements, Dr. Mehrzad told me he would be surprised if insurance didn't approve my surgery. While I knew my breasts were disproportionately large, I didn't fully grasp just how extreme my case was. I was a 36HH in UK sizing and a 36L in US sizing. In universal cup sizing, that put me at a 36 D9 (yes, nine Ds). My breasts were extremely heavy and caused chronic neck and back pain, deep permanent grooves in my shoulders from bras, and rashes under my breasts that would turn into open wounds. Dr. Mehrzad also explained the realities of insurance approval: if approved, insurance would require a minimum amount of tissue to be removed, and the approval window would only last about a month. Sure enough, a few days later, I received an email saying I was denied. I wasn't shocked, but I was disappointed. Then, 11 days later, I received another email, this time saying I was approved. Dr. Mehrzad personally fought the denial through an appeal and peer-to-peer review and got my surgery approved. That alone speaks volumes about his work ethic and dedication to his patients. The approval window was tight, and there was only one date that worked with both his schedule and the surgery center. He made it happen. My pre-op appointment was thorough and reassuring, and the entire Ocean Plastic Surgery staff was incredibly helpful in preparing me. On the day of surgery, the procedure took about six hours. Insurance required a minimum removal of 750 grams per breast, but Dr. Mehrzad removed approximately three pounds from each breast and I could not be happier with the result! The surgery was on a Friday, and over the weekend I had a few concerns. I reached out to Dr. Mehrzad, and he personally answered my call, texted with me, reassured me, called in a new prescription when needed, and followed up to check on me. That level of communication and accessibility is rare and truly sets him apart. It shows a level of professionalism and care that you simply don't see everywhere. I am now three days post-op, and everything is healing beautifully. Given my size, there was initially a possibility that I might need a nipple graft, but that is no longer a concern, another testament to Dr. Mehrzad's skill. Dr. Mehrzad is exceptional, and his entire team is amazing. Special thanks to Manoosh and Cindy, who were kind, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire process. If you are considering breast reduction, or any plastic surgery, and want a surgeon who is talented, meticulous, and genuinely invested in your outcome, I cannot recommend Dr. Mehrzad and Ocean Plastic Surgery highly enough. read more

I was really hoping for a better outcome with the new plastic surgeon taking over, but unfortunately, nothing has changed. I've decided to go elsewhere. ....my experience with the office manager/ supervisor/ relative / whatever...Manosh*, has been very disappointing. She's not easy to communicate with, rarely returns calls in a timely manner, and often comes across as too busy to be attentive or accommodating. I've also felt pressured into making decisions I wasn't comfortable with, even though she tries to make it seem otherwise. It's unfortunate because I truly respect the doctor, but the lack of professionalism and responsiveness from Manosh* makes the overall experience frustrating. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the results of my aesthetic procedure. As the doctor like to call it,"hi- definition liposuction " After over three months of healing, the swelling is gone--and yet my stomach looks nearly the same as it did before surgery. There was no noticeable improvement, which makes this feel like a complete waste of time, money, and physical pain. The recovery process was grueling, with nearly three to four weeks of intense pain, not to mention all the lymphatic massagers, red lights and HBot ended up costing me even more in money I wasn't made aware of prior to surgery! I also felt pressured by the office staff to leave a positive review shortly after the procedure--long before I had time to see the actual results. I was also upsold on a "light therapy" treatment that made no difference whatsoever. Post-op follow-up visits offered little guidance or support, and once results were clearly underwhelming, the doctor began blaming my skin elasticity--something that was never discussed before the surgery. The doctor seemed rushed and distracted in most pre-op conversations, often taking calls while driving, which didn't inspire much confidence. While the staff was courteous, they were extremely unknowledgeable about the aftercare. I had to call other people who had this procedure done and research all over the Internet myself. I would not recommend this doctor or clinic to anyone seeking serious aesthetic improvement. Choose wisely--this was an expensive lesson for me. read more

Dr. Mehrzad is gods gift to plastic surgery!! I met Dr. Mehrzad about six months ago during my friends pre-op appointment. First of all he is one of the most brilliant, caring, and honest physicians I have ever met. Not to mention a genius (just google his credentials haha). My experience personally has been nothing but amazing. I have had the following procedure at his office performed directly by him: Daxxify - a new form of Botox that is absolutely amazing Elixir Laser- a combo of red, yellow and blue light therapy Fat Transfer from my thigh to my face. Dr. Mehrzad suggested Fat Transfer instead of fillers which I had no idea was an option. He explained to me how it's a permanent solution that actually in the end is cheaper than continuous filler to the face. My results are absolutely AMAZING! I have had fillers in the past and spent thousands of dollars over the years but never achieved the results I wanted. Procedure: local anesthesia, lasted about 2 hours. Once the fat was taken from my thighs the remaining process is similar to fillers being injected into the face. I had fat transfer under the eyes and small surrounding regions Recovery: I was able to go about my day immediately and go to work. Of course I had minor bruising and minimal swelling. By Day 7 I looked pretty much 90% recovered. Results: I wish I knew about fat transfer sooner!! I'm absolutely obsessed and I would 100% recommend this to anyone thinking about ever putting filler in their face to do a fat transfer instead. I'm so pleased with my results and experience! I have an upcoming Tummy Tuck revision and rhinoplasty with Dr. Mehrzad and look forward to sharing those results as well! It is so heartbreaking to see your young daughter (21yrs) go through a surgery- much less of revision- but these things happen as peoples bodies are different.
