I really wish I could give this place a better review, because Dr. Todd Miller is great. He's very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. I had no problems speaking with him, or seeing him. It's the rest of his staff that I have an issue with. They are not only extremely disorganized, rude, and unknowledgeable, they also take no accountability for their misinformation. I originally called to make a consultation appointment, and they had said that my consultation would be free. Upon entrance, they changed what they said and told me that I would actually have to pay $45. This was annoying, but fine. I told her that I had been told that it would be free, and she said, "Yes, and I misspoke, and I'm sorry about that, but now you need to pay $45." Whatever. Then, after Dr. Miller had said that my procedure would be covered by insurance, she came back and said that no, it would not be covered, even Dr. Miller was pretty sure that it would be. After a little back and forth between them, Dr. Miller told her to look into it, and if it was not covered by my insurance, he would just charge me $25. Two weeks later, I found that *surprise* it *was* covered by my insurance! She was about to charge me x3 the price of something that my insurance ... literally covered .... without checking. Then, I tried to pay my bill online, and the people at the front desk had inputted the incorrect e-mail address, so I could not pay my bill. They tried to say that I gave them the wrong e-mail (but it's my name........ pretty sure I know how to spell my own name?) and were really rude when I spoke to them. So even though I would like to go back and see Dr. Miller, I will not be because this whole process was really annoying and stressful for no reason. read more

She is argumentative and likes to hang up the phone and yell! I had an emergency where I was in severe pain with Salivary stones, I have had extensive jaw trauma with 3 major jaw surgeries in my past that I flew to the east coast and west coast to resolve my issues with the top world acclaimed doctors, so I wanted to avoid just going to the ER & wanted a specialist to look at me in my emergency need. Especially since my jaw requires such delicate care. I called many different ENT's and they wouldn't make the time for me even when I explained my situation. I was just about ready to go to the hospital, but somehow by luck came across someone who recommended that Dr Todd Miller was a fantastic doctor, that she was treated by him and even had surgery with him -- she raved how much she loved his work. When I called, he not only made time for me, he and his staff stayed open late just for me! With a quick outpatient procedure, I left the office feeling amazing. I have never felt more touched, there are not many (if any) doctors who would stay late like that!! Really shows his character. This is a doctor who TRULY cares and the staff was so sweet, warm, and kind, I felt everyone really genuinely cared about me. He was so skillful and explained everything so thoroughly with me, I felt I understood the whole process because of his clarity and transparency. He helped me feel calm when I was so scared, and was very delicate with my jaw and so considerate of my special needs. I feel SO blessed that I was able to cross paths with him. I came to his office with tears of pain and left with tears of relief and joy. I could not recommend him more highly. Just as a response to the very few older less favorable reviews I see below, I was chatting with the people at the office on my way out asking about how long they have been with him, and they told me that his office & front desk staff is new. They mentioned to me how before he had a rough time with his past staff which is a shame because he is such a talented incredible doctor. He really listened to his past patients and totally hired a new team, and they are incredible, so organized, and ready to jump at the chance to show it. I spent minimal time coordinating my appointment, and was not in the waiting room long, and they were swift with all my paperwork, Insurrance, and payments. They even waved a fee for me and covered my parking expense! As if they didn't already go above and beyond in just staying late alone. They jumped through hoops for me! I visited the Los Alamitos ENT office of Dr. Miller and Dr. Fishman - I'm sure both doctors are great at what they do, but this review is for their billing department in their Los Alamitos office. They said they never received my check, so I sent another one and we realized that they later cashed both checks and they repeatedly sent more bills for smaller amounts even though my insurance already paid it. read more

He, as an ENT doctor, was great for me previously. His office staff on the other hand is what gets the 1 star (because I can't give less) review. At his Newport office, I saw him back in 2015. The first bill showed up 18 months later... yes, a year and a half later... I attempted to pay twice over the phone by credit card, both times they never ended up charging the card, and gave me the run around, but kept sending me bills. They kept giving excuses about changing billing companies, nobody getting billed for a year and half, etc etc... Anyway, fast forward to last week... My primary care doc recommended I see and ENT for an issue. Having seen Dr Miller before, he was great. I saw his office is now in Los Alimotos. I figured as bad as billing dept was at his now closed Newport location, I liked him as a doc enough to make the far drive and give it a second chance. Made an appointment, drove all the way up there, got there early, filled out paper work, and they had me in a room within 5 mins of my appt time. Then someone came in, and read through every page that I just filled out, while typing it into the computer in front of me. They said he'd be in shortly. 50 mins later... nothing. No update, no doc. I leave the room and walk out to the counter and tell them it's been 50 mins, I can't wait any longer and have to leave. They all (about 5-6 of them) now suddenly are interested. One of them says oooohh.... well, we have two more in front of you, so it won't be much longer (Already 50 mins after my appt time with two more in front of me). I said, uh, no, i'm leaving. Another one jumps in and says, WHAT IF WE CAN GET YOU NEXT? I say, nah, i'm done. I just want my co-pay back and i'm done. Then they ask, well, did you see the doctor at all??? No, I didn't see him at all, I just want my co-pay back, and I want to leave. Would you like to reschedule? There won't be a co-pay if you do. I said, no thank you, I want my co-pay back, I'm done. So then I ask if they validate (It's only $3 to park, but now i'm over the whole thing) and they say yeah, and give me card for $1 off so it's only $2. (and then I give them the "really?" face. Another office staff came over and said hold on.. and gives me another one so parking was covered. Then when they are refunding my co-pay, another staff member said, well you have to book the first appt after lunch, then this doesn't happen.... I just stare at her... Meanwhile, earlier they said they get back from lunch at 1 or 130 depending on the day from overhearing them on the phone during check in, and my appt was 145. They ask me to come back the following day, I said no, I'm done. It's a 35-40 min drive each way, I've wasted a total of 2hrs+ already, and that ship has sailed. Had the doctor had an emergency come up, something running late, etc, I would have understood if there was any communication. Had I had an update that he's running about 30-45 mins behind, that would have been more understandable. But it seemed very, very, normal to all of the staff that after 50 mins, having two more people in front of me, seemed like a completely regular and acceptable thing. Honestly, I really liked him as an ENT when I saw him 4 years ago. He was great. But his billing staff in Newport couldn't get it together at all, and now his Los Alimotos staff is even worse. I was looking for a good ENT for years, I found one, and unfortunately his staff will keep me away from ever going back. read more

I took my 9yr old daughter into see Dr. Miller for a possible broken nose. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. No to mentioned the visit was very quick, and still very thorough. I was very pleased, didn't seem like he was disinterested or just getting through a another patient. Parking is the only foreseeable issue, but that's not Miller's fault. Just plan ahead and bring a couple dollars for the fee. Doctor and Staff are recommended. Thanks again. read more

This is easily the worst doctor that I have ever seen in my life. He is not only a jerk but he was not a good doctor, in my situation. No bedside manner skills whatsoever and even when waiting for surgery in the hospital, my girlfriend was ready to throw something at him. To make matters worse, I got a nasty infection after the surgery. A complaint has been filed by me to the State Medical Board. I cannot urge people to avoid this guy any more. read more

Dr Miller performed a tonsillectomy on me in June of 2018. He did a great job on my surgery and he also listening to my complaints of ear issues, facial pain, sinus fullness. After getting my tonsils out, I would say 80% of my problems are resolved. Most of these I have been suffering with for years. I also haven't been sick since surgery and before that I was having a dose of antibiotics every month for sinus infections. If you have random sinus issues that can't be explained look into having your tonsils out. I am so glad I found a doc who offered the procedure. I had these taken out at 31 years old, worse pain of my life recovering but well worth it. Side note - expect to wait at los al office it is always crowded. read more

Dr. Miller is not only a bad surgeon, he's not a nice person. He forgot to tie down my platysmal bands and said he would fix it however it looked so bad that I didn't want him to touch me again. The trust was gone. I had to redo it with someone else. He was not kind when I told him I was depressed. I would give him zero stars if I could. The picture below is is my neck after surgery. If I were you I would RUN!!! You want someone who is conscientious, and a perfectionist working on your face. He said everyone "heals different." Then he blamed me saying I didn't do good after care. I spoke to several other doctors and they all said he did not do the surgery correctly and pull the skin and redrape it well-even forgotting to do a major part of a standard neck lift. Do yourself a favor and go to Dr Kachenmeister in Mission Viejo. He is head of plastic surgery of Mission Hills Hospital, versus Dr. Miller who is a cosmetic surgeon. I did both surgeries in the office and don't remember a thing about the second one. With Dr. Miller I was awake the whole time- it was horrific. The surgery and recovery time was night and day. Don't mess around with your face, or someone who is so unscrupulous and unkind. He was more concerned about me ruining his reputation by getting another physician and not about me being extremely depressed. All I wanted was my lousy $7000 back since I had to have it corrected. Wonder why he charges so little? The decent surgeons charge at least $11,000. Don't scrimp on something so important because you'll end up paying double. It's also the principal of doing right by people and treating them with respect-especially if you forgot to do part of it. Not professional. PS I initially did not tell the other drs who did the work on my face. But after he treated me so horribly I figured they deserved to know as they seem to fix others work frequently. I was referred to Dr. Miller by my general physician with appeared to be a large lipoma (fatty tissue tumor) on the back of my head. On my first visit I quickly realized everything I read on Yelp about how great his office was, was 100% true, when I was met by the most welcoming office I've had the pleasure of visiting. Upon diagnosing my lipoma, Dr. Miller was able to perform surgery within a month, and excised the large 7 cm lipoma that had been growing on the back of my head. Dr. Miller successfully performed the procedure, and managed to leave a very small incision in my hairline, that minimized potential scarring. In the weeks that have followed my procedure, he has made himself consistently available and has continued to offer support. I know Miller Cosmetics is known for their cosmetic surgery, which is superficial, however they are much deeper than that!! I was at my wits end, my son's ear was compacted with ear wax, he couldn't hear and was in severe pain, I had called every ENT doctor in town and no one would see him. As a last ditch effort, seeing on our insurance website that Miller Cosmetic had an ENT doctor on staff, I called them (with not much hope left) They were nothing short of amazing!!! So eager to help!! The receptionist, very understandingly, said to bring him right in and they'd get him in to see the doctor. Indeed, they got him right in and his ear was cleared in minutes!!! Everyone was soooooo nice and friendly and pleasant!! What a great experience!! These people are far from superficial, they have HEART!!! Dr. Miller and his staff set the bar very high when it comes to visiting and ENT, in terms of expertise, knowledge, professionalism, customer service and even office location and ambiance! I know he does cosmetic procedures as well, but I went to see him for a throat related issue and his office was able to schedule me right away, taking advantage of a cancellation. I went in and was met by one of the most friendly, helpful and efficient front office EVER. They even offered me some water, and made sure I didn't forget the bottle when I left! On the doctor's side -- he was very knowledgeable, truly concerned and listened and took good notes when I told my story and symptoms. He then did a variety of physical tests to pinpoint the area in my throat (side/back of mouth really) that was causing me so much grief. He was able to rule out anything serious, and tried one more little test/probe that seemed to make the lump smaller. Eventually, after taking his advice, the problem disappeared completely. My main point, is that I've been to two other ENTs for other types of things (hearing, and a hoarse voice) and neither of them took the time to actually Listen and I never felt like either of them cared as healers. With Dr. Miller, I was so impressed with his true interest and concern - even with something relatively minor. And he has a certain intuitiveness that lends itself to the care he provides. It may sound a bit 'new age' but he really does have the Healer vibe about him. I HIGHLY recommend him AND his wonderful staff! read more

I waited way too long to finally have a neck lift and the reason I waited was fear of looking like had major work done. The opposite ended up being true. I look much improved but not surgical. And I cannot believe how easy and quick the healing was. I had the surgery on Friday afternoon and was able to return to work Monday. I still had some minor swelling and bruising but it was not even noticeable. 100 % pleased with the results so far. I also had fat transfer done at the same time so the total cost ended up being discounted to $5500 for both procedures. Very friendly staff greets you and are so accommodating and helpful. Dr. Miller really listened, had an immediate grasp of my sinus history and suggested a treatment that I'm very comfortable with. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Miller and his staff. They made me feel right at home, and I had both eyelid surgery as well as laser treatment to my face. I am very pleased and satisfied with my eyelid surgery. Dr. Miller is very honest and trustworthy. He listens to you and actually understands what you really want. I have had other surgery by another cosmetic surgeon and begin seeing mistake after mistake so I started looking around for another cosmetic surgeon. My mother wanted work done but I could not recommend the previous Dr. to her. So we went to a consultation from something we saw on TV.
