I saw Ms. Kelly, NP, in March for a comprehensive skin exam. She appeared to perform a thorough…read moreevaluation and advised that my next full‑body skin check could be scheduled in 1-2 years. Less than a month later, I noticed a suspicious lesion on the sole of my foot--an area I don't typically look at closely. My PCP agreed it looked atypical and recommended that I return to dermatology for further evaluation. I scheduled another appointment with Ms. Kelly in April. After examining the lesion, she told me it appeared to be an atypical acral nevus and recommended either a biopsy that day or a 3‑month follow‑up to monitor for changes. When I received the bill for the second visit, I was surprised and disappointed to find that I owed a balance. Given how soon the second appointment occurred and the nature of the lesion, I believe it was likely present--but overlooked--during the initial comprehensive exam. It was difficult to reconcile a 12-24 month follow‑up from the first visit with a 3 month follow‑up just weeks later. The likelihood that the lesion appeared, grew aggressively, and then stabilized within that brief window seems low to me. I expressed to the clinic that, under these circumstances, I felt the remaining balance should be waived. I spoke with both the billing specialist and the office manager, but they explained that the visit would be billed regardless. I ultimately paid the balance. While the staff and provider were polite and professional, my overall experience was not ideal. I was left with the feeling that the initial comprehensive exam may not have been as thorough as I expected. I fully believe providers should be compensated for their work and recognize that healthcare and insurance systems are complex, but I was not completely satisfied with the care I received at this clinic.

I can be forgiving, but when I got there and they lost my new patient record, it does not leave a good taste as to how they are organizing behind the scene. Dr. Hamidi seems really nice (personally very likable) but when I brought up my experience, she sort of hinted that she does not get involved with the administration, instead of saying, "I'm so sorry that you experienced that and I will be sure to let management know." I'm not sure the office has the level of compassion that patients are looking for. At this point, I'm not sure if I will be returning. Since I live so close to this clinic, I thought it might be a good match, but I'm having second thoughts.

The actual treatment is very relaxing. Their signature facial also includes a face mask, a shoulder and hand massage, and paraffin wax for your hands and feet. They also offer other services such as weight loss, botox, eyebrow sculpting, etc. Just keep in mind that only RNs are allowed to perform extractions here which turns to be a real hassle at times. One time, I had to wait over 30 minutes just for a nurse to become available, and on other occasions, I couldn't get the extraction done at all because they were too busy. To make matters worse, some of the RNs have poor attitudes and "hardly ever follow up". A family member was specifically told to text the nurse with any medication questions, but when she did, the RN repeatedly took hours to reply. I also had a personal encounter with an RN who got visibly upset when the front desk asked her to do my extraction. She actually took her frustration out on me because she mistook me for another customer. Whether it was a case of mistaken identity or not, paying customers should never be treated this way, no matter how busy they are. Otherwise, the front desk staff and the estheticians themselves are very nice. If you plan on becoming a regular customer, my tip is: Get to know the estheticians and find one you like because some are amazing while others are just so-so. As for the facility itself, the place is very clean, smells great, and has nice amenities. Their waiting area is very comfortable with light snacks, they provide lockers for your things, and they even have heated toilet seats! The place is located inside the Cerritos Mall.
