Didn't have a great experience with Face2Face. Only stayed with them for about 15 days. In the course of those 15 days, they: - Provided me with the wrong time for a fitting - Central Casting swears it was one time, and Face2Face swore they gave me the time Central told them. It messed up my day; I had to spend hours waiting to be fitted and missed an important appointment. And I understand that miscommunications/mistakes happen. But when I emailed in (nicely) to tell them about what happened, there was no accountability taken, no apologies, and they said they'd look into it but never got back to me. - Didn't let me know about a possible recall day (which turned into another day on set). All the other extras knew so it must have been communicated by Central. The first I heard from them about it was the night before; they texted saying that I was expected on set the next day. No prior warning that this even had a chance of happening. I had actually been booked on an (unrelated) night shoot on the recall day, having led me to think my day was open (recalls take priority so they cancelled me on that). - Sent me a June invoice for $65, when it only should have been $30 because I had joined mid-May and paid the full $65. Must have been a mistake, but I'd prefer to not constantly have to be on my toes making sure I'm paying the right price. Btw, I decided not to renew my membership for June because the the above two events. I explained my reasons but got no response; they just said they were taking me off. Even though I had paid a full month's rate, I was only good for the rest of May (I registered mid-May). I could have stayed for another month and gotten that reduced rate of $30 (assuming I called them on their incorrect invoice) but by this point I decided I didn't want to give them any more money. Some might say I'm being nit-picky but if I'm paying $65 a month I don't want to have to worry about not getting communicated important information. read more

I've been working as a background actor for spare money for several years and have been with Face2Face for the last year. I won't name the company that I was with before Face2Face but needless to say I was not happy with them. Face2Face has a smaller roster than the other companies and that gives them the opportunity to focus on me and my work opportunities, rather than just getting lost in a roster of thousands. I've spoken to both Mike and Eden on several occasions and they are always more than happy to answer my questions regarding bookings. I've found that being proactive and calling them with leads from Central Casting and asking to be booked has helped me get booked. I've recommended them to several of my friends, and now we're all working regularly so I'd thought I'd extend the recommendation on yelp! read more

F2F is a great company. I was booked right away, and worked every month. Actors must realize it is NOT the agency's fault if you do not get booked for a while. Casting Director's and productions choose. F2F works very hard for client's. They have a great system online and the contract is good. These guys are good, and I mean really good. Their level of communication is top of the line and they put the client (you and I) first. The user interface website is extremely easy to use making it ideal keeping up with your schedule and casting preferences. I have only been working with F2F for a couple weeks and the only days I haven't been cast on a show were the days I had marked as unavailable. CHECK THIS OUT. On my second casting, The 5th Quarter, I was given lines and upgraded to SAG AFTRA contact for the day. Mike was very disrespectful and rude. When they only book you once or twice a week, I submit myself hoping to get more work. They told me if I am submitting myself I shouldn't have a service. They put you on hold constantly so you think you might be working and then take you off hold causing you to lose work and money. I don't usually leave reviews, but I don't appreciate getting phone calls being yelled at because I booked myself on another show when they had me on hold. The hold was still on there at 6pm and was for the next day. Mike was very unprofessional and that is why I decided to cancel them. It's all done from the comfort of your home. Mike and Eden are very nice and helpful, and answer all questions asked right away. Where do I start? I honestly can't say enough great things about Face2face. The thing about "calling" or "call-in" services is that you have to find one that works for you and I've found that with Face2face. Their online calendar is great and extremely easy to use. On the site is where you have the ability to set and adjust your availability and get your booking info if by some chance a text or email gets deleted. One thing that is very important to me is how accessible they are. It is very easy to reach anyone in the office wether it be; phone, text or email and they are always friendly and pleasant. The amount of work a service can get you is based on their contacts and connections. Through Face2face I've been able to work with all of the major casting companies and a lot of smaller ones I've never heard of. As of recently they have gotten me the "holy grail" of this work... UNION commercials! I can go on and on, but you get what I'm saying. Great staff, easy accessibility and access/reach to a lot of work you might not be able to get in your own. read more

This service is one of the better boutique small ones, they do a lot of odd casting services work like low quality cd's that do low quality stuff that can be hard to get paid for though. If you are looking for low/no problems with getting paid I'd go with a service that works only with Central aka Joeys. Be aware that services this small simply don't have the amount of work you'd get with others that are bigger and older so don't expect more than a couple days per week normally. Their 10 day cancellation policy is pretty good as far as good faith, I'm not aware they offer partial refund per month if they don't get you any work so that's a minus for sure. I will say that they are one of the easiest services to work for, no on site "pictures" as central only uses their own pictures anyways and the others are of much less importance and they only need pictures you submit to them electronically. This doesn't waste a day of your time where you could be working. They have a nice online system that's very helpful if you are actively trying to get yourself work, none of the opaque nonsense of other booking services where you never know your current booked status until they decide to call/txt you. Payment is easily done via third party online that does not give them your credit card information, that's a huge plus when working with this kinda shady group of businesses. Most of these guys push hard on automatic billing so if there's a problem, from them usually, they can bill you without warning. I'd advise to NEVER give any "booking service" any financial information, just go with mailed checks or as these guys do it, you pay each month through third party systems so no shady unauthorized billing is possible. This service would be perfect if they had access to the same amount of work as ExtrasM(aka central casting) so apart from EM they're probably one of the best boutique services along with BAR(which don't bother with if you do other work and need to occasionally discontinue service and return they make you pay for all the missed time, ridiculous!). I'd avoid Booked Talent and Cut Above, one is only interested/capable in booking one kind of person(twinky anyone?) and the other is way overpriced when compared to the amount of work EM can get you for the same price. read more

I have been with face2face for the past 3 years & Everytime I called to speak with Eden & Mike .The Office told me you have to Email them.I been there client for the past 3 years & there Customer Service is not good.I called them today to see why they took me off service and told me that I can't talk to Eden & Mike.But I could send them Email. They never send me a invoice for the last month. When I called the office they told me that I'm off service for non payment.There is a other calling Services out there that you could go with. I Don't Recommend Face2face to Anybody.Also Remember they work for us we don't work for them.Because we are paying for there service.I Also had people in the office hang up the phone on me few times. They were very rude to me & Also they try to get you at least 2 jobs a month so they get paid The $70.00 a month & Everytime I called them to see if there are doing Submissions to the casting Director's. They said they are but I would not get a job.So If they are any issues with my Account they should call me or email me or text me & don't just take me off service without any Explanation.Like I said there are getting paid to provide a service for us so they basically work for us & we don't work for them.They have to know that we have other choices & they should take my call. read more

I've been with F2F since Jan 2016 and have nothing but great things to say about them. I mostly interact with Dianna and, since day one she's been a true star - always responsive, super patient, very professional, kind and understanding. It feels as if she and F2F are always working for me- booking me as much as I want to work. To me, in this industry, people can come across as being fake, impatient and rude. I've never once experienced anything negative with the F2F team and their online calendar is hassle-free and their booking process is seamless and progressive. I will give Face2Face 5 stars because they are nice and I like the online system they have. The one caveat is that they do not let you know if you're on hold for something....only if you're booked. They will put you on hold and if you happen to log in 100 times a day to check and see if you are on hold then I guess you would be okay. If you're like me, you're also submitting yourself for work through LA Casting and other channels. I happened to book myself something and immediately logged in to update my availability for that particular day and make myself unavailable only to find out I was on hold for something that I had not been on hold for a couple of hours prior. Had I known this, I wouldn't have accepted the booking. I ended up double booked and that's never fun to get out of. Bottom line is, we all need and want work - especially SAG members where there is less of it - so we often have to submit ourselves while using a service like f2f. Please, for the love of all that is holy, update your system to send out "on hold" days. It shouldn't be that difficult and it would be an appreciated heads up. read more

Face 2 Face Management bettered my life by increasing my bank account balance. Not only have they been professional but extremely friendly and at every opportunity went above and beyond. I am receiving so much more than my monthly fee, even during the "slow" periods I am being booked days ahead of time, I have worked with exceptional production companies and had a better experience than I ever thought imaginable. I never had a calling service when I was non union. I became union through Clint Eastwood on American Sniper and since I was getting less work I thought alright lets try one. I signed-up with Central Casting on a Monday, and signed-up with Face2Face, later that day. My first Background (BG) gig was on Wednesday night, only 2 days after joining! I was in a movie with Jamie Foxx and Eva Longoria (I think I spelled her name wrong)! It was incredible. For the next week, I went to several other filmings, and was in scenes with people who are at the top of their game in the biz. It was, and continues to be, a surreal experience. I am having a blast, and love the work. I have met people who have been doing this for 2, 4, and 10 years. Many of the people I met said that Face2Face has been wonderful to them, as well. I wish I had known about Central Casting and Face2Face, sooner, but everything in it's own time. Dianna is so kind, and helpful. Everyone I have dealt with there has been incredibly professional, and kind. Kindness is very important to me, and I so greatly appreciate it. Eventually, I would like to have larger roles, but this is a great first step to get into the business, and right in the middle of the action. In some scenes, you are even right in front of the camera, acting! I worked with Jamie Foxx, Eva Longoria, Louie Anderson, and Helen Hunt... all this week! Wow, so cool. I would highly recommend Face2Face to anyone getting involved in Background work. I have never been with another BG company, but if something is working, stick with it. Face2face was great when I first started, but the longer I've been with them, the less I like them. In their newsletter for this month they said work would pick up right after the 4th of July, it did not and has not really picked up yet and we are now almost into August and they have not addressed the fact that they gave us all false hope. The communication is lacking. This week I had to call and let them know I was unavailable on a day they had me on hold for. I never got any type of response nor was my hold taken off. I have all of the beaches marked off as exclusions for me, yet I just got booked to work in Pacific Palisades. ALSO, they continue to book people on shows that prove to be problematic. One night I worked on a show where there ended up being about 40 people double booked because the casting company hadn't informed Face2face that it was a night shoot. Face2face asked the production if they could send at least a few of those people home early and production said yes. THEN the production was telling everyone that if they went home now, they would not be paid at all despite having worked 6 hrs already. They fought until finally a different booking service called and pointed out that that is illegal. Less than a week later Face2face booked me on the exact same show via the same CD even though the production hadn't paid their extras the full, guaranteed rate. They are also bad about claiming work you booked yourself as your own, which is an issue since the amount you pay is based on how many times they book you. If you're looking for a short term booking service, go for it. But if you want a service you can build a relationship with, Face2face isn't it. read more

I've been with Face2Face for 6 months now and have absolutely no complaints. My main point of contact has been Eden from the beginning and she is extremely genuine and professional. Eden and Mike truly work for you as oppose to some calling services who make it seem like you work for them. The online availability calendar is the most convenient and easiest form of controlling your availability throughout the week/month and every time I have a question or concern about anything I email them and they always get back to me within minutes, no matter how late I contacted them. I have been with Face 2 Face for almost a year now. They have been an amazing calling service to me the entire time. When I first started I had very open availability so I worked very consistently, at least 4 times a week if not more. I moved here to pursue acting and as any actor knows one of the main hurdles is becoming SAG eligible. Well, through them I was cast enough where I was put in the position to receive the 3 vouchers necessary to become eligible. So, I am now a SAG member due to the fact that I had a calling service who booked me frequently enough that I was on set long enough to be put in that position. Mike and Eden are both wonderful people and they are hard workers. I would highly recommend them to anybody who is interested in background work!! Great job guys :) read more
