I kindly explained that I had a doctor's appoinement come up that I could not miss on a day I had neglected to mark "Unavailable" (my mistake, but ultimately I could not confirm my availabilty unless the shoot was later in the day, and they did not provide any information about the shoot.) Once I described my situation, I received numerous texts asking to confirm over the next couple days, despite already explaining myself and getting a response. After years of paying for their service and getting booked maybe once every six months, I had a recent text exchange with a rep that showed a shocking lack of industry knowledge and professionalism. They were dismissive, condescending, and even suggested I needed a 'buzz cut' despite me having no hair - clearly not paying attention to their own clients' profiles. When I escalated to the owner, Mike, he completely dismissed my concerns, defended his unprofessional employee, and essentially told me to leave if I didn't like it, even trying to blame my lack of bookings on 'industry-wide issues' while his company continues to collect fees. If you're looking for an agency that values its talent and provides actual support, Face2Face is not it. They'll happily take your money for years with minimal results and even worse customer service. read more

I am sad to have to write this review. After being with a different casting company for four months and averaging 5 days of work a month I decided to switch. I just became sag eligible three weeks ago and was really looking forward to face2face after talking with a few guys from f2f that are my same demographic. Unfortunately, I found communication on their end left a great deal to be desired. I called several times over the last three months and was never able to get a person on the phone during normal business hours. I left two messages and i guess they fell through the cracks, After repeatedly running into people with them and hearing good things, i decided to take the risk and give them a chance. The morning after I completed my profile, sent pictures in, called central with the update, and paid my membership dues, I phoned and actually got a real person on the phone by the name of Joe. He said he needed a high res. image for my profile and to call back after i did. I sent the photo and called back 10 minutes later, but no answer. I checked me email and he had replied saying that the image would work(as you can see in the screenshot attached). Joe informed me in our 1st and only phone conversation that once he had my profile picture, he would have my account up and running. I called Monday 2.3.20 to ask about changing my profile picture and again no answer. Prior to the phone call I had emailed a new profile image and no response whatsoever, Today 2.4.20 four business days after I spoke with Joe, I receive an email from Claudia saying I need to complete my profile, send picture, call Central etc(see screenshot below). I emailed her back saying I did all that four days ago. She then calls me and I explain it has been difficult to communicate with anyone at her company. She put me on hold with elevator music and we were disconnected. I sent a couple of emails expressing my frustration and all that I wanted was to be working as much as possible. She emailed me back saying that I am not a good fit for their company and they are issuing me a full refund which is fine. However, waiting 4 business days and essentially loosing a week of work is not good. I wished things would have worked out better. read more

No one writes the truth . Yes, perhaps this agency has connections, but it treats people like cattle. I tried to register with the agency for a couple of years! Moreover, I am a fairly successful artist-singer and I am SAG Union. For three months I was offered only one job, I just received an SMS, "can you work" and answered "yes" they didn't answer me at all, with a single SMS. After a couple of days on the day of shooting, they apparently texted me and asked me to take a test for coronavirus. I ask for a what? They say you're booked for work. But no one told me about it, no movie name, no date of shooting, no directions, time for coronavirus test nothing say- you confirmed! I work with Central casting and Extras management , CutAbove no one treat me-this way!! I replied that I don't have any confirmation and booking details !! do you know what I get in the back ? "you fired"!!! They not fire the person who didn't send me any booking details, no confirmation . But they just threw me in the garbage . Discrimination, they should be kicked out, not me but the person who didn't send me any information!! They say it's not our problem if you didn't get information... what?! What that means not our problems??? Yes it's exactly your problems because no one didn't give details and I'm not the first time work in the movie business . I don't recommend this agency it is worst experience, I spoke with manager by phone they just wanna throw me away. This is how they feel. They don't wanna listen detail see the screenshot, and found the person who is really fault of that situation. But not . It is worst discriminating agency in all LA!! Let me start by pointing out that I am a 37 year SAG veteran of this business, on both coasts, and have dealt with many different agencies. I know a lot about what is and isn't right in this business and how to hold out for service and be loyal and, at the same time, expect submissions. I was with F2F for 15 months and almost every month was booked just enough for the full fee or reduced fee, meaning I always had to pay them. For 5 of those 15 months I was not booked at all. When I complained, they condescendingly shot back at me that I misunderstood what they did and they merely submit me, not book me. Of course, I know that, having been in this business longer than anyone on staff at F2F. I also know that they were not submitting me. On multiple occasions I had to ask them to submit me (which defeats the whole purpose of what they do) then eventually submitted myself and got booked only to find out that they did not submit me at all. This happened a LOT and I stayed loyal to them, hoping for the best. My reward for that was to have them constantly remind me when payment was due ( I paid them early or on time except for the last 2 months when I was looking for another agency), treat me as if I was their underling and get me the minimum amount of submissions possible. When I was booked through their submissions, I was courteous and, as usual, excellent and early for all work. I ended up just booking myself all the time and when they called me about a payment, I asked if they were going to actually submit me for work since I knew they were not. I got this snotty response, remarkably horrific customer service and then an email from the owner, Mike (who I am sure will have some nonsensical response as he seems to have with all unfavorable reviews), who informed me they were doing what I was paying for and that he was removing me from service and, oh, the temerity to let me know that I would not be responsible for the "service I received for the month already". There was no service. No submissions. I checked with every booking I got. There are ways to do that and F2F seems to think that we are all too stupid to do the easy research. Again, just a flippant disregard to a loyal customer and audacity to not understand that they work for us/me, not the other way around. As a SAG member for over 30 years, I would say that they not providing a proper service nor do they have any sort of respect for the talent they are supposed to be representing/submitting, especially those who tried to give them the benefit of the doubt for over a year. So I did one gig for face2 face management and it went very well, but unfortunately I got sick the next day from being out in the cold weather. It would've been fine but when I called the next day to let Face2face know that I need a sick day because I got sick on set. I was speaking to a very rude lady named Aubrey, she said she was try to help me by explaining the policy for "no shows" but apparently there is no policy for getting sick on sit and not being able to make it to the next day. So I asked to speak to somebody else and she seem to get even more upset and she started calling me names like abrasive and rude. Of course I didn't call anything back cause I was just trying to get help and she wasn't helping me all she was doing was telling me that I will be terminated for getting sick, not telling them sooner and not being able to make it the next day just to be to set it an extra!! Then next thing you know I was put on hold and when I tried to call back 17 times there was no answer. Aubrey please understand that you were talking to working professionals and we do not need to be extras so stop acting like you're so important and focus more on actually helping people. I got an email back saying that they can't accept me at this time because their roster is full based on the category that I am in. Nightmare! I was booked on The Kominsky Method and given a call time from Face2Face for 2:30. Then Central calls me at 1pm and says the call time was Noon. There were at least six Face2Face clients caught in this mess...we all got there as soon as we could. Then, two weeks later we get SUSPENDED from Central for 30 DAYS- an entire month- and Eden at Face2Face will do NOTHING to make it right- she will NOT contact Central- and blames them for the confusion. Both Dianna and Eden have been very nice and helpful though the 6 weeks that i've been on the roster. They respond very quickly to emails and always with a smile! Being a young African American male, one of my fears were that I may not fit the "look" most of the time which would lead to me not getting booked much. I was definitely wrong. When I signed up I was on set 3 days later as well as many of the following days. Even when my bills were due and I wasn't able to pay the $70 fee, I simply contacted F2F and they put my account on hold until I was ready to make the payment. Ever since people start joining Face2face Jessica and Eden are starting to get soooo cocky now and ignoring their clients. They don't care about their clients and what they have to say. If you're sick they don't care, and if they tell you to join 45-90days DON'T BELIEVE THEM because they are liars! They will keep telling you that. I was with FACE2FACE before btw, I got them more clients and everything. They terminated me in June and now it's October and they still keep telling me to join within 45-90days. (for no reason and I was actually sick and told the production people and plus I was still new to this Call in service stuff and didn't know how things work) Finally I called Jessica and was like what's going on, why does Eden keep telling me 45-90days and I keep applying. Finally Jessica told me that EDEN left a note to never let me in because I missed 3 jobs. The first one I had a RESTRICTION on my account to not go to a certain area and guess what they didn't CARE. And the other two I was actually sick and guess what THEY DIDNT CARE. They obviously shouldn't be called FACE2FACE because Eden don't know how to BOSS UP and tell you directly that they don't want me to be in their call in service instead of blowing me off with the "45-90days junk" If they are also blowing you off with the 45-90days I highly recommend you to join either EXTRAS MANAGEMENT (about to join them soon). Or just stick with Central Casting or LA Casting honestly. And it's so sad because I recommend 5 people to join them lol hilarious. And the ONLY reason I wanted to join them is because of the price difference of face2face and extras management. Lastly, they weren't really booking me for jobs. I took a few years hiatus from the BG Acting industry and did other jobs here and there, but then returned this year to an even bigger, better, and brighter team of people! They provide top notch service to their clients, responding to any questions, comments, and concerns you may have about Background Work. After 4 years of doing other work, when I returned they were happy to see me back! Dianna, Mike, Eden, Stephanie, and the rest of the team do great work! I have been consistently working when I am in Los Angeles, and it has always been a pleasure to end up on either the same set regularly, or new Feature Films, Commercials, Fittings, Interviews, and so on. The convenience of the online calendar, signing up online easily, paying online, only paying for one month upfront (and no first and last like many others) cancelling online (if taking a break for summer, etc) - it makes life way easier! I was supposed to have a gig 9/27/2022. I woke up early to go to work. My gig was 10am. I arrived at lot 6 like I was suppose to and after that didn't know where to go. I wasn't given any other directions in my email. I waited for an hour before I started to leave. In that hour I was contacting prime casting, the people who booked me, and face2face management, the people who I signed up with. A person who claimed to be Heather said a shuttle would arrive and one never did. During this conversation, she was on the phone laughing as well, like something was funny. Ridiculous. I'm starting to walk away and I'm letting face2face reps know. Then I'm told I will be terminated because I didn't go to work. THATS what peed me off. So I turned right tf around amd stared recording. I recorded the lot, where no one was, went to the school office and they pointed me to another building, went to that building and finally received help, which was me being directed to the right building. I got all this on film and this now was about 11:30 like.....I'm okay with the termination, but don't ever make it seem like I didn't show up for work. Then I ended up finding the area and I'm so confused on why it wasn't explained this way. This location could of easily been explained in 5 seconds. It's like it was done to me on purpose because why wouldn't you just easily explain where the set was. So I spoke with the people on set. They claimed they did t know who a Heather was and no shuttle was EVER on its way. Right! Like I thought. More words were exchanged because​ I was beyond aggravated. I have been with face2face for about 2 months now and I could not be happier with their service. After signing up with Central Casting I thought I could self submit for everything, but that soon became very time consuming and when I was booked I was unable to book more work because I was on set and I would miss out on a lot of opportunities. After talking to fellow actors on set a lot of them were very happy with face2face so I decided to try it out. And it is probably the best thing I could have done since moving to LA in regards to booking background work. I have been working non stop since signing with them.. and I had to take days off just to catch my breath! Totally worth it if you want to work Here are the main reasons I love face2face: Sign up process is all done online and is very easy (not all call-in services offer this) They have an online calendar that makes it very easy to take off or see when I am booked or on hold. (not all call-in services offer this, and they have to call in every time they want to take off) They text me my booking information They respond within seconds every time I have a question They are affordable compared to other services They give discount when I refer a friend I normally do not like to over hype things but in this case it is worth it, if you are looking for a good booking service, look no further. They've put me on more projects than I can count. I know some people get booked a lot with one service and not booked enough with another... different calling services provide different experiences for different people and what's great for one person might be horrible for another person. Face 2 face might be great for some.... but what really pestered me was that they didn't book me once in the entire 3 months I was with them. They didn't offer to refund my services and instead offered a reduced rate, and I stupidly accepted that rate because I wanted to earn my money back.... at the same time, I was booking myself through central and I was calling mike and eden with tips and leads in hopes they'd get the clue and book me on shows that I've never had trouble getting booked on before. I called them with a lead once and they didn't know who the casting director was so they refused to help out... Really wish I could get my money back. But I guess they demand you pay for their services regardless of whether they provide them or not. I'm entirely to blame because I never asked to meet them. My previous calling services were getting me booked, but an acquaintance had recommended that I join face 2 face because she said she gets books everyday so I'm sure it's great for some people.... unless my friend was boasting.... which could be the case. 1. Really wish they were more "face 2 face" --- meetings, texts or tweets about their day in the office-- they don't meet with you before you join, they don't send updates or ask about your availability, they aren't personal and if you don't contact them, you don't hear from them for days. The only time they contact you is to send you a invoice to pay for their services. 2. They don't take an interest in booking you. Doesn't seem like they're trying very hard. There are plenty of honest reputable calling services out there, cut above, booked, extras... join them before you join face to face. I thought a smaller company would mean more attention... it just means that half the casting directors have no clue who they are when you name drop them. i absolutely LOVE this company. i loved them since day one, but i wanted to wait to see how the month went with them before writing this review. and guess what? my opinion has only grown since! when i first was accepted by them,(end of may/first of june) i was told that this month was typically a slow one and that it picks back up mid july. i was appreciative of that info and didn't expect much. but i got booked june 1st and have worked 18 days out of the month! (which for a "slow" month i was extremely pleased) i have been working with lynn since day one and she has been nothing but wonderful. she always helps me out with any questions or concerns i might have and does it with a great attitude! they've even called or texted me for certain projects that require a swim suit or other specific "edgy" things to make sure that i was okay with it before booking me. i always have appreciated that about them. you will get a text and an email about the project you booked and all you have to do is confirm! simple as that! you have a payment due of $70 each month. and to be honest, that's a STEAL for the amount of money i've made thru work and for the costumer service i've been receiving. i've heard that some calling services take 10% of each paycheck and i can only imagine how much that must add up. $70 for the amount of work you get is THE BEST deal for the quality of this service. (to put it in perspective, if you're non union you're making 84/8. even if you don't go into overtime that ONE job paid off the monthly fee with some left over.) the online calendar is by far the best feature. i love being able to check and see which projects i worked for my accounting info and it is easy to keep track of them all to keep everything organized. but you have to be on top of booking yourself out if you're busy one day. it's as simple as that. they let you know when you're on hold for a project and it's super easy to check back and see so you can plan ahead. everything is right there at your fingertips and is so helpful. you're also allowed to text them if you see something on central casting that you want to be submitted for and they're more than happy to do so. and they get you so many more projects that aren't always seen thru central, la casting, etc. you also can say if there are certain areas that you don't want to work in in LA or if you don't want to do cattle calls, night call, audience work, etc. it's a very personalized experience and they respect the wishes you give them! being new to background work, i always ask people on set who they're represented by just to gain more information and see what others think. i've only heard positive feedback for anyone who's with face2face. seriously, ask around on set and see for yourself! they're highly popular and you will hear only good things about them. so i know that i'm not alone. they even booked me on a featured extra roll that got me a union voucher! i don't know if that was luck or if they submitted me for that project, but hey, i'm one happy camper!!! i even emailed lynn and told her i loved doing that job and if they can submit me for more things to get me my union status. she was so kind and said that she'd do her best. so i'll let you know if that happens and i get more of those jobs! all in all, you can't go wrong with this service. they're the best you're going to find. period. i'm excited to see how much ill be getting booked for the "busy" months to come. if anything changes i'll be sure to update this review, but so far i'm extremely happy with this service and can't wait to see where else this takes me! read more

I agree with Renee... I paid them $65.00 for the month and they did not get me booked on ONE job for the month. Having worked 2-3 times a week with three previous calling service, I find this hard to accept. When I called Mike to ask him to refund my money, he told me that he would not, and that I could refer to their "contract". I understand their contract: I was giving him a chance to be a decent "business" man. He told me quite flatly that his company "has a good reputation." Do not waste your money. The owners Mike and Eden (yes, it is most likely a service run out of their home) are very nice until the moment they have your money. Then they respond to you as if they never knew you. I wonder how they think that they can give an actor a good chance of being booked on a show when they have never met you in person/seen your face. Ironic that the service is called "FACE2FACE". I tried out face2face for the month of November and in that month, face2face booked me four times, two of those four bookings were jobs that I texted them, requesting that they submit me. So really they only booked me two times on their own initiative. In the same time period, I booked myself four times with Central Casting just by calling in to available projects, so I know that their was work available that they just weren't submitting me for. I spoke to other background actors, and a clear divide seemed to come up. African American women seem to be booked less through face2face than our Caucasian counterparts. Maybe there is less work available for background actors in that category, but I was able to book parts on my own twice as much as they were, so I think they may have too many people to represent in that category. I was planning on staying with them in December, just to give them another month, when one encounter with Mike totally soured my experience with them. I was booked on a project that I was uncomfortable performing. I called to let them know and said that I would let the casting director know as well. Mike proceeded to attempt to bully me into taking the project, claiming that I may be blacklisted from the casting service if a refuse to work. The call got heated and he claimed he was just cautioning me, but his tone was clear, he was annoyed and trying to scare me into accepting work that I was uncomfortable performing. I just want to add that my experience with staff members at face2face up until that point had only been pleasant and personable. The staff's demeanor is the reason why I wanted to give them another month despite the fact they had charged me $65 and only booked me twice in one month. But, that encounter with Mike just made it clear that I was not a priority or an asset to their company. In fact, when I called back to cancel the service, Mike said "good, I'm happy" and hung up before I could thank them for the work this past month. Not cool or professional. read more
