I was previously a client at a different medical spa and had mixed results with my Juvederm lip injections, so I decided to try Wayzata Plastic Surgery since Kristie has a lot more experience with fillers. WOW I made the right choice! She leaves the numbing cream on for about 20 minutes and because of this I didn't feel a thing! The first poke I couldn't even tell if she'd started yet! Huge difference from the last place I went to where they only left it on for a minute or two... Ouch! But the real surprise was her technique; the woman gets it! I don't have lumps and bumps like I used to, and she didn't place it too close to the surface of my lip, so I didn't have any discoloration this time. She is so careful and has a great eye for detail, for example she noticed one side of my lip was slightly more round than the other so she added another tiny drop to even them out. The results are flawless; plump but subtle and not fake looking, which is exactly what I asked for. I'm officially a loyal client!

When my appt was "over" I asked why she didn't cut my hair and she told me she did it before the highlights. I told her I wanted it cut on top and she literally picked up a clump of hair on the top of my head and snipped it off. I went to the desk to pay and a women walked in and the so called hairstylst was so happy to see her. She was a regular. I felt awful after such rude behavior.

I loved that the website told me everything I needed to know about their philosophy on hair and skin care, and allowed me to schedule an appointment without having to call. (Makes it easy!) The space itself is located right in downtown Wayzata and there is plenty of street parking or two garages (all free). It's a high ceilinged space with an organic feel-natural wood, plants, and a smell that's fantastic (it comes from the products they use!). Our first appointments were fantastic, we both got color and cuts. I also had my eyebrows threaded (so much better than waxing!). We were incredibly pleased with the results and the service was amazing. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. I returned recently for a second visit and again couldn't be more pleased. I had a cut and color, eyebrow threading and a 20 minute (for $20!) facial that is offered as an intro to clients who are getting other services by the amazing Taylor. She talked me through everything and was incredibly hands on with my skin explaining that she could customize the facial in a literally 100s of ways. This is no 'buy these products' facial-everything is customized for you and your skin. Likewise Kassandra was very hands on in choosing my cut and color and customized my hair color to be perfect for the fall and winter (we went darker than my last color). I have never had a cut and color as amazing as I have at Beauty Ecology, and I love their organic approach. I also picked up a number of hair care products that have been simply fantastic for my hair. The products are formulated by Kassandra and she took extra care to adjust one of my products to suit my needs right in the shop. Prices are not cheap, but you get what you pay for! The service, care, and philosophy at Beauty Ecology is worth every penny.

The experience was so much fun, so relaxing, and I loved that the bed/chair? Was heated! The extraction part was a bit painful but I think it's cause I've never had such a deep clean facial, super excited to come back again in 6 weeks again see the results in a few days!

I had a Halo Laser Treatment in early December 2025…read more Let me first say that everyone at the location were great. It is the treatment and recovery that were very disappointing and painful. I was warned of the post treatment burning sensation and of the possibility of inflammation. Those both happened to a degree which I don't feel I was warned about. On day 6, I developed what I thought was a rash/infection by my mouth. I contacted my doctor since it was a Sunday, and was advised to be seen in person. Turned out that I had gotten shingles (I have been vaccinated)! I was prescribed an Antiviral as well as some ointment. I had also sent an email to Belladerm. They did contact me on Monday and offered to call in a prescription for an Antiviral. I feel like some sort of partial refund for the issue would have been an appropriate gesture. I will say that my skin tone from the treatment is a little better, but not TWO THOUSAND dollars better (plus the cost of the doctors visit and prescriptions). It was not money well spent. I did learn my lesson.
