I said hello, said my name, and she DIDNT say hi my name is, and I'll be doing your lashes today. We just need you to fill out this sheet beforehand. No, She was ice cold, "hi, once that girls done with the computer you'll need to fill out a form." I tried to be overly nice so maybe she would become nicer. That didn't work. She wasn't mean or anything, just not warm and friendly, As you would expect in an atmosphere like this. You come to these places to feel a bit pampered. It's uncomfortable to have someone in your space for an hour if you haven't developed some sort of friendliness...... The whole time I was filling out the form I was hoping she wasn't the one doing my lashes. Unfortunately she was. She showed me to the bed, asked me to lay down. Asked me if I'd had my lashes done before, I responded, I have. I told her how I would like them. She said okay, then the only time she said a word was when I asked a question. I felt like she should say okay, putting this on now. But maybe you guys like more of a quiet atmosphere, which if fair. It's nice though to hear what's going on your face. Again she wasn't mean, she just wasn't friendly, inviting, warm. Overall experience was that it just didn't have the feel I like when getting my lashes done. I want warm, relaxing, professional, luxury. I want to feel happy, invited. At one point I was thinking, did I maybe upset her. It was just uncomfortable. The whole time with my eyes closed I was thinking I don't like this. There were moments she was hurting me, it happens, it's ok, you know a little lash pull here and there the norm, but she didn't say a word when I would wince. Not, oh sorry, oh are you okay? Silence. Dead silent. Then at the end I guess some glue was on my eyelid and she was trying to pick it off, I couldn't tell at the moment, as I'm laying there with my eyes shut. It hurt as she was trying to get it off, I winced, she said Nothing, she gave up, had me sit up, wipe my own eyes with a cloth, which I found weird. Then said oh there's glue on your lid, it will come off later. I said ok. (I've never experience that at a spa before) It's not a small amount of money for a tint and lift. (Even though she sent me a reminder the night before) -Lash studio is dark, was freezing cold and filled with random junk. -Had THREE interruptions during my appointment (two from kids and one from someone at the door) -Called me a "negative client" via text and she doesn't tolerate that and wouldn't be giving me a refund under any circumstances. Came in for the spray tan that is currently the top recommended product as far as spray tans go!…read moreThis was my first spray tan so I wasn't sure what to expect and I actually felt awkward knowing someone was going to spray me down from head to toe in the buff (most people go nude). The spray tech was great. She was super knowledgeable and very welcoming. It had a nice aroma of raspberry and almond, which I have heard that most spray tans aren't so kind on the senses. The spray tan basically works with your own PH level in you skin and darkens based on that. I opted for the PH balancing spray as well which is an additional $5 to the $35 spray tan. The PH balancing spray is supposed to benefit those with dry skin mostly to help the tan set in a little better. I generally have drier skin so I figured I would try this out. You get sprayed head to toe then dry for two minutes, then you are sprayed with a second coat and you are left to dry for five minutes then you're good to go. You can't get wet or go in the rain and have to be wary of your seatbelt rubbing on your neck post spray for 12 hours so its recommended to do this in the evening so that you have minimal disruptions to the spray tan. By the next morning I was a nice golden colour and I loved it! The colour was a nice even bronze that looked natural as if I had been blessed by the sun all summer long. I was very happy with the spray tan that I will likely return again! Located conveniently on 200th street in the plaza with the Tim Horton's and the Wendy's, across from Gold's gym. Definitely a great tan. It seems to be fading like a natural tan. No blotches or weird spots. It s the best I could ask for for a first time spray tanner. ;D
