We first spoke to Katie for an initial call and she was really knowledgable and friendly that I was sad to hear we would be working with another coordinator, but Emily happily jumped on a call to ease any worries I may have had. We went with the Month of Coordination service which allowed us to do most of the planning ourselves (most of our vendors were locked in early on, but MB provides a lovely list of vendors they've worked with in case it's needed). Emily had us fill out a very detailed questionnaire (you can tell they know what they're doing with the questions being asked) and went over every detail with us, including areas we were still figuring out. She was available for any questions I had as well leading up to the day, made sure to reach out to all of our vendors with the master timeline, and even provided some guidance for my cousin that was officiating for the first time. A big bonus is how many weddings they've coordinated at Walnut Grove that they're very familiar with the venue and the folks from Command Performance Catering. Emily led us through rehearsal the day before and made sure the actual wedding day went smoothly. She made it possible for us to focus on enjoying the day with our friends and family, but still keep on schedule with her gentle reminders.

We held our wedding at Walnut Grove and it was clear that Emily knew what she was doing, especially at that venue! I am definitely a more anxious bride and had many questions, emails, texts. Emily responded to each one with so much grace and expertise. Wedding planning can be isolating at times because there is so much to do - but I really felt like I had a partner in Emily. She was so responsive and enthusiastic! Her excitement and calm attitude carried me in moments I wanted to give up wedding planning altogether. On our wedding rehearsal - our bridal parties all remarked at how pleasant yet professional Emily was. She really made sure everyone knew what they were doing. Which was especially difficult because we had a bridal party of about 20+ people! On the day of the wedding, we had very strong winds (at an all outdoor venue) and I was blissfully unaware of the chaos occuring. But Emily and her assistant Katie handled the situation so well. Whenever Emily checked in with me regarding things that were not going to plan, she had so much confidence and peace that it was easy for me to make quick decisions. I can really say I was present throughout the wedding, and focused on getting married! Everything else, Emily handled so beautifully. I am forever grateful to Emily and Mia Bella Weddings and you will not regret having them on your vendor team!

I told her what my budget was, what I was hoping to achieve in terms of décor and general feel for the shower. Jill's proposal included planning, invitations, site signage and decor, dessert table, party favors and on-site coordination the day of the event. Jill incorporated face-to-face meetings, Skype, email and Pinterest boards during the planning stage. She made recommendations that really fit into the idea I had in my head. For example, I HATE getting useless favors from weddings and showers. So instead of spending money on something that the guests would just throw away, Jill created individual mini potted basil plants as the favors. Each mini pot also had a little thank you note for attending the shower. Brilliant. When I entered the venue for the event, I knew she nailed it. Everything was exactly as we discussed or exceeded my expectations. All the guests thought the shower was gorgeous and I received many compliments for all "my" hard work. Working with JES took all the stress out of planning this very important event. I will definitely be using Jill and the JES team for my next event.

We were referred to Peace & Pine Events through a word-of-mouth referral. The first time we met…read morewith Cassidy was via a Zoom "interview". This meeting was a preview of the incredible work that she and her team did for us and made our wedding the event we had been dreaming of. Her presentation was fantastic - she laid out all of her service offerings in a concise and polished presentation. Cassidy impressed us right off the bat, it was an easy decision to hire Peace & Pine. Once we officially engaged Peace & Pine, Cassidy shared a digital package of resources including a budget tracker, checklists with suggested timelines, and folders where we could collaborate and plan the whole wedding efficiently. We hired Peace & Pine very early on in our planning stages, so we did not officially begin working together for the better part of a year, but Cassidy would check in with us monthly to see how things were going - this was very appreciated! Once our contractual engagement began, Cassidy became our right hand person and a trusted advisor. Cassidy was incredibly generous with her time. We had conference calls and face-to-face meetings with our venue and she joined in for all of it. Her presence was the ultimate stress antidote - she took copious notes on everything and was engaged every step of the way. You could tell through the whole process that she was going to have everything under control. Once the wedding weekend arrived, Cassidy took control in the best way possible. Her timelines were thorough and detailed and she became the point person for every aspect of the events. She ran our rehearsal the day before the wedding like clockwork. The wedding day was SO smooth, all because of her direction. When we arrived at the venue, everything was running on time and there were no issues at all...and if there were then Cassidy did a great job of handling them without us knowing! Throughout the evening, Cassidy remained by our side or at least always within sight. It was so reassuring to have her there helping us stay on schedule. Cassidy had a way of checking in with us and giving us timeline updates throughout the evening, but in a totally non-intrusive way. Above all, Cassidy is patient beyond belief. She was always calm, cool and collected and ready to address our litany of questions or hear our thoughts. We cannot overstate how good she and her team are at their jobs. When we think back on our wedding weekend, Cassidy and her team are at the forefront of what made it a magical weekend for us. We are so grateful to Cassidy for the hard work and dedication she showed, and we would recommend her and her team to any couple looking for a top notch wedding coordinator. Cassidy is a first rate wedding coordinator, and an even better person.

Cassidy from Peace & Pine Events is incredible. She will go above and beyond to help you envision…read moreyour dream wedding and/or elopement. If you have an inkling of anxiety that you might need someone to help you on your big day, HIRE HER! I decided that I needed a wedding coordinator a few months before my wedding because I couldn't bear the thought of (1) not being in control and (2) getting mad at my soon-to-be-husband for trying to coordinate when he has never once planned an event in his life. Cassidy is organized, helpful, and low-key (in the best way). She worked with my budget (very reasonable!), and once we determined my needs and wants, she shared a Google Drive folder like I couldn't believe. It included a budgeting spreadsheet, a to-do list based on the time left before your big day (she customizes this for YOU), and my favorite: a document with all vendor information as well as the schedule of events (it includes so much more, but I don't want to give it all away lol). Aside from the amazing Google Drive goodies, I was thankful for Cassidy's frequent reminders to not procrastinate -- I am terrible when it comes to planning things in my personal life, and she lovingly (and professionally) did not let me do this...and believe me, I tried. It's also helpful to note that Cassidy was there for my husband and me for two events: our secret elopement and our big wedding event. As someone who also got married in the pandemic, Cassidy was able to empathize and talk me through some of the harder parts of these events and even gave helpful tips/solutions when dealing with challenging moments. ELOPEMENT HIGHLIGHTS: - She got ordained so that she could officiate our elopement! - She gave us an excellent recommendation for where to obtain our marriage license (no wait at all!) - She camped out at our elopement site and was ready to "fight" another couple who tried to steal it from us (she's a great negotiator lol) - My husband and I didn't care to decorate for the elopement, but she brought candles and decorative crates anyway WEDDING DAY HIGHLIGHTS: - She organized and guided our wedding rehearsal which is helpful for anyone who has never been in a wedding before (including the bride and groom); my bridesmaids who have been in 3+ weddings said she was the most professional and experienced coordinator they had seen - She arrived early to the venue with her team, brought me Philz Coffee (seriously, Cassidy's the best), and worked quickly to set up everything - She checked in with me, the maid of honor, and best woman a few times throughout the morning/early afternoon to ensure we were on schedule - Throughout the evening (reception), she would check in with the groom and me to remind us of the small activities (cake cutting, tossing bouquet, speeches, etc.) and see what we wanted to do (or skip). She did this in the most non-intrusive way ever, and it was great. - Cassidy and her team worked with all my vendors behind the scenes and the day went as smoothly as it could because of her. - She also packed up all of our decor and put it away for us in the hotel MOST MEMORABLE HIGHLIGHT: This is hard for me to write about, but of all the things I was thankful for, Cassidy provided a questionnaire that asked about any challenging family dynamics that she (and possibly other vendors) might need to be aware of. While I wasn't too worried about family drama, I let her know about some tensions that made me uneasy, and she stored that knowledge away. Day of my wedding: my dad and brother were almost 30 minutes late. My bridal party and I were running late as it was, but as we lined up for the processional, she told me as gently as possible (after calling them a few times and checking in with my dad's brother)...but I still broke down. They showed up shortly after and Cassidy showed them to their seats, but she calmed me down. She gave me all the tissue in the world (and I think some for my maid of honor to hold on to), told my groom and I that we could take as much time as we needed before the ceremony, and reminded us that it was our event. Our day. She asked if we wanted to walk down the aisle together (instead of me by myself). We both loved that idea, and now when I look back, I wouldn't change it for anything. Cassidy, if and when you read this, I hope you know that I will never forget your professionalism and, more importantly, your kindness and empathy. You need to hire Peace & Pine. With them, it's about celebrating you. It isn't just planning an event. Go with them!
