We gave them a vague vision and minimal details. They didn't needle us for more. They just got to work and delivered results that left us speechless. But what I'll remember most happened right before the ceremony. We realized we'd forgotten a dress and puja material at home. Completely outside their scope. Neeru didn't hesitate. She called her son, who wasn't even at the event, and had everything in our hands before the ceremony started. You don't forget something like that. Even though I needed her just for day off-- she inserted herself into my event plans in advance of the day. She went with me to finalize decor, and took all the vendors contact info from me so she could reach out directly and introduce herself to them as their main point of contact on that day. She kept in constant contact with me in advance -- and then, on the day off - she mostly left me alone to enjoy myself with friends and family and be immersed this special day for our family. She even went so far as to bring some décor from home as a backup and we ended up needing it. She didn't charge me anything extra for that. What I appreciated most was how she basically looked and behaved like a family member and not a hired event planner. She was personally vested in the success of the event. She was responsible for releasing the tables a few at a time for dinner so as to avoid long buffet lines and consistently I heard from my guests after the fact that they thought she was part of my family. She was the last person to leave that night after she saw to everyone's departure and ensured that the venue was the way we found it -- clean. She'd take multiple calls to walk through logistics, prepped me for scenarios I hadn't thought of, and took the lead on coordinating with all my vendors. She'd check in just to make sure I was doing well multiple times too. Her experience with the Southern California area really shown through because she had insight to which vendors would meet my needs and which of my ideas would thrive. Organization: Insane. Not a single thing went wrong during my wedding. The vendors only had 2 hours to move everything in and one hour to remove everything and it went seamlessly. I mean we had 230+ guests and no one had to wait for the buffet line for more than 20 min! Everyone who was a part of the wedding knew exactly where they needed to be and we stayed on schedule. Look. I know there are so many wedding planners out there. But Danielle is a USC business school boss and takes this job so seriously. She met with the bride and me, made suggestions and was hired that day! Background: We hosted 10 guests, for a total of 14 people, in a backyard ceremony and dinner, with a reception for another two dozen people on our front lawn in between the two. Social distancing was maintained and there were three parts to our daughter's special day. Danielle not only shared her vast wedding experience, but stepped into the catering role by assembling, plating, and serving food prepared by the catering company. What I thought would be good food served at room temperature (with me spending much of my time in my kitchen), became a four course meal, with the entree served hot! Throughout the afternoon/evening, Danielle asked my daughter if there was anything she needed, and made her feel like the bride she was!!! Getting my husband to take a shower, and keep everyone on time, made her worth her weight in gold!!! Do NOT think you can't host a very special wedding in your backyard, but by hiring Steadfast Events, YOU will also enjoy a wonderful day.
