I used to love this place but I believe they lost their best lash tech. I've tried going here more recently after being an avid customer for years for classic lashes. I sadly leave with the fake-looking, dramatic volume lashes with clusters. The latest "try", the lash tech was very hasty, my eyes burned and were poked throughout the session, and she simply said, "Done" afterward without a mirror or asking me if I liked my lashes. This is the polar opposite of the amazing experience I used to receive from the lash tech who quit. I may try to give it one last try given the location's proximity to my house but there are a lot of other lash places in South End, so I may need to cut my losses. I can't keep asking for a classic look and leave looking like a hot Cheeto girl with spider lashes. Nobody is going to take me seriously at work. I can't even take myself seriously in the mirror. They should take classic sets off their menu if they don't do them (properly). read more

So here's the thing: I feel like the lash artists are (for the most part) really good at what they do. There's only been one time that I've been that I requested my lashes be re-done. The problem is with the customer service and professionalism. If I, as somebody who is providing a service, were to not be forthcoming about a price for something, I would not expect my customer to know what I'm thinking or what I "meant" to charge. I have never been on the Fabulash Charlotte website. My first appt was something that I booked over the phone and from that moment on, I booked for the future in person after every appointment. There were issues about my bookings being incorrectly added to the schedule or being double-booked with another client. There was even a time when my appointment got booked with a lash artist I did not request AND it was for the wrong type of lashes. The appointment in question, which was another incorrectly booked appointment, was when I was informed for the first time that after four weeks, any appointment would have to be for a full set of lashes. I have no problem paying for a full set if that's what I am told before I get my lashes done. The salon had ample time to tell me that instead of the $85 I was prepared and very willing to pay, my service would be $275. There was no signage in the store indicating this policy and I had not ever been told that over the last few months that I've been a client. At the front desk, Laura said that the policy was on the website that I've never been to (I have since been on the website and the policy is still not there). Finally, I spoke with the owner, Mike Williams, and after unsuccessfully trying to get me to pay a price between the $85 that I was prepared to pay and the $275 that they thought I should pay, I was told that I would not be allowed to book any more appointments -- I've been banned. It's really a shame, because I think the lash artists are nice. I, however, will not stand for shoddy business practices. Either post your policies clearly or take the loss. EDIT: The owner is now attempting to bring legal action against me for their own mistake. I have already mentioned that I have no issues with the lash techs. I said it before and I'll say it again: I don't blame my clients for my mistakes. I would expect a business, especially one that wants to be known as reputable, would take responsibility for their wins and their losses. EDIT 2: At this point, I'm wondering why anybody would want to patronise this business. Kim and Mike didn't get the review they wanted and now, they are upset that I wrote about it. They are threatening me with legal action "because [I] wrote a one-star review", which is the very definition of extortion. Stay away from this place!!!!! EDIT: my lashes fell out like 3-4 days after my last appt. I do everything I'm supposed to: I wait three days before getting them wet, I dry and brush them out when they're wet, and I don't sleep on my face. I scheduled my appointment and had Kim! When I went to leave for my appointment, my car was booted. I was a few minutes late and when I got there and got started Kim gave me a discount on a full set of lashes! She charged me $80 just because I had a rough morning! They are incredible looking and Kim is insanely nice! I will continue to go here and continue to refer people here! She made a bad day great and made my lashes amazing. Sadly, I visited Fabulash on the 22nd of May 2018 and was extremely disappointed by the drama caused by one of the Techs. Her behavior was grossly unprofessional, reprehensible and quite unbelievable. After emailing a complaint and issuing a phone call, nothing was done and no apology was given . I do not recommend this establishment at all. Because your privacy may not be respected. Their Tech took bits of information and went outside of the salon and invaded my personal life. She had no business disclosing my private ( lash) services and personal info to an individual within my professional community. Again with great sadness; Yesterday July 10th, I received a call from the Owner's husband who stated that he was the business manager and HR. He handled the situation ridiculously, immaturely and unprofessionally. He yelled, ranted and raved at my decision to submit a negative review. At minimum, he should have at least offered to issue a written apology. He displayed no empathy or sympathy. My decision was strictly a matter of principle and to perhaps avoid this from happening to any other client or potential victim. When a client enters your establishment and pays for a service, they should be treated with the utmost respect, care and confidentiality. It matters not how great your craft is if your character is marred. My advice; Handle patrons gently, thoroughly train your staff and know that the customer is always right! read more

I had my lashes done twice here and was always so relaxed I fell asleep and woke up when they were finished. very satisfie.

I had heard such great things about this place but was super disappointed with the customer service. I reached out to them via email and the phone. It's next to impossible to get ahold of someone there, and when you go to leave a voicemail you're instructed to text the phone number your message instead. When I received a reply back to my email, I was told that they would charge me a $20 fee to look at my lashes just to see if they could fill them in. When I asked why such a high charge when it's been free any other time, I never received a reply back. It's now been four days since my calls and emails, and I still haven't heard anything. I've had my lashes for 3 weeks now and I'm happy with how they look. I had Amira and she was really patient with me -- my eyes were watering a lot at first and she made sure I was comfortable. Went in for my first ever lash extension and it's safe to say I won't be getting one again for a while. I showed the tech pictures in hopes that she could achieve the style I was going for for: subtle, fluttery, and most importantly -NOT overly dramatic. What did I get? The exact opposite. I have visited Fabulash 3 times now for a lash fill, each time receiving worse and worse service. The first visit was disappointing. The lashes weren't the style I asked for, but I thought it was my first visit and sometimes you don't get it right the first go around. The second visit was even worse. I ended up returning to the salon the day after my visit to have lashes removed that were sticking my eye. The tech was extremely nice and helpful, so I thought I would give it one last shot. The third visit was the most disappointing of all. I was clear with what I wanted and still the tech ignored my requests. On top of that, I had to go elsewhere within 5 days to get ANOTHER fill in because the lashes were falling out in clumps- much more than normal shedding. I had a full set of lash extensions done by Kim. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was outstanding. The room was very comforting- soothing music was playing, and the table had a neck pillow and a pillow for under your knees. Kim applied oil to the pillow to relax me, and even offered me a blanket. The whole process took 1 1/2 hours, and did not hurt at all. Kim made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and let me take a break midway through. I am so happy with my results! I really wanted to like Fabulash. I read the reviews and saw how happy people were with the finished product but I am not sure I will EVER come here for any Lash work. I want to warn EVERYONE to not trust the hours they have posted on their website. I had an appointment on Saturday 2 weeks ago and realized Friday that I had a conflicting event and could not make my appointment. I read on their site that if you do not cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled appointment time then you would be charged 50% of your appointment amount; in my case $100. This is why I was so stressed about cancelling my appointment. I started calling them at 6:41pm on Friday; their hours say they are open until 9pm. I called multiple times (well over 10 times) within a 2 hour timeframe and e-mailed their store e-mail. Finally at around 8:30pm I decided to drive to their location; they are 7 minutes down the road so it wasn't too far. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe they were just slammed and not able to answer the phone. When I got to the location, all their lights were out and the door was locked. I tried to knock, just in case, but nothing. I finally received an e-mail from someone at Fabulash that night stating they cancelled my appointment free of charge but for future appointments the cancellation policy is 24 hours and wanted to know where I saw 12 hours. I sent him an e-mail back with a screenshot from their website where you click "cancellation policy" and it says 12 hours. I also received an automated email confirming my appointment was cancelled and on that email it also said 12 hours. I received an email the next day from the Director of Operations who told me "our last appointment ended at 6:15pm yesterday which is why you didn't get a response through email as well as when calling. You cancelled your appointment early enough that you will not be charged a fee". So it seems there is a disconnect here because the director of operations is telling me I cancelled well in advance but someone else is telling me it is 24 hours? Also, the email from the director of operations clearly stated that their last appointment on Friday ended at 6:15pm, but that doesn't explain why no one was there until 9pm....So because you didn't have appointments until 9pm, you just leave and close your establishment almost 3 hours early? So if I don't have any meetings after 11am but I am supposed to work until 5pm, I can leave and go home right? I tried to find a way to cancel on their site or from e-mail reminders but couldn't find anything. I should've never had to stress this hard to cancel an appointment. read more

I've been going to Fabulash for over 5 years. I started off with Kim the owner but have now tried all the lash artists at Fabulash and love them all. I now live in Florida but still visit Charlotte once a month to see friends and family and get my lashes done. Fabulash is a hidden gem and is worth the drive. read more

I am always pleased with Kim's customized approach to lash extensions. I have very curly lashes that are difficult to apply mascara or extensions. Kim worked diligently to figure out why lash type and approach to extend my lashes and still look natural. read more
