If you're just going in for eyebrow waxing or eyebrow threading, you don't even need an appointment. You just walk in, type your name and phone number into the little iPad kiosk, and wait to be called. They are SO quick. I'm talking maybe five minutes per person quick. I've been there several times now, and every single lady I've had has done a great job. It's not just one person in particular. They all seem skilled, friendly, and efficient. It's located in Dilworth in the shopping center with the Harris Teeter. I really like that area because there's plenty of parking and a bunch of other little shops around there too. Super easy to get to. Overall, great service every time I've gone. Definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.

My only wish is that there had been music playing in the private lash room. I think any kind of white noise would've been a nice distraction. Overall, I had a great experience and look forward to going back!

I live 30 mins from her work place and still go just for eyebrow waxing because she is the best (and yes, I tried other providers for comparison). She will talk if you want or silently focus on your brows. I appreciate this because there are some days I just want to come in and relax without chit chat. She has a policy of not accepting clients past 7 mins late as this keeps everyone on track. So I can always expect her to be on time for me, which is appreciated. Her space is decorated in a modern, chic way that draws you in, with light music always on in the background. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for brow services.

I came in with a smile excited to explore how I can tailor my brows the my face shape and learn how to maintain that by myself at home. She barely spoke to me, did not crack a smile, and did not even explain what she was doing to my eyebrows. I asked her if she was tinting them and she seemed annoyed at me even asking the question. A very cold human being. If you're new to doing brows, want an uplifting experience, or want what's in the description above, DO NOT go to this woman. I'm not sure how you can "create a long lasting relationship" or provide a "detailed consultation to understand your brow goals" when you don't even explain the process of what you're doing to MY FACE. "My goal is to help you feel confident, cared for, and on the path to your dream brows" is a false statement as she did quite the opposite and ruined my day. I asked her for a lighter color to fill mine in, but the "premium" pencil she handed to me is actually a shade darker than the shade I had on when I walked in the door. When I told her I was not happy with the result, her responses was "well that's just what you're working with with your eyebrows" and was genuinely so rude. She told me that I already know how to fill mine in so it was MY fault that I'm not happy with the service. She will most likely respond to this message with some customer service voice, but she is not what she makes herself out to be on her website. I should've asked for a refund but was genuinely too upset to even deal with it. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Do better Hilary you're selling a false narrative for $100...

I first went to Heather to correct years of over waxing which left me with thin & uneven brows, not a good look. She shaped my brows so well. I personally think I aged backwards 5 years. Going from almost no brows to perfect for my face brow is life changing!! After the birth of my son I struggled with pigmentation issues on my lips. If you know, you know. It gave me a grayed look. Heather restored my lips, neutralized the dark pigment & left me with a beautiful natural pink shade that looks better than natural but no one would ever know they were permament makeup. Most recientley I went to Heather for a touch up on my brows. Once again she was able to shape & fill in holes/ faded spots ( I am terrable with SPF). I feel so confident, natural and semetrical with my brows & lips by Heather.

Bummed to give this place such a low review, since I loved my New Customer Facial (believe it was…read morewith Rhianna) the first time I went here. I returned a few months later, this afternoon, for the Jet Peel Signature with Leigh Ann. Leigh Ann fit my insanely crazy work schedule before my Thursday Philly trip, otherwise I would have--and perhaps should have--booked in advance with Rhianna. To be fair, maybe I picked the wrong facial. But spending $212 ($185+15% courtesy tip) and getting subpar results for twice the price of my initial signature facial caused a few frown lines...not sure whether Tru offers Botox, but I won't return to find out. Leigh Ann spent the majority of our brief facial session (less than 1 hour) talking about how horrible my skin was, and how certain facials would help my skin condition in the future. Look, I understand addressing skin conditions and offering a solution--once or twice, which is what Rhianna did. But taking our whole appointment to promote future services while degrading my face and without providing quality within our current facial is a complete FAIL. Perhaps my standards are too high, but as a model who recently moved from Los Angeles and felt stoked off my first appointment here, perhaps it was today's sad service. The extractions were minimal at best, and aside from the hydro-blasting machine, this felt like a weak "slather-creams-on-and-call-it-a-day" service I could have executed myself. When I went to the bathroom while waiting for my Uber driver, I noticed a few white heads that could have easily been extracted had Leigh Ann focused more on my face in the current moment and focused less on future sales. As a Pilates instructor, this strikes me as no different than dwelling on a client's love handles and how "future services" could "fix" these issues, instead of paying full attention to my client and catering to their individual needs within our time together. If Tru Esthetics wants returning clients, it should provide more of the quality I experienced in my first session, and less of the promotional-fluff I experienced this afternoon. Rhianna completely zapped an incoming cyst in my first facial, and Leigh Ann could barely extract a basic zit today. Again, I'm disappointed that I spent over $200 today on results I could have achieved myself at home.
