I'm not sure who I texted with as they never asked my name or gave me theirs. I booked a 10am appointment the day before my trip and the woman opening the place was late. She came in with no acknowledgement of me, on a very loud phone call and unlocked the door. She stayed on the phone while I had a seat in the waiting area and continued to open the salon. After about 10 mins she finally spoke to me asking if I was here for a spray tan (still had her cell phone to her ear) then she went back to finally set up the spray tan area. The whole process was very quick and when I mentioned a cover for my white nail polish she brushed it off and told me they would be fine. Surprise! My manicure was ruined with a brown stain over them. She did not give me a full coverage spray and even after I told her this was only my second time being sprayed gave me no advice or care. The tan itself was not done well. She had a dirty towel she used with the spray machine and could barely work it when we were starting. At the end she put a fan on me and told me to wait 20 seconds and get dressed and was out the door before I could ask a question! Horrible service. Horrible experience. Horrible tan. For $50 I expect a lot more than what I got and will definitely be going anywhere else from now on.

The spa is absolutely stunning with its crisp, white decor. I was fortunate to visit during the holiday season and it's decorated beautifully. I was greeted warmly and quickly upon entrance and seated comfortably with a glass of water. I got a little nervous seeing the facials being done in an "open area" but felt relieved when Monika D came and whisked me to a private room for my treatment. The treatment room was very nice with its electric fireplace mounted on the wall, spa-like music playing, and a very warmly heated massage table. Monika explained all that she would do but I could not even recall any of it once she started her amazing treatment. I do know that she exfoliated and moisturized my entire body with elements of massage incorporated. I have had wraps in the past, but this was different. I have had to shower after wraps to remove the applied products but Monika had a technique to remove products as she provided the treatment. I lost count of how many times I fell asleep despite my best efforts not to do so. I was just that relaxed. Monika assured me that my ability to relax to the extent of falling asleep was actually a compliment. I didn't want to fall asleep because I didn't want to miss a moment of the pampering. I left with skin that feels amazing. My only negative comment (if that's really the best description) is that treatments are not "cheap", but you get what you pay for. I will definitely go back (I booked my next treatment while I was there), but this level of self-care will be saved for more special occasions rather than the routine.

On my first visit, one of the more expensive stylists seemed to rush my cut & blowdry, and barely spoke to me. I came home with parts of my hair still damp, and ended up straightening it myself since it was frizzing. Most recently, I booked with Gianna, who was so lovely and took the time to understand what I wanted and offer suggestions. I really enjoyed chatting with her, and she did a great job with both the cut and blowdry! Overall, I recommend Dolce Lusso for a convenient, solid haircut as long as you find a stylist you like!

They turned my hair orange!!!…read more I have been going to this salon for years. Sometimes the service was subpar but for the most part they got the job done correctly. Iv even switched up stylists plenty of times. Not all stylists get it just right but nothing like that happened last week. I booked online with the stylist Iv been seeing for a while who does a fantastic job!! She's so nice and really pays time, care, and attention to her clients. Once I get to the salon I was greeted by someone else. I asked what happened and where my normal stylist was and she didn't seem to know what happened to my appointment. I didn't make a big deal out of it because I thought (this is an expensive and nice salon how bad can it be).... I will never ever ever make this mistake again. I wish I had jumped out of that chair and left immediately. However, I didn't because I had payed for childcare that day just to get my hair done. If you're a mom, dad, or solo parent you understand what that means! She didn't ask any questions big red flag... she just said no worries girl I got you. I assumed she was going to follow the instructions from my normal stylist. Next thing I know she's drying my hair and it's orange. Like someone has put all over color on my roots to be this strawberry blond orange. I even asked her if she thought it looked orange and she responded no. Maybe it's the brick behind us. I went in for a routine partial highlight, natural blond, no toner. Nothing crazy or too difficult. I ended up with red hair that they tried to fix by highlighting over it. It's permanent, I can't fix it, and it's probably damaged my hair even more than it ever needed to be. This was just not okay for many reasons, the least being that I'm four months post partum and just wanted to feel pretty again. The bright side ish.... The manager tried her best to fix my hair free of charge the next day (which I had already payed full price and left a tip because I'm not a jerk). So it wasn't in fact free. I hope the manager got my original payment and tip. They told me what went wrong and I appreciate the managers honesty. However, it was a train wreck of mistakes that never should have been allowed to happen. I don't understand how that girl still has a job! The way in which she screwed up my hair is wild beyond belief. I probably could have done a better job MYSELF with box hair dye and one of those horrible old highlighting caps. All this to say, be careful when allowing a younger inexperienced person to do your hair. Iv been coming to this salon for years! Unfortunately, I cannot come back after this. You just walk in, type your name and phone number into the little iPad kiosk, and wait to be called. They are SO quick. I'm talking maybe five minutes per person quick. I've been there several times now, and every single lady I've had has done a great job. It's not just one person in particular. They all seem skilled, friendly, and efficient. It's located in Dilworth in the shopping center with the Harris Teeter. I really like that area because there's plenty of parking and a bunch of other little shops around there too. Super easy to get to. Overall, great service every time I've gone. Definitely recommend. 10 out of 10.
