A friend introduced me to this spot recently, and honestly... I get the hype! The unassuming window by Venice beach serving up delicious pasta, that you can enjoy under the sun with the sound of the waves - what's not to love!? I got spaghetti with pesto and burrata, and my friend got spaghetti alla vongole with shrimp. They were both fresh, perfectly cooked, and delicious! And decent portions too. If you are a pasta purist, you might wince at the chicken alfredo, but my friend, you are in the US after all. Fabio is incredibly friendly and treats you like a guest in his home. Highly recommend stopping by for plate of pasta, and stroll by the beach to burn it off. PS: Ask for chili flakes if you want a bit more of a kick!

WOW! What a surprise! Fabios Pasta is truly a hidden gem, the kind of cozy spot you might walk past but absolutely shouldn't. We came on a beautiful sunny day and immediately noticed how warm and personal the atmosphere felt. It was so sweet watching the owner interact with a regular, he knew their name and their usual order, which says a lot about the kind of place this is. My partner and I stopped by for a light bite and shared the fettuccine truffle mushroom pasta and their homemade tiramisu. The pasta was perfect, creamy, well-seasoned, and the truffle flavor was balanced (not overpowering like it can be at other places). You can really taste the care in the food. Fabio himself is incredibly welcoming and truly embodies the heart of Italian hospitality. If you're anywhere near Venice Beach, definitely give this place a try and support a local gem. You won't regret it!

Food was yummy here!! Prices aren't actually as cheap because some sauces and add ons are more... Service is quick and they bring the food to you once you order. Outside is cute on the beach in the alley! Heaters too

Delicious handmade pasta with an ocean view at a reasonable price? I don't think I can recommend Fabio's enough. Fabio himself was extremely kind and recommended some great pairings. Despite him being the only one working, our food was out very quick. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked with a nice texture. Both sauces were also very fresh, flavorful, and creamy. Solid portion sizes too. You order at the counter and sit outside. Either they call your name or bring it out to you. It can get a little cold at night, but there are heat lamps thoughtfully placed out by the tables. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well. The beautiful bowls are also such a memorable and unique touch. 100% recommend and I will certainly be back!

Fabio's is one of my favorite gem homemade pasta spots. It's literally a hole in the wall! The best part is that it's 10 steps from the beach so you can enjoy your pasta while you watch the sunset. Perfect date night or hang with friends! The staff is so friendly and as a resident homemade pasta connoisseur, the food is a 10/10!

Entrées: * Gnocchi Bolognese - rich, tomato-forward, and comforting. Adding sausage was a great choice and balanced the dish really well. * Rigatoni Alfredo (with chicken) - creamy, smooth, and satisfying. The chicken added extra protein and made it more filling without being too heavy. Overall: Fabio's is a great choice if you're looking for a casual, local-feeling spot near the beach. Dining outside with the ocean breeze really enhances the Venice experience. It can be a little challenging to find a table during busy times, but it's worth it. Service & Ambience: The owner was especially friendly and welcoming, which made the experience feel warm and personal. The seating area is shared with other businesses, so be sure to sit only at tables designated for the restaurant. Out of courtesy, we also returned our plates after finishing, which felt fitting for the laid-back, local setup.

Watered down

To start with the shrimp did not look Like they did on the pictures posted The pasta sauce was so watered down and had no flavor Both the pesto and mushroom cream The pasta itself was good and soft and nice texture Not sure if I would return

Some of the best pasta I've had outside of Italy. Keep crushing it, Fabio! I'll be back to try more dishes!

This place is a hidden gem! Big variety of pasta that can be customized with different sauces and toppings for very reasonable price. It has seating outside overlooking the ocean and by the boardwalk - perfect for a beautiful sunny day. Very friendly staff. I'll be coming back again soon!

Such a cute unassuming place in a side street off the Venice boardwalk. Just far enough to escape the noise. Cute walk up counter order, with quick service, and outdoor patio seating with heat lamps at night. The food was so fresh, the spaghetti feeling a little extra a la dente. The portions are very generous. We shared a cacio e pepe spaghetti and black truffle papparadelle pasta with added mushrooms. Dont forget the garlic bread, you could every table raving about it next to us! I preferred the truffle pasta over the pepe but they were both nice and creamy!

We went for a friends birthday dinner and I'm so glad I joined. I never knew this little gem existed. You almost don't know this place is there as it's literally a door in the wall with a Window. We ordered a plethora of items and everything was delicious. I especially liked the ravioli that was textured perfectly. The pesto was also really good as well as the spicy rigatoni. We completed the evening with a homemade tiramisu and it was everything I hoped it would be. Fabio was as fabulous as his food! He was smiling the entire time and you could tell took pride in what he cooked. I will certainly return!

Trendy doesn't always mean amazing food…read more We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation. We easily found parking about 25 yards from the entrance. The restaurant was almost empty, our dining companions hadn't arrived yet. We ordered sparkling water, crispy provolone and the olives, almonds and fries appetizers. The provolone arrived warm, at best, the vodka sauce it was served with was delicious. This would have been fantastic if it arrived in a small cast iron skillet, instead it was a slab of cheese that would have been better had it not arrived at the table. The olives and almonds were small and forgettable. The fries were divine. Hot, salty and served with ketchup and a Chipotle mayo. The place began to fill and I began to think we may have ordered the wrong dishes. The server was challenged. Good thing I wasn't too hungry, I settled on a caesar salad that was...boring. My guy had the Tonnarelli, that was supposed to be cacio e pepe but it was drier than the Sahara and if there were a sprinkle of pepper it ran away, far away. Our friends enjoyed the Tagliatelle and they likely would have enjoyed a shower of Parmigiano Reggiano. There was none in sight. The bread and butter was super delicious. We should have ordered a boatload. At $14 for a slice of bread served with the same almonds and olives was silly...the garlic butter was super yummy. Serve the bread and butter. Ditch the olives and almonds and by all means, slather that gorgeous butter everywhere. The coffee arrived after the chocolate and pecan brownie and dessert spoons arrived after the cannoli was devoured. We learned our server loved our friendliness on what he described was his 1st night. A few missteps, but he was tipped a generous 35% because everyone has a first night. Ignacio was friendly, and will be a fantastic server in due time. He has hopes we'll visit again. I explained we would likely see him in Argentina sooner than that. No visit by a manager. Drinks and food were dropped by alternate staff whose robot demeanor felt like we were inconveniencing them. Best service of the night was the security guard posted outside the front door - he opened and held the door for us as we arrived and as we left and even bid us a good evening. Class act. If trendy is your thing, you might enjoy this place, it was a miss for me. Expensive too. I get it though. Wages, insurance, location, and prices are what they are.

I went with the Butcher's mushroom, quinoa & beet burger. And it didn't disappoint. They do serve an Impossible Burger, but I would recommend the beet burger. And then there was poop toilet paper in the bathroom trash can. It was noticeable because it was filed to the top and was facing upwards. Both single stalls were occupied for 8 minutes. Casa 12 is kind of a trip for me. It is in the middle of super casual bars and restaurants, yet its…read moremenu and prices are of the higher quality. The vibes are extremely casual on the inside and I felt overdressed! It is a smaller and more intimate setting with small tables and lots of conversation and laughter. The staff are also very friendly, welcoming, and casual. They talk a lot with each other and their guests. It's like you're eating at a friend's house with how close everyone is with one another. Finally the food. The Caesar salad was extra fishy- it even came with whole anchovies on top! It was not my favorite since I prefer a more subtle anchovies taste in the dressing. The prosciutto and burrata were tasty and refreshing. Their rosemary(?) bread was fluffy and flavorful. The green fettuccine was rich in flavor and very filling. The star of the night for me was their Vodka pasta dish with prosciutto. They said it was a special, so I'm not sure how often they have it. All I can say is I was blown away by how rich the sauce was. The pasta is their biggest selling point- nice, Al dente, and fresh! For the desserts we tried the tiramisu and panna cotta. The tiramisu was nice and light. I personally wish there was more mascarpone, but I am a mascarpone fiend so I'm sure most people would consider it enough! The staff were kind enough to give us a complimentary panna cotta for our anniversary dinner. It was refreshing and subtle. I have never had panna cotta before, so I don't have a reference to which I can compare it. Overall 5/5. I won't sugar coat it. Yes the prices can feel high, but the context is you're right next to the beach, so it's understandable. (I always note the price tag for restaurants because I myself have to plan/save for nicer dinners. I included the bill for reference.) Keep that in mind when you are choosing to dine here. I will say though, I avoid beach side restaurants because they are usually over priced and mid tier. I can confidently say that Casa 12 brings the flavor and a pleasant, homelike break from the sandy beach. I think they are my #1 for pasta flavors. I am eager to see what restaurant can top them!
