    Flourless chocolate cake (gluten-free)
    Harshath G.

Nice, low-key casual restaurant that we came on a weeknight for dinner after a long day. We didn't drive here but it seemed like there was a decent bit of street parking around. It almost had the vibes of an Italian American diner. I have celiac (strictly gluten-free) and am vegetarian. The server was extremely friendly, helpful and was also able to reasurre me about cross-contamination protocols available in the kitchen. I ordered a custom pasta with gluten-free penne with basil pesto sauce and mixed vegetables add-in. It was great, actually! The sauce felt fresh, pasta itself tasted good, vegetables were a nice mix-in, and the portions were generous. We had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert, and it was delicious!! I thought I was too full, but we devoured the cake - it was moist and decadent. Overall, great experience here and would return!

The food here is very good. They stay off with ice waters and warm bread / butter! Service was just okay this time, the server made a snide remark about being fired for letting my sister order a kids meal... but we did order an app and an adult meal too. Cute Italian style restaurant inside. No parking lot

    Garlic shrimp pasta

I love their style of serving pasta, I ordered Garlic Shrimp with black and white pasta, it was amazing, texture of pasta done right by my preference and the shrimp was cooked accurately and the sauce was simply delightful and not drowning the dish. I ordered twice on the calamari! The owner is very welcoming and charming, I still have some left over for later. My mint mojito mocktail was divine.

Service, ambience, food - ALL AMAZING!! We looked over the menu ahead of time and knew what we wanted - a glass of cab each, caprese, artichoke shrimp gnocchi, and pumpkin ravioli. A basket of bread was placed on our table while we were waiting for our food and was great with the creamy pasta sauces. The shrimp gnocchi had a very lemony zest flavor that tastes so great with the shrimp. The pumpkin ravioli is sweet and creamy, deliciously paired with spinach in the pasta. Parking is super easy, there's meters everywhere. It wasn't too busy on a weekday evening. I'd recommend looking at the menu ahead of time here, there's a lot of items and I definitely felt overwhelmed. I was glad we picked out our meals ahead of time!

Got the Cajun seared chicken which was garlicky and creamy. Not super spicy but well balanced and the chicken was delicious. Great service, I got the appletini and the bartender / waitress came out to ask me if it was ok since they started using new lemon juice which was very thoughtful. Felt well taken care of here!

I could've sworn I'd already reviewed this place years ago, but apparently not, so I'm happy to do it now. There's honestly not much to say, though-- the food is consistently excellent, the service is solid, and the layout is lovely. I do wish there were more in the way of outdoor seating, as the patio is fully enclosed-- I know this has a more intimate feel that some people prefer, but for both noise and airflow (I am still trying to keep as covid safe as possible) I always prefer actually outdoor seats. My party and I all thoroughly enjoyed our meals (and I am happy to report that there were plenty of delightful vegetarian options on the menu). I also enjoyed the drinks, having ordered a Zombie myself.

Delicious Italian served FAST. We got our food and drinks in nearly 15 minutes. Baby friendly place- outdoor covered area. I got the "pillows" and Alfredo sauce. You can do a create your own which is perfect because I was able to add veggies and nuts to mine. I got these because they had horrible reviews but looked amazing! Super tasty My husband got the steak with pesto and really enjoyed it Baby menu is reasonably priced and the Alfredo sauce was delicious!

I've been to another location before and remember the food being yummy! We were at a baby shower nearby so we came here for an early dinner. Overall the food was tasty and the service was friendly. The calamari was yummy but didn't love the pasta I got.

TLDR: Tasty Italian food at reasonable prices. You get what you pay for, and the portions here are GENEROUS (compared to other LA spots for this price point). Looking forward to the next visit already! - - - - - - Fritto Misto is a restaurant that's really been on the block for a bit, and I'm ecstatic that a friend shared it with me. To satisfy my Italian cravings, we really came 15 minutes before opening, for some reason expecting a a line on a Sunday morning. There was - thankfully - not. Parking was fairly available on the street at ~ $2 / hr? Being one of the first customers, we were able to sit anywhere, and we chose a section in the covered, outdoor patio. The glass windows separating the street from us made for a comfy lunch spot. Our server started us with waters before giving us bread and olive oil / balsamic vinagrette... ooh! Now, I'm generally not a big fan of the bread, but for this... yes give us another basket! (Thankfully, we got another, and yes it was complimentary.) Outside of bread, we also had their fried pillows, featuring fried ricotta. They tasted good, but this is definitely going to be a one-timer for me. For our orders, we had the Atomic Chicken and Garlic Shrimp. Mine was the Garlic Shrimp, and upon receiving it, I know that my server was proud of this dish. No kidding was he when he said that there were 29 (or some other number) of shrimp! (Yes, I lost count, and it was that good.) The black and white pasta was tasty, and nothing beats a good garlic cream sauce. Another plus? It is on the pricier side, but those portions are generous! I came in expecting to save the rest for another meal, but it was too tempting not to finish. My friend's meal? Thankfully, he didn't succumb to the competition and was able to pack the rest home along with his bread for another meal. Paying was fairly easy, and the entire dining experience was smooth. Halfway through, we also had another server (shift change?) but table to table, our servers were efficient and friendly.

Upon moving to west LA, I'd heard that this was one of the best Italian restaurants in the city, and my first dining experience here did not disprove that idea. The server was nice and provided menu recommendations, including daily specials. Our group tried three different dishes and enjoyed all of them -- the ravioli, lemon fettuccini, and Italian sausage are all fantastic, and the sauces are all very flavorful. Fritos Misto also serves warm bread to your table before the meal, which is always a win in my book. The five stars here are well-deserved, but I'm hoping word doesn't get out too quickly, as I love the food and want to come back without having to wait in an hour-long line.

Create your own pasta for the win!! My friends and I walked to this location but it looked to be street parking. We did not have a reservation but only waited a few mins to be seated. The place was packed so we had our hopes high for good eats. We all wanted pasta and did the create your own. We got a little creative :) everyone had a different meal. One of my friends got vegan pasta and that was cool that they offered it! I did the lemon pepper pasta with a garlic butter sauce and added chicken. It was good! The lemon pepper was not as present/distinguished as the other flavors so that would have been nice to have it stand out more. Overall I think everyone enjoyed their meal and it we would go back for another bite!

Back in our UCLA days, my friends and I used to love eating here (the old location). The vibes were great, the food was filling, and it could fit all of us -- we used to roll deep. Fast forward 10 years later, and we needed a spot for our reunion dinner. Jonas the manager was super accommodating and kind -- we were able to make a reservation for 20 of us. The food was as good as I remembered, our server was incredible (and also very patient with us -- we were a little slow to order because everyone was busy catching up). We basically ordered everything - so yummy, and the perfect antidote for all of our discussions about our 10-year-post-grad anxieties. The biggest negative about this place is that I live 400 miles away and it's a bit of a trek to get back!

The pasta was easily some of the best we've had outside of Italy -- simple, authentic, and executed at a very high level. It genuinely felt like being transported back to Italy. Every dish was balanced, fresh, and memorable. Our server, Kiara, delivered exceptional hospitality. She made us feel welcome, relaxed, and genuinely taken care of the entire evening. She's a great example of how service should be done. We enjoyed it so much that we were recommending the restaurant to people on our way out. There was a situation during our visit that concerned me at the time. I won't go into details here, but what matters most is how it was handled. Shortly after, I was contacted directly by the regional manager. He had already reviewed the situation internally and addressed it promptly. Our conversation was thoughtful, professional, and focused on doing the right thing. What stood out most is their philosophy: they're not just in the business of serving pasta -- they're in the business of taking care of people. That clearly extends to both their guests and their team. That level of accountability and leadership is rare, and it turned a great experience into one that I respect even more. Kiara absolutely represents the standard they aim for, and we'll definitely be back.

The staff is great, and the menu offers a nice variety of dishes. Some favorites are the mushroom pizza, boar ragù, sole, and branzino. We often bring out-of-town guests here because of the convenient location and their ability to accommodate larger parties. Our favorite table when dining with friends is the one immediately to the left when you enter- it's more tucked away from the rest of the restaurant, making it cozy, more intimate, and easier to have conversations. Dinner typically requires a reservation unless you arrive early, and it's much livelier than lunchtime. The wine recommendations are always excellent, and it's a great spot for a relaxed, leisurely meal. They strike the perfect balance between a polished dining experience and attentive service. We usually sit inside, but now that we have a puppy, we're looking forward to enjoying their patio on our next visit. Parking is easy- if meters aren't available, there's plenty of parking on nearby residential side streets (just pay attention to the signs). It's also a great area to walk around afterward for dessert or coffee.

The Diavola pizza I ended up choosing was so good--perfect balance of spice, richness, and that classic wood-fired taste. Creme was a little sour, corn was sweet, and the agnolotti was salty; perfect bite fr. My only negative is that this dish was too small for $28 :(. Blood Orange Pavlova (4/5) - A truly layered dessert because if you ate the sorbet by itself, it would be too sour but otherwise, another flavor explosion. Ospi is a bit more Americanized, and they do that very well. Spacious and gets crowded, so a reservation is a good idea. Fun cocktails and a variety of wines to choose from, if you're so inclined. The Chef's Negroni is a soothing, smoky and somewhat sweet cocktail that starts with cathedral mezcal. I loved it. We ordered a several dishes - and let's start by saying you must try the ricotta. 'Whipped cheese, sea salt' does not do it justice, but it's wonderful and perfect to share. The Beef Tartare is another winner, served with crispy potato and parm. It's pretty huge, and rich, and conveniently cut into pieces for easy sharing. The crunch potato chips on top are a nice finish. A creative take on a classic, purists might wonder what's going on, until they taste it. The Caesar is huge and great to share, too, as well as the Crispy Rhode Island Calamari. These are more in the department of comfortable staples, but are delicious crowdpleasers, nonetheless. Of the entrees we ordered, everyone seemed to like mine the most: Malloreddus (bbef cheek, ragu napoletano, thyme, toscano). It sounded a bit quirky, but inviting. The server gave it a bit thumbs up, so I'm glad to have ventured this way. Served over the small pasta pieces that you can watch being made closer to the front of the restaurant. The Lemon Tagliolini features lobster 'fry diavolo', basil and pistachio. Not too spicy, and the lobster and pasta were perfectly cooked. The cannelloni was perhaps the one entree that, while good, did not rise above 'just fine'. Perhaps the flavors were a bit toned down that night, or maybe overwhelmed by the gorgeous Sorrentina blanket of mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil.
