Ok, let's jump in. This place is a perfect little Italian place just south of the Santa Monica pier The meatball appetizer although $13 (a little over priced for 2 meatballs, but they were made perfectly. The ravioli $22 leave a little to be desired. Kind of gave me the frozen vibe. However, the carbonara was absolutely amazing! The pizza is pretty good as well, it not NY level but for California it's a good pie. The staff is friendly, place is clean. Overall I would recommend this place and the carbonara for sure. Prices seem a little high but for the area I'm not surprised. After a long day at the beach, definitely stop by and have a good meal

Delicious Italian food that's right next to the Santa Monica Pier. Pasta is made fresh, and the sauces are simple and authentic.

The food here is delicious. The service is kinder than most and do their best to make you feel at home. The ambiance makes you feel like you're in the old country m. You walk in the door and Europe is right there. Back to the delicious food, we had a chicken Marsala, garlic bread, and lasagna. The lasagna and garlic bread were smash hits. The Marsala differs from any that I've ever had and that was a good thing. Their dessert was a pistachio Ricotta cake which was truly amazing. For European taste, service, and feel this is the place. Thanks Michael and Marion! If you can't wait to go to Europe, go to Bruno's.

Our AC was broken on Sat and it was 97° outside and 86° inside in Burbank so we decided to go to the beach for dinner. It's amazing how much cooler (like 20°) it is on the south side of the hill. We parked at the mall ($4). So we found Bruno's for Italian food. We were seated right away. The man who helped us spoke Italian to the other employees and told me he was from there when I asked. So that was a good sign. We split garlic bread and a dinner salad. I had lasagna and my man had fettuccine Alfredo. We enjoyed all. It was a bit spendy- expect those Santa Monica prices! It was good(but not magical).

Sadly this food wasn't very good in my option. The Caesar salad was more of an Italian salad with a lot of garlic. But not a true Caesar dressing at all. It was "ok" but not what I was expecting. The bread they brought out was very plain yet toasted - so not soft and lacking flavor. Not worth eating. So I stopped after a few bites. We were going to order veal. But they didn't have it tonight. We didn't know til we went to order. So we got the chicken parmigiana. It wasn't very flavorful and sauce was pretty bland. I think the same sauce was on the spaghetti. So after a bite, I didn't eat it either. Disappointing meal to me. My husband said the meatballs were "good" and he sorta liked the chicken. So I'll say 3 stars (average meal at an above average price). :(

On any given Sunday, I as a creature of habit stay within the confines of Venice and walk the canals esp in winter when the ocean breeze is more of a sandstorm. But today was gorgeous. So my neighbor and I decided to walk the ocean to Nordstrom's from Venice to Santa Monica. We never made it there but since we were parched and starved 3 miles later. We decided to roll the dice walk into Bruno's for linner. It was an excellent idea. Let's begin with the service, it's friendly and thorough always a major consideration. And the side salad was amazing. All sorts of veges in a melange not just a pile of lettuce leaves. The Pizza was handmade and both perfectly crunchy and cheesy But not greasy: A fine balance. We dined outside bc as you know, I brought my lil pup Pongo. It was private and the ocean breeze was relaxing. And then of course, I had a feminine emergency and they were ever so kind to help me! And that saved me until I was able to return home to Venice and comfortably address my situation. I appreciate that, more than I can express! Did I mention this is a small business and family-owned. Both of which I am a strong advocate of, in these times of considerable corporate inflation. Ya know this 6 mile walk may become a habit of sorts just to sit and Linner @Bruno's or Brunch and explore their additional menu options. It was a wonderful discovery and delight. Thank you.

We adore Brunos. It is in Santa Monica within walking distance to cool things to do after dinner, you can just take a walk, go to the Santa Monica Pier or stop for a drink. Parking can be a pain so get ready for that. All of their food is quite tasty. My favorite is their lasagna and any of their pizzas. They are all fresh and in the red sauce they use is amazing. This time we picked up to take home. It was ready when we got there and still warm when we got home. It is a super cute place and we will eat there next time. Have fun.

No room to sit. The other seats are for "customers only".

Came for the @barcrawlnation bar crawl and they didn't have room for everyone. I paid extra for VIP and could t even sit. Poor planning.

While we couldn't be sat immediately, the sent us to the bar where we enjoyed some yummy cocktails. Not even 10 minutes later, the waitress came to sit us at a lovely table right by the water without being outside -- score! 2. The food is so freaking good. Let's start with the whipped eggplant which totally blew my mind. I'm now thoroughly convinced I might actually like eggplant as long as it's prepared like this. Definitely a fave. Every dish was delicious, though, including the hot honey pizza and the pear salad. 3. The views! So beautiful! Such a gorgeous place to watch the sunset in Santa Monica. Highly highly recommend!

The staff is great, and the menu offers a nice variety of dishes. Some favorites are the mushroom pizza, boar ragù, sole, and branzino. We often bring out-of-town guests here because of the convenient location and their ability to accommodate larger parties. Our favorite table when dining with friends is the one immediately to the left when you enter- it's more tucked away from the rest of the restaurant, making it cozy, more intimate, and easier to have conversations. Dinner typically requires a reservation unless you arrive early, and it's much livelier than lunchtime. The wine recommendations are always excellent, and it's a great spot for a relaxed, leisurely meal. They strike the perfect balance between a polished dining experience and attentive service. We usually sit inside, but now that we have a puppy, we're looking forward to enjoying their patio on our next visit. Parking is easy- if meters aren't available, there's plenty of parking on nearby residential side streets (just pay attention to the signs). It's also a great area to walk around afterward for dessert or coffee.

The Diavola pizza I ended up choosing was so good--perfect balance of spice, richness, and that classic wood-fired taste. The bolognese was super authentic and just oozing with flavor, and the Caesar salad totally surprised me--in the best way. It had these tiny crunchy crumbs on top that gave it such a unique texture. BUT I have to mention something that really threw me off. I asked one of the pizza makers which pizza she recommended because I was stuck between a few options, and she paused, looked at me, and said, "I don't really like the pizzas here." I genuinely didn't know how to respond. I even had to double-check with my friend to make sure I heard her correctly. It was such a strange moment... especially because the pizza ended up being amazing. On the flip side, our server was fantastic. Even though she was clearly slammed, she kept checking in and made sure we knew she hadn't forgotten about us. That level of attentiveness goes a long way. My sister and I came in without reservations around 8pm and they sat us inside on the counter after 10 minutes of waiting. They were pretty full for table dining. Spicy Pomodoro (3.5/5) - This didn't hit as hard for me; I wished it was more spicy and I didn't taste any truffle. Pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Sweet Corn Agnolotti (5/5) - This was delish! Make sure to get equal parts of the pasta, sauce, corn, and crème fraiche (like a light sour cream) to get that flavor explosion. Creme was a little sour, corn was sweet, and the agnolotti was salty; perfect bite fr. My only negative is that this dish was too small for $28 :(. Blood Orange Pavlova (4/5) - A truly layered dessert because if you ate the sorbet by itself, it would be too sour but otherwise, another flavor explosion. The pavlova was thick and you really have to jam your spoon in to break the pieces apart. Service was friendly and fast! Overall, I'd come back!

Ospi is a bit more Americanized, and they do that very well. Spacious and gets crowded, so a reservation is a good idea. Fun cocktails and a variety of wines to choose from, if you're so inclined. The Chef's Negroni is a soothing, smoky and somewhat sweet cocktail that starts with cathedral mezcal. I loved it. We ordered a several dishes - and let's start by saying you must try the ricotta. 'Whipped cheese, sea salt' does not do it justice, but it's wonderful and perfect to share. The Beef Tartare is another winner, served with crispy potato and parm. It's pretty huge, and rich, and conveniently cut into pieces for easy sharing. The crunch potato chips on top are a nice finish. A creative take on a classic, purists might wonder what's going on, until they taste it. The Caesar is huge and great to share, too, as well as the Crispy Rhode Island Calamari. These are more in the department of comfortable staples, but are delicious crowdpleasers, nonetheless. Of the entrees we ordered, everyone seemed to like mine the most: Malloreddus (bbef cheek, ragu napoletano, thyme, toscano). It sounded a bit quirky, but inviting. The server gave it a bit thumbs up, so I'm glad to have ventured this way. Served over the small pasta pieces that you can watch being made closer to the front of the restaurant. The Lemon Tagliolini features lobster 'fry diavolo', basil and pistachio. Not too spicy, and the lobster and pasta were perfectly cooked. The cannelloni was perhaps the one entree that, while good, did not rise above 'just fine'. Perhaps the flavors were a bit toned down that night, or maybe overwhelmed by the gorgeous Sorrentina blanket of mozzarella, tomato sauce and basil.
