What a pleasant surprise! This place serves fantastic food right by the ocean. The service was incredibly fast - I got my truffle pasta literally about five minutes after ordering. The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was great, and the food exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Truffle Pasta and it was absolutely delicious. One thing I really appreciated was the attention to presentation. Compared to the places next door, my meal came out quickly on a beautiful plate at a nice wooden table, while people at a neighboring restaurant were still waiting 15+ minutes for burgers, had to pick up their own food, and everything was served in disposable containers. Fresh pasta right next to the beach, what else would you need? Came to celebrate my friend's bday w a nice chill day at the beach and Fabio's was a great spot to eat at. The prices are fair and while the portions might look small on a plate it was actually the perfect size for us. Both our bolognese and Alfredo pasta were great and we really appreciated the heaters as it definitely got chilly. Cant wait to return to Venice Beach again! read more

My favorite pasta place in all of SoCal. Great outdoor seating under the sun. Locals know a lot of the food on the boardwalk can be a ripe off that lacks in taste. Not here! A friend introduced me to this spot recently, and honestly... I get the hype! The unassuming window by Venice beach serving up delicious pasta, that you can enjoy under the sun with the sound of the waves - what's not to love!? I got spaghetti with pesto and burrata, and my friend got spaghetti alla vongole with shrimp. They were both fresh, perfectly cooked, and delicious! And decent portions too. If you are a pasta purist, you might wince at the chicken alfredo, but my friend, you are in the US after all. Fabio is incredibly friendly and treats you like a guest in his home. We came on a beautiful sunny day and immediately noticed how warm and personal the atmosphere felt. It was so sweet watching the owner interact with a regular, he knew their name and their usual order, which says a lot about the kind of place this is. My partner and I stopped by for a light bite and shared the fettuccine truffle mushroom pasta and their homemade tiramisu. Despite him being the only one working, our food was out very quick. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked with a nice texture. Both sauces were also very fresh, flavorful, and creamy. Solid portion sizes too. You order at the counter and sit outside. Either they call your name or bring it out to you. It can get a little cold at night, but there are heat lamps thoughtfully placed out by the tables. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well. Cute walk up counter order, with quick service, and outdoor patio seating with heat lamps at night. The food was so fresh, the spaghetti feeling a little extra a la dente. Horrible service! I was thrilled to try this place with my girlfriend. When we arrived, we went to the window to place our order. The owner informed us that he needed 5-10 minutes to take orders due to being backed up. This was completely understandable, and we didn't mind. However, not even a minute later, someone walked up and placed an order right in front of us. When I mentioned this to the owner, he was incredibly rude and claimed that they had been waiting to place an order. This was a lie, as we had seen them walk up and place their order. Even if that were the case, it would have been respectful to let us know, considering we were standing right there and just was told he needed 5-10 minutes Instead of being understanding of our confusion, the owner was extremely nasty and rolled his eyes. Located on a small food alley on Venice Beach, Fabio's lives up to it's high rating. They serve delicious pasta, in a fabulous location with friendly service. It was a little before lunch rush when we got here so the only wait was for the food prep. It's a small counter at a dutch door where you order, like all the restaurants along this alley. My fam was able to spread out and get their own thing so in that way the location is great as well. My daughter ate here and I mopped up the left overs. The staff brought the food to our table and offered to geind pepper and parm on o the food. An unexpectedly nice gesture. This place is the real deal. Fabio, the owner, is truly Italian -- from Northern Italy -- and you can taste that authenticity in every bite. It's very much a hole-in-the-wall setup: you order at the counter, pay, and then Fabio personally brings your food to one of the small tables set up outside. The whole experience is minimal, efficient, and completely focused on quality. As an Italian born and raised in Italy, I find it very hard to eat pasta outside of Italy without being disappointed -- but this place is a true testament to how it should be done. The pasta is fresh, and the ingredients are divine. We tried the fettuccine with truffle and mushrooms and the rigatoni with basil and shrimp. We pretty much licked the plates clean. The outdoor seating is simple and cute, tucked into a little alley just a few steps from Venice Beach. It can get a bit breezy with the ocean air -- we visited in February -- but they have several outdoor heat lamps placed around the tables. I'd still recommend bringing an extra layer just in case. Being Venice Beach, you'll likely see some quirky characters strolling by, but that's part of the atmosphere. Parking-wise, there are paid lots nearby, but they can be expensive. I'd suggest parking a few streets away in the residential area where you can usually find free street parking. read more

Every order is made once you place it and it comes in a beautiful blue plate. I chose to get the Pappardelle with Arrabiata sauce with italian sausage and fresh burrata. It was simply amazing. The pappardelle was al dente and the arrabiata sauce had a great kick of spice and great tomato flavor. There was plenty of italian sausage in my plate and the fresh burrata on top was delicious and creamy. Eating my pasta on a colder night for dinner at one of the tables outside with people bustling around provided a unique and great atmosphere. I got the fettuccini with marinara and burrata, such a classic and delicious pairing. The pasta is very obviously made in house from scratch, because it is so much better than other local pasta spots. My friend got the fettuccini with Alfredo sauce and loved it too! The tables outside in the sun are such a great addition, and the beautiful bowls they serve the pasta in really adds to the comfort of the whole experience. Today the weather was absolutely perfect. You will see from the pictures that Fabio is a small kitchen,. The outside seating is comfortable and fits the atmosphere of beach life. The menu, has extensive choices and combinations that one can do. I went with potato and gnocchi and a mushroom sauce. It was absolutely perfect. The gnocchi were tender but from enough not to be mushy. The sauce was exquisite. I had a Pellegrino, but they do have alcohol choices available. There was lovely live guitar music outside in the middle of the afternoon. This is a tremendous experience. I love places like this. Small but very high-quality and very intimate feeling.
