I hired Cynthia for my 2020 wedding and kept her on as a vendor for my 2022 postponed wedding. It's taken a few weeks for me to process my emotions about how the coordination went on our wedding day, and it's hard for me to leave anything less than a 5 star review, so I'll make this fast... From a client's perspective, I recommend Cynthia work the following: - communication: answering all emails - paying attention to detail: following instructions from couple + keeping couple completely informed on wedding day - not blaming others - people skills/not being confrontational: staying calm regardless of the stress of the moment, and communicating with all guests in a respectful manner through the entire day Some positives - Cynthia still did her job while pregnant, which I can imagine is difficult, her assistant was great, and she took alcohol home for us after the wedding, that we picked up from her the next day (we weren't informed there was leftover alcohol until we got home). For all these reasons, we still tipped her well and sent her a nice thank you text. Cynthia was not a good fit as a wedding coordinator for us, but she could be for another couple. Had I interviewed her beforehand, I think I would've sensed right away that we weren't a good match. Cynthia from F.A.T.E was just all around the best! I was referred to her by a friend, so I hired her. But, only for the day-of. As it came closer to our wedding day, Cynthia would check in a couple of times regarding our timeline because I had no clue what to do. But, she had helped so much in putting the timeline together. I just provided the info. On our dinner rehearsal, she stayed and hung out with my family for a while. It's almost like she was already part of the family! She understood my vision and time crunch, planning a wedding in 7 months. I went will ALL of the vendors she recommended without question, except one, our venue, The Palm Sophia Rooftop. Everything went extremely smooth up until 3 days before the wedding. The Palm Sophia dropped us without notice or explanation. You read that right 3 days before the wedding we were dropped. Cynthia got to work immediately!!!!! Magic happened. The next day we had a new venue, The Los Angeles Athletic Club. OMG this place is beautiful. The ambiance, the history, the location, everything you can want for the perfect wedding. Things like this can only be done if you have a great rapport in the business. With the flick of her wrist she had the other vendors in line, coordinated and ready for the new venue. 24 hours later we were back on track. I recently got married on March 15, 2019. When I first met Cynthia, it felt like we were friends for years! She made me feel very comfortable with any decisions I've made. She worked with my vision every step of the way. When I met up with her to work on my timeline, she told me to just trust her! Not gonna lie, it's hard for me to trust people. Like every mother, I wanted to celebrate my son's first birthday party so that he has memories to cherish. I was hoping to travel to India and introduce my little one to his great grand Ma and celebrate his birthday back home where I grew up. Unfortunately the pandemic emerged and everything came to a stand still and that's when my quest for how to celebrate my sons birthday started. The challenging part was how to celebrate in this quarantined world. While on the quest I stumbled upon Cynthia's daughter's birthday party. The creativity of this mom and entrepreneur struck me. She amazed me with the whole concept of making her daughter's birthday special. Not anticipating any reply from her I took chances to email her to ask if she could help me plan my sons birthday. To my surprise she was very swift and replied to my email saying how delighted she was to see the email and that she could help me plan the quarantined party. We initially video called and introduced ourselves and spoke about what my plans are what theme I was looking to execute and within 48 hours I not only knew my sons party is on track and that would be awesome but also got my baker for the cake(amazing Funke), Photographer(Leah) and the balloon artist. The way this all ended up happening still awes me and somehow feel that the universe has conspired to make all of this possible. I celebrated my sons birthday on the Memorial Day and it was perfection. Every detail was perfect. The cake was moist and delicious with decadent chocolate. The balloon basket was unreal and a perfect center of attraction. The photographs were so good that I am having a hard time to pick my favorite and last but not the least it was Cynthia who really pulled this through, again. I have no words of gratitude for her. Her dedication, creativity and passion towards her work are definitely worth mentioning. We hired FATE for day of coordination. Cynthia was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. I had a horrible experience with a previous coordinator and Cynthia stepped in as our coordinator a few months before our wedding. She had another wedding scheduled the same day as our wedding but because she has multiple teams she was able to save me! I had all details and vendors and everything taken care of previous to hiring FATE but with all details given to the team they were able to present the layout to our reception spot on! I had all wedding items and decor in boxes and labeled and they unboxed and placed everything where it needed to go. Ivan and Juana were her team members who handled the day of our wedding. We all know something is going to go wrong on the day of the wedding and Ivan and Juana made sure to fix all problems with ease. Ivan saved my wedding dress multiple times when the bussle came loose and Juana saved my makeup when my lipstick smudged and ran to her car grabbed her makeup and cleaned me up! Juana drove to the store when we ran out of cups. I mean the list goes on! They were very professional and made sure all guests knew where they were sitting. I did not get to work with Cynthia the day of the wedding but she was there at the venue early in the morning and came back later at night. I loved that FATE danced with us at the end of the night and made sure to have fun while working. We live in Arizona but had our wedding in Los Angeles.. our ceremony was held at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles and reception was at Los Angeles Athletic Club, and she still somehow made the planning process so easy for us being out of state and working with two different venues. Not only did she help us with planning our wedding...she did so during the pandemic where our wedding was postponed AND we had to do a venue change! Cynthia always made herself available and was patient whenever we had questions (and we had a lot given the circumstances) or needed help. She made it a point to check in on us even when planning was on a hiatus and things were shutdown. Where do I begin?! We got married on 11/23/19, and my wedding couldn't have turned out better, thanks to the FATE team!!! I was looking for a day of coordinator and my DJ recommended me to Cynthia.
