We hired Party Services So Cal for our wedding at The Barton House for bartending and a server/busser. They were great! They worked with us to create a custom menu with themed drinks, provided insurance info to the venue, and brought everything needed for the bar! It was so convenient and the price was reasonable. The server/busser was fantastic and super on top of things! She helped clear tables quickly and helped us clean up and put our decor in boxes at the end of the night. She even helped load stuff into our car! They made the event run so smoothly and I definitely recommend them! read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. My venue suggested this company for my bartending services for our wedding and the planning throughout the year before was fine. David was responsive and seemed to have a very positive attitude. First off!!! I told him exactly how many drinkers we were having at the wedding as they provide you with their "expertise" on how much alcohol to purchase. We bought exactly what he suggested to buy. I also sent a detailed email entailing what I expected the day of the wedding & what the bartender was to do. Example- no shots, no double shots, one drink per person etc. Everything seems fine and understood. Day of my wedding I arrive to my venue & am greeted by a very rude bartender named Ivan who says "what do you want me to do?" Surprised I say "Hi I'm the bride what's going on?" He then proceeds to tell me he doesn't know where to set up or where the alcohol is or what exactly he's to do. Somewhat surprised & 20 mins before my wedding starts I quickly explain to him I want drinks served outside for cocktail hour & afterwards for him to come inside for the reception & show him where the drinks are etc. I try to brush off the rude encounter & go on with the day. Fast forward to reception it is now 7pm and one of my guests says "do you know why the bartender is still outside?" I go and ask him why he never came and set up inside and he says "I didn't know you wanted me to& by the way you're out of alcohol" By now I'm irritated & ask "what do you mean out of alcohol how much did you serve during cocktail hour it was only one hour?!?" He proceeds to tell me he served multiple drinks at a time, double shots and whatever people were asking for. I said "why did you do that if I specifically asked you what to do?" And he responded "they're your guests tell them to stop asking for so much but you're out of alcohol so idk what you want me to do" he says this with a shrug and a very I could care less tone. No part of him is reassuring that we'll resolve this "issue" In fact it's very "I don't give a crap about any of this." Well first off, he had instructions on how much to serve, secondly his "job" is to read the crowd + the amount of alcohol you have and serve based off of that& thirdly THEY TOLD US HOW MUCH ALCOHOL TO BUY!!! Now it gets worse. My father in law goes up to him and asks him to only speak to him about any issues that may come up & he'll send someone to get more alcohol. What does this man do. He processes to start complaining to anyone and everyone that "were out of alcohol were out of alcohol" So next thing you know I have people left and right asking what's going on why don't we have alcohol etc. He had a horrible attitude the entire time & truly didn't give a crap about being helpful whatsoever. Don't waste your time with this company. He added so much extra stress for no reason. I wish I could go back and never book with them but unfortunately what's done is done. We hired Party Services SoCal for a Mocktail Bar at a quinceañera. Jessalyn was amazing. She arrived early and set up everything including the dry ice display. She was able to mix, blend and serve drinks to 83 very excited teenagers with a smile and a great attitude. The teens loved the bar dedicated just to them and raved about the drinks. Unfortunately I was assigned to this company by my wedding venue. This company is a joke. It's really not a company. I reached out 3 months before my wedding, I emailed, I called, and didn't get a reply until I complained to my venue. I finally heard from David 2 weeks before my wedding day with a short rude call. Communication with this company is terrible. All through emails, if you call they don't respond. They charged an arm and a leg to serve beer and wine. You don't need to be a bartender to serve beer and wine. Part of their service was for them to do the shopping for you (alcohol). Well they changed their mind and wanted to charge me for their time and distance. I fought against it. Then they didn't want to provide me with receipts when they purchased the alcohol. Again I fought against it and they finally provided them the day of the wedding. On my wedding day, this guy sends over the receipts with a member from the venue while in getting ready. Didn't even had the decency to wait after the wedding or even come up to me himself. I requested a certain type of hard seltzers and he bought the wrong ones. I asked him not to serve anything in a can, to serve things in cups, he did not do what I requested. I ordered 2 kegs for the wedding. On the wedding day he didn't have taps for them. He sent someone to ask me if I brought taps. Really? What kind of "bartender" doesn't have taps? Thats like a DJ asking me if I brought speakers, or a mechanic asking me if I brought my own tools. So he went and rented the taps which I had to pay for. He also told me I could return the kegs to any Bjs restaurant. So I took the kegs home (2hrs away) and it turns out I need to turn those kegs in to the establishment I rented them from. Now I have to drive back to Temecula to return them. During the reception I went up to him, tried to talk it over and he wouldn't even look at me eye to eye. This "company" is a joke. Horrible communication, unprofessional, rude. They also go by Get You Drunk Services. A bartender with a motto of "get you drunk" isn't a true mixologist who respects the trade. If you can avoid them, do so. RUN. read more

We hired two bar tenders and two servers to staff our 200 person wedding in Highland Park. They were professional and hard working and our wedding coordinator raved about how well they worked with the rest of the team at the wedding. The only bummer was that we stipulated in the contract that the bar tenders were not to put out a tip jar (we agreed to pay the full tip and did), but I was told after the wedding that they, in fact, had put one out. Perhaps this was just a mistake, but I really did not want my guests to pay for anything that day. As more time goes by, I feel more and more upset by this. I believe this was a breach of contract. Waste of time and money . Super unprofessional and frustrating . I hired this company for one bartender for my wedding . Met with david for a consultation. Spent like 40 minutes with him explaining exactly what I needed in detail for my event . Day of comes and I'm getting my makeup done and I have the bartender he sent asking me a million questions about what he is supposed to be doing . I'm trying to enjoy getting my makeup done and have to walk outside half dressed to explain to him . He then tells me " I was not instructed to do any of this , this what it says to do and points to his email that was from his manager David like three bullet points about pouring champagne and bring salt and limes . It's as if my whole consultation never even happened . So make a long story short I summarized to him what to do and he did the opposite of what I asked for. He was sloppy and had his tie undone . He also was caught stealing food from my meat and cheese buffet while the chef was still setting up. What the hell is that. He was supposed to monitor the guests drinking and make sure that they were drinking responsibility which was a major reason I told david I was hiring a professional . He poured people double shots and left all the extra Alcohol on top of the bar unattended even though david assured me it would be hidden under the bar .the only thing positive thank god is that the guests said he was nice and he made good jokes . Well okay maybe he should be a comedian and not a bartender . So I reached out to david and he responds that the day has already passed and there is nothing he can do . Really ? Money talks. We had a female bartender and she was amazing--there was a line for a bit but she got through it quick. If you want the servers to steal from you then go ahead and hire this company... If i can put negative stars I would.. it has taken me a long time to finally write this, but I think it's time now. I had a huge 7th birthday for my daughter last August and my party planner hired these people to serve and clean. I spent almost $800 on the dessert table alone, and I noticed that the mini cupcakes were running out towards the end, I just figured the guest must've loved em, so they were taken fast. Well I walked into the kitchen at the end of the party and noticed there was still one tray of chocolate, half tray of vanilla, and 3 trays of white chocolate raspberry (which were the best).. my planner explained she packed my bag for home so I'd be getting all the desserts especially since my daughter didn't get to try them since she was busy with activities... well when David's workers from this crooked business walked out of the building I noticed the male who worked for us that day had a dessert bag in his hand, and inside was the mini white raspberry cupcakes. When they got in the car to leave I asked my planner if she gave permission for them to take desserts and she said maybe a tray is just what they took. And I would've been fine with that.. but when I go home I only had the tray of chocolate and the half tray of vanilla. My planner and myself tried to deal with David and he was completely rude with responding to me. Claiming he searched their car after my party and they had nothing, now I know that's a lie because I seen it with my own eyes. DAVID has horrible customer service, and the servers names were Jackie, Sierra, and Chris, so if you hire this company, check what servers you are supposed to get, and avoid those 3. They don't know that my daughter asked for her Princess cupcakes when we got home, I worked hard to spend that kind of money in order to have a princess dessert table. David claimed he is so shocked because this has never happened before in all his years of business, well im sure it happens often but they just never get caught, so this time they did, so he shouldve owned up to it and at least apologized, he didnt 'till his last msg where he decided he would never reply again, because he sure didn't. And that apology wasn't till weeks later keep in mind, all previous messages were just rude defensive type messages because he acts like the company is too perfect. At that point he should've offered compensation, but he made it seem like I said he didn't have too, which I didn't expect him too, but after the rudeness, he needed too... We used their bar services for our wedding reception and I'm so glad that we did! Alissa was a great bartender with an outgoing and fun personality and all the guests loved her. Everyone had a great time and nobody ended up drinking too much... she had a good eye for when people could use a stronger drink (hello bride and groom after taking photos haha) and when people needed to be poured a bit less (sister-in-laws, baby sister, who just barely turned 21!) I would hire them again and again. Costs are amazing and they really know what they are doing. Highly recommend! read more

HORRRRRRRRIBLE. I wish we could give negative stars. If we could pay to do that, I would literally pay money on this site to give negative stars. I'm only giving one star because I had to give something just to post this. First of all, I dealt with David via email and he was very helpful. He helped me provide themed drinks, which alcohols and amounts to use for those drinks and usually responded in an appropriate amount of time. I had no idea that he wouldn't be the one that was providing us service. The day of the party, his bartender Nida contacted me via phone to talk about the game plan for the party (which started at 8). The party was at the Riverside Art Museum and she lived in corona and said it would take 30 minutes to get there. She was polite and said she would leave early to make sure she got there early enough to make sure drinks were served on time at 8. Also, when emailing David he told me everything would be provided by them in terms of utensils. She confirmed this over the phone. She got there late. She rushed in 10 minutes to 8. So drinks weren't served until closer to 830. We even provided a bar setup for her. We had lemons that she was to cut. She didn't bring a knife. My mother in law went to the caterer to ask to borrow a knife and then she (my mother in law) cut the lemons not Nida. She broke 2 of our bottles (that we bought and provided). She drank with the guests and was taking multiple shots. She was dancing on the dance floor. Her husband was doing so also at some point. At many times the bar was unattended and guests poured their own drinks. She allowed ice to leak from the bar when she was notified at two different times that this was happening. That leakage was close to seeping into the museum wall and costing us thousands of dollars. At the end of the night she left a tornado of a mess around the bar that we had to stay up and clean after the event. Some of the trash she left seeped into the wall which we had to wash. On top of everything at the end of the night, I had money set aside for her and I was nowhere to be found (my fault). So she went to my mother law and said the bill due was more than agreed. And my mother in law (being the nice lady that she is) tipped her knowing all the issues of the night. Had it been me, I would have given her a piece of my mind. I conveyed this to David via email the next day. Everything. 1-2 weeks later I emailed him again and he finally responded. He defended her saying she is one of their best and never had any problems in the past. And about the issue of her drinking alcohol, all he said was, "all i'll say about that is that we don't allow it...." No customer service skills whatsoever. I re-wrote him explaining this to him, and he offered to give the overcharged payment back. Well, it's been approximately 3 weeks...still waiting for the check. I will never ever use them again. I discourage any and everyone from doing so. read more

AWFUL! Bad service and communication before the event. Bad service the day of the event. The bartender that came to work our party had such a bad attitude. It was obvious that the main office didn't communicate with her the details of my event. The main office was not very responsive to my inquiries. The took several days responding at times. They did however communicate that I was responsible for their set up (just the tables) and cutting the limes that were to be used for the drink. A few things that happened....... 1. The bartender decided that she just wouldn't bother with the garnish (cherries) that I provided since she couldn't open the jar. If I didn't ask her if she noticed the cherries she wouldn't have used it.. She says.. "Oh I couldn't open it". WOW 2. She came and and asked me what was in my signature drink and signature shot. This was discussed with their main office. I asked for a cocktail and shot that would include Vodka and Mango juice. 3. When my husband asked for a Maitai... she had to look it up on her phone 4. At one point... she sat down on the patio behind the bar and was just chillin out. WTF?? If you are looking for a bartender.... please look somewhere else. We normally work with a WONDERFUL TEAM... but they were unavailable. read more

I had two people (including David) from Party Services So Cal help out at my wedding this past Sunday. We had bartenders, and a served buffet lunch, but I forgot there is a lot more to hosting a party for 75 people than just having the food out there. I made a last minute decision to get some more help, so the hubs and I wouldn't be running around for ice or restocking the desserts/non-alcoholic drinks. I confirmed the booking on Friday, and didn't remember to call to check in until Sunday (the morning of the event). They just rolled with everything. They were on time, were willing to do all the random stuff we asked, and were always around helping clear stuff out, and doing whatever needed to be done. They cleaned up, and gathered our mass of stuff we brought from home. My friends even dragged them into the photobooth at some point for some group shots because they enjoyed having them around so much. I cannot recommend them enough. I didn't have to worry about anything with them around to make it looked like I had planned it like this all along. Best last minute decision ever. read more

I actually had been too busy to confirm details of services for our wedding and totally slipped in getting all the information requested over to them and ended up letting them know at the very last minute. They are patient, kind, and provide an excellent service. All of our guest were impressed with how personable the staff was. We hired Party So Cal for a Halloween party this past weekend. David was helpful responded immediately to all my many questions. Helped with drink suggestions and what to stock the bar with. I was hesitant after reading the not so flattering reviews. The night of the party Ashley the bartender showed up right on time and on top of the crowd of 55 people. I thought this bartending service was great and so easy to work with for our wedding. The wedding venue we chose uses party services so cal for all of their weddings, so that is how we came to use them but I truly am glad we got to work with them. David was super friendly and responsive. He helped us figure out what alcohol to serve and how much of each, which was absolutely awesome because I had no idea what to get or how to choose how much. He was almost exact on how much alcohol to get so he clearly knows what he is doing. The one thing that came as a surprise to me was that he was not our actual bartender. It was a gentleman named Ivan. I didn't mind Ivan at all, I just was surprised that David had not mentioned in any of his messages that he was sending somebody else. Back to the positive though, Ivan was fantastic. It seemed like all of my guests enjoyed him and he socialized while pouring drinks. Service was fast. I'm so turned off by GYD and David. I recently attended a family event where he provided his service. I picked up a business card and began to do some research on him/company. I have a few events coming up and am looking for options. To my surprise I came across a Facebook posting where David had taken a picture of the my families event and also posted a comment. How unprofessional!! Needless to say I will continue to look for someone else to help with my future events. The last thing I want is for pictures of my events to be posted on his Facebook page with rude comments!! I will be looking for someone to provide a service and not criticize my guest list or take pictures of my event. I feel that my family member paid too much for the level of service he provided.
