The restaurant had a fun black and white tile finish with an old-school diner vibe. They are a counter-service restaurant, so after browsing the menu, I ordered the traditional cod and chips, and my mom got some calamari and coleslaw. We were luckily able to find a seat at the corner booth closest to the front window of the place, as we arrived right before the lunch crowd started rushing in. My cod order was perfectly fried with a crisp outer breaded layer and light flaky layers of fish on the inside. The portion of fish was huge, and the entire filet was nicely and evenly fried, no soggy sections at all. However, the only issue I had was that a good chunk of the fish didn't have much flavor, it all just had a perfect texture. I had to really douse the fish in the lil' cup of tartar sauce to take it to flavor town.
