If I could give this place negative stars I would. The woman working there is so incredibly rude it's almost comical... if it wasn't so frustrating and aggravating. A side bar here -- whenever I read a Yelp review like this, a part of me assumes the person writing the review is just rude themselves and elicits a rude reaction because they're an asshole. You'll have to take me on my word here. I am a friendly, patient, non-patronizing person. The woman who runs this place is SO rude, defensive and aggressive, it was like an SNL skit. Regardless, after an absurd interaction with this woman, I got the car, and it worked fine. So, NBD. Whatever. That was 9 months ago. Then I get an email a few days ago saying they were charging my credit card an additional $100 for a "summons" I got during my trip. "Huh... I don't remember getting a summons," I think to myself. "And it's a little odd to be getting billed for it 9 months after the rental. I'll call the company to ask what it was about." A friendly woman answers. I explain why I'm calling. She asks me which location I rented from. I say Bay Ridge. And she patches me through. Guess who picks up? I explained why I was calling. She replied (rudely) that the charge was because I got a ticket. I asked if she could please tell me any details about the ticket -- where it was from, what it was for. She replied that they just send us the ticket and you have to pay, and THATS THE POLICY THAT WAS IN YOUR AGREEMENT. Okay, that's fine, I said calmly. I just want to know the details of the ticket. If you don't have those details, is there someone I could speak to who would know them? She then put me on hold for 5 min, and then patched me through to a voicemail box that was full. I'm in the process of trying to speak to the manager of the company. I'll see if perhaps I can get some answers from them. I'm not holding my breath. read more

Do NOT rent from this place. I had reserved a car for five days, beginning on 6/2/21. On the phone I made it clear as day that my credit card would cover the collision insurance but that I needed to purchase liability insurance from EZ Rental. The customer service rep assured me that the liability insurance was included in the rate that he quoted me. When I arrived on 6/2 to pick up my car, I was told that they don't sell any insurance at all. There is no way that I would ever drive a car without insurance so the rep told me that I could buy a short-term policy from GEICO or State Farm. She gave me both of those numbers and I was told that the shortest period I could buy for was six months (for $150+) and that the policy wouldn't even go into effect until after my car was returned. I was absolutely furious. I have rented cars from many places and I have NEVER heard of a rental place that doesn't sell liability and collision insurance (who would rent a car without insurance?). Fortunately, I called Enterprise, which was located just one block away. I reserved a car and picked it up in ten minutes. And of course they sold me liability insurance. read more

SCAM, FRAUD! DO NOT RENT HERE!! They posted fake reviews or reviews from other locations but this actual location has only been open a month or so. I rented a vehicle here on Friday, August 23, 2019 to bring my daughter back to college. The initial process was easy, no issues. I went to return the car on Monday, August 26, 2019. They did the usual mileage check, gas check, walk around for damages, everything was good, I paid, got my invoice and left thinking nothing of it. TWO HOURS later, they call claiming I had damaged the rim and wanted to do it through the credit card company. Of course, they thought I would be scare to go through insurance and just say yes and it would have been easy money for them. I had already called GEICO alerting them to the possible fraud that was about to happen and opened my own claim. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND HEADACE! read more

The lady behind the desk jennifer was the most unprofessional piece of work ive ever dealt with. She was rude to me and everyone else who walked in. 2 customers walked out due to her rude attitude. I Had rented a car for 2 days says she smelled smoke and tried to charge me. I dont even smoke but that must be how they make there money. I've been renting cars from this location almost once a month for at least a year now- within the last month this company has gone down the toilet. The woman at the front desk is horribly rude, and clearly undertrained- however I did not come here for that story- when renting a car they charge you a $10 fee bc the car is SUPPOSED to come with an ez pass for tolls. (Which btw- they charge you a $10 fee for the ez pass- but this company still charges you the full amount of the toll, rather than the discounted price you should be charged with the ez pass. So why am I paying a fee when it would be less expensive for myself to just pay the toll at the booth???) Multiple times now the car I've rented has not had a tag and I've been stopped at the toll booth- being forced to pay the full toll amount. The first time this happened I let it slide bc it was only a few dollars- the second time it was the full toll amount. Naturally I called ez rental to ask them to fix this on my bill. I have been calling this company for over 3 WEEKS now and this issue still has not been resolved. I've only gotten through to a manager one time whom promised to call me back and never did. I'm writing this review in hopes that they will finally call me back to resolve this issue. Update: Still have not been contacted-it's been OVER A MONTH and these folks haven't bothered to call back or fix this issue. Their employee suggested I dispute the charge of the entire service on my credit card. I assume this is not the first time they've dealt with this from their employer. read more
