I couldn't see my computer, I couldn't see to drive and I couldn't see to read. The prescription they gave me had a small hole that I could see out of; I felt like a fool trying to find it. Before I left, I told them this and they just said, "you'll have to get used to it". I brought them back and asked for an alternative. They're terrible also. $400 for readers and I still can't see. The guy made them so big they slip off. I can't take off any more time off work to get these straight and apparently I don't have any other options. They didn't give a care to ensure my prescription was right or the fit. Wasted time and MONEY.

This eye doctor in the Waldo neighborhood hit every box: - Communicative - Professional - Friendly - On time - Availability - Efficiency They also offered something during my routine eye exam that I loved; the option to pay $35 extra to skip the dilation and instead use some sort of Star Wars technology to take a picture of the back of your eye. Well worth it for not having to have blurry, weird vision for the rest of the day. I see Dr. Yates, and my oldest comes here now too and looks forward to it. The office is very nice, and there is parking but it can be tight in the little adjacent lot. Nothing but good vibes here, good location, and I never dread my annual trip in. They'll really listen if you have any questions or concerns about anything, and overall this is a slam dunk. We'll go here for life.

That means so much in any kind of medical setting, especially for people like me who get nervous about appointments. He was a great listener and took the time to explain everything in a way I could actually understand without ever making me feel rushed. I was honestly surprised by how much time he spent with me. He even walked me out to the sales floor afterward to look at lenses, showed me some of the current deals, and gave me a quick recommendation. The staff at the front of the store were absolute sweethearts too! My only real downside had nothing to do with the staff or the care I received. There is a lot of construction happening around the front of the building, and when I visited there was no accessible parking or accessible entrance available from that area. The construction obviously is not America's Best's fault, but it has been going on for a while, so I wanted to mention it as a heads-up for anyone who may need accessible parking or entry. Thankfully, the construction mess outside does not reflect the inside at all. Once you walk in, the store is beautiful, clean, and very well kept. Overall, I had a genuinely great experience here and felt very well taken care of.
