As soon as I got there I told them I already have my prescription and I was only there to pick up new frames since they are the only one that carries that brand. Honestly at first i didn't have a good impression of Rachel (long dark hair), but Ray (with short hair) was really the exact opposite, nice and very personable. I figured, well I got no choice since they are the only place I know that carries the frames I want so didn't really care how they treat me. The process didn't go smoothly than I thought because my eye doctor had to release the authorization so Jordan Vision can bill my insurance. The long process actually helped me to get to know Rachel and I ended up liking both ladies. I ordered my glasses Saturday and got them Wednesday BUT there was a problem with how they cut the lenses. I had to return them and they had to redo it because of how they cut the lenses. They were apologetic about it and told me they will replace it but this time they will send it to the lab to make sure there's no screw up this time. Yeah it was annoying because we had to drive all the way from Utah county back and fort but I know it wasn't their fault. Still giving this place a 5 because the ladies here, Ray and Rachel and another more mature lady make this place. They make the customers feel at ease and don't rush them into choosing which frames to get, they have good variations and carry lots of brands. I cannot speak about the doctor since I have my own eye doctor and just here for a pair of glasses and not got eye checkup.

First off, we obtained EyeMed insurance because we were told by this office that they accept EyeMed. We signed up for EyeMed the same day we made the scheduled appointment. Our EyeMed insurance started May 1st which is why we scheduled the appointment for May 1st... Anywho...since we scheduled this appointment a month in advance, we were going in with high-hopes and excited to get a referral for surgery. The day before our appointment, April 30th, my sister got a call from Garrett asking about her insurance. He said he couldn't find her in the system, and asked her if she was sure that she signed up for eye insurance and not dental insurance! DENTAL INSURANCE? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!? The insurance is called EYEMED! This guy is as dumb as a stack of bricks! My sister told me about it, and I called the office and told Garrett that the insurance starts May 1st which is probably why he couldn't find us. He said he would check on it in the morning. Morning came, and my sister got more calls from Garrett asking about her insurance, and he even left me a voicemail asking for my social security #! He said he still couldn't find either one of us. We told him we will work on it when we came into the office. We got to our schedule appointment, and he took our insurance cards for verification. He then called the insurance to verify if it was active. Half an hour passes and he finally finishes his calls. He said their office does not take EyeMed, at least the one we sighed up for! WHY THE FUCK DID THEY TELL US TO SIGN UP FOR EYEMED, AND NOT TELL US THAT IT HAD TO BE A SPECIFIC EYEMED?!? Garrett said we could Google search eye doctors in the area and call them to see if they take our specific EyeMed! At this point, we were completely furious and just walked out as he was still talking. We Googled eye doctors near us, and found one down the street called Healthy Eyes For Life, and we went in and talked to them about their services, and what insurances they accept. They accepted our insurance, so we scheduled their next available appointment on May 10th. They were so helpful and nice, and we felt a lot better working with them instead. While we were scheduling our appointments at Healthy Eyes For Life, I got a call from Dr. Meek at Jordan Vision Clinic and he apologized for not being able to take our insurance. I told him that his staff referred us to EyeMed in the first place, and we had to drive all the way up from Spanish Fork for nothing! We would have loved to be seen by Dr. Meek at Jordan Vision Clinic, but we did not like the way we were treated, and hated the fact that the insurance that they referred us to is not actually accepted at their office.

Dr. Lynn Stromness O.D. made for me the most perfect eyeglasses I have ever had. My vision with…read morethem is 20-15 which is like a hawk or falcon. I am hard to fit because my allergies here in Utah to sage pollen make my eyes vary from day to day. He discovered this and very patiently adjusted the prescription until we had the most perfect fit. Dr. Lynn is a very patient man who is motivated by perfection, and he wanted find the most perfect prescription that would solve all my specific vision problem with my allergies. Of all the optometrists I have ever seen in my life he is most certainly the very best one of them all.

I went to Dr. West after I had some complications with wearing contacts. I had worn contacts for…read moreabout 15 years and really did not want to go back to wearing my glasses. I got a LASIK consultation and Dr. West was so amazing. He explained all of the details of LASIK and answered all of my questions. I decided to go ahead and schedule the procedure, and I couldn't be more happy with my decision. I now have 20/20 vision and had absolutely no complications. I wish I had decided to get LASIK sooner, it is one of the best decisions. Dr. West and Dr. Charelton did an amazing job and were so professional and really care about their patients. I will definitely be going to Dr. West for the rest of my eye exams in the future.

Bonus: I asked if I needed new glasses. He winked, pointed to his showroom of frames and said, "yes! Of course you do! Buy them here! No, I'm just kidding. Your glasses are fine for now." The opticians at Wasatch View Eyecare were the first ones (and I have been to multiple optical shops), to understand what I was going thru and who offered me hope. They made me some wonderful glasses which I am tolerating very well. I have been searching for over a year for a good optical shop and have finally found it. I am SO grateful to them!

Dr. Whetten was very friendly and thorough. He listened to me intently, and answered all of my questions. I ordered the cutest pair of eyeglasses that I can't wait to receive. And I didn't realize until after my Alpine Vision Center visit, other places are very high pressure and pushy. I felt none of that here. Everyone was thorough and informative with me, without making me feel pressured to do or buy anything. Will definitely tell my friends and family to go to Alpine Vision Center.

The first pair of glasses came after 2 weeks. The second pair has still not come as of June 14, 2024. A couple of weeks ago i stopped by after being told the other pair was in. When I got there they said they had made a mistake and the other pair wasn't in. They told me they'd reach out again when they came in. Last Friday I called during business hours and no-one answered. I stopped by on my way to work and there was a sign saying they were closed for training. I called on Monday and nobody answered during business hours. I stopped by again and was told that they would reach out to the company and call me on Tuesday. Did they call? Nope. I tried calling again on Thursday and surprise, no answer. I stopped by again. I was not happy and let the lady at the front desk know it. Instead of apologizing, she said, "As you can see we are quite busy and have a lot of customers here in the office." They are going to have one less customer to deal with. They actually sent me a message this morning, via text, telling me to reach out to my safety supervisor to see what's going on with my order. That front desk person has no business being in front of customers with her attitude. They are greedy and pushy and have been for years. I did the math and it turned out if I took off work again to go elsewhere I miss out on just as much money as having the extra service. You said you'd mail them to him!?? He's out of state. So, another week delay he finally got them. Fast forward six months, I go in and order glasses for me and contacts for another sight-challenged son. Glasses will take two weeks. You'll get the contacts in a week. Phone call comes in to get my glasses. What about the contacts? I haven't seen them. "Oh. I'll check on them and let you know." No call or text back. I go in to get my glasses and am told there was a back order. Funny. A week later the contacts arrive. I go to submit the rebate and notice the order was placed AFTER I got the call my glasses were in. How hard is it to order contacts? Strike two! I think I'll bow out before I let them pitch me my third strike.
