I scheduled a routine eye exam 2 months ago. Came in "on time" and over an hour later, I'm still sitting waiting to be seen. I think they might have over scheduled. What bugs me is if I was running 15 minutes late, they'd want me to reschedule. But when they're knowingly running this far behind with their appointments, why not offer your client(s) the same opportunity? I just don't have an hour and a half to dedicate to an eye exam. The exam before this one was awkward too as it was a virtual visit and they hadn't quite worked out all the kinks yet. Just not filling it here anymore. So sad.

Never got any contacts. And now they say I have to come get another checkup to determine my prescription again before I can get contacts. Then argued with me about their policy and how I should have gotten them even though I didn't. Never ever go here!!

BUT.. their staff responsible for ordering glasses, tracking them... are HORRID. my husband ordered his glasses .... in the 7 weeks it took them to get us his glasses... we got 5 different stories on status.. 1. They have been shipped.. they will be here by Monday. 2. I dont see the order, (hold for like 4 min)... found it... they will be here at end of this week .... I think you get the picture... it was a problem at the lab.. but instead of just TELLING us that... they kept lying or telling stories on it. We give them another chance... I go in, order glasses after exam.... specifically talk about Transition lenses, what my insurance will cover. The person helping when filling out order picks a 'package'... I asked again to be sure it has Transition lenses.. she says yes.. when she asks to sign and I dont see a breakout on what the package has.. I ask again... she says its in the package. We pay... they called in reasonable amount of time, glasses are there... but guess what??? They are NOT Transition lenses.. I call, explain the issue... but she never ever put Transition on there... They now want to 'reorder' new glasses... which of course i pay ANOTHER co-pay for...

I…read morewanted prescription safety glasses for my work and my work only went through Alameda and since my records had been moved there, why not? My first negative was that, even though my old eye exam was less than a year old, Alameda couldn't find the records from my old Dr. Okay, new exam, no big issue. But I did notice that the personalized service I had with my old Dr (Eye Doc Greg) was missing. The desk staff treated me more like an inconvenience and the Doctor (don't remember his name) wasn't interested in listening to me about my eye care needs, basically just get me in and out. Fast forward to now. My wife had set up appointments for both her and my son for February 10th and 24th respectively back in December. She broke her leg at the beginning of January and so, when she received the confirmation text about those appointments she said "no" thinking she'd reschedule later. Today, we received two $25 charges for not showing for those appointments. I never saw those texts but what was the point of saying no if you'd be charged anyway. I'll let her call them, but I'll never go there again. Looks like they just churn through patients with out really caring about them and make their money without mine.
