I have been coming here for as long as I have had glasses, many years. I have even started taking my son over the past 2-3 years as he needs glasses too. This year I switched providers as I felt my concerns weren't being listed to by Dr. Strongwater anymore. My son decided he wants to stay, so I called in to make an appointment for him. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. I have noticed a bit of rudeness over the past few visits, but nothing like this. Safe to say I feel a bit better that I changed providers this year. read more

Love the doc here! Ty helped me thankfully because I cant make a decision. The other staff members offered their opinions as well. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot! read more

Recently purchased safety glass, was told it will take two week, ended up being seven weeks later when I received my 1st order. Then I had issue with the glasses I received, reordered new one they said it will be ready in two weeks, ended up been seven weeks again. Went to pick up new pair and still having issue with that pair, I tell the manager it's looks like I'm looking out of coke bottle and I feel nauseous but he then tells me to just take that pair! Over all disappoint with the service!! read more

I had a great experience here! The staff was professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. There were so many frames to choose from and the opticians actually helped me pick one out. Dr. Strongwater was very thorough and personable. Definitely going back next year for me exam and glasses. read more

I don't know how this place stays in business. The people are very rude, no prices, they make them up as they go. If it wasn't for them taking our insurance for the kids I would never step foot in there again. We had 3 appointments 12:00, 12:15, 12:30. We arrived 5 mins late due to traffic and they would only see 2 kids. Instead of telling us to come in 15 minutes early, they made us fill out the paperwork for all 3 at the same time. This took almost 15 minutes! They would not take anyone back until the paperwork was done My son has been there before, why do we have to fill it out again. Needless to say, they only saw 2 of our 3 kids. It wasn't our fault that they have incompentent people working there. No reminder call, no notice to come in early. Now we need to make another appointment. After the 2 kids got checked, then we had to pick frames. No prices on anything!!! We were told that we would be charged the "wholesale" prices. I guess that's the agreement with the insurance company. I'm sure these people work on commission and they make up the prices as they go along. Not a good experience and avoid them at all costs! read more

Individually, the people seem very nice. But organizationally, I've never dealt with a company that is so inept and incompetent. They never follow up, no one seems to know the status of anything, they miscut lenses, then ordered two rights instead of a right and left, and then failed to re-order them for the third try. I discovered that after calling 7 business days later to check. After giving up on them, I asked for a refund and they said they'd mail a check. NO! I said to remove the charge from my credit card which they DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DO???!! When they figured it out and did it... you guessed it, a week later and the credit still has not appeared! Total time elapsed January 31 through March 30 and I have to call them today again. Brutally bad. read more

I have been meaning to write an update but haven't had a chance until now. Owner contacted me and offered to reimburse me for my purchase, "check is going out in the mail today"...almost 4 months later nothing...I told them I didn't want to deal with the manager at the Whitehall store so what happened the manager from the Whitehall store called me and I had to tell her I didn't want to talk to her....told that insurance delayed glasses 3 weeks or more...I don't think so...Went to Visionworks on Airport Road had glasses in 5 days. Everything Eyeland did wrong they did right! Oh they did offer me a free pair of prescriptions sunglasses..said ABSOLUTELY NOT! Eyeland was HORRIBLE stay away... read more

It was years ago that I went here. First of all the doctor was really rude. I could just tell he wanted me out the door asap so he could misdiagnose the next person's eyesight for money as well. Second I ended up with glasses that weren't quite the correct prescription. Definitely won't return. read more

Had an eye exam and bought 2 pairs of glasses. the doctor was great. The staff spent alot of time working with me to pick out the perfect frames. They also moved to a new location which is bright and modern! Definitely will recommend friends. read more

The staff are rude and never seem to have any answers to simple questions. The eye doctor seems to be more concerned about eating her lunch than attending patients. When I was in there for an appointment, the doctor was complaining about patients "arriving late" meanwhile no one was actually late and eating her lunch was her main concern. The staff will have you stand there and wait for them to search for your glasses, and come back in ten minutes asking what your name was again... it's pathetic. read more

I don't know why I keep going back to this place... there is really nothing much to choose from.. service is terrible... the girl just pointed to the glasses on the wall and said these are your choices.... and I just called to check the status of my order for new glasses... still not in... they claim it was due to the thanksgiving holiday..even though I was there a week before the holiday..so now it's been 2 weeks since, and still no glasses. this will be my last time going... read more

What a horrible unprofessional business. Needed safety glasses. Had the exam and paid extra for progressives.  He explained they have the lenses made in another state snd when they come Eyeland then cuts them to the frame I picked. He said about 2 weeks. 2 weeks come I get the phone call to pick them up. Went there to pick them up and the guy could not get up off his chair because he had a sleeping cat on his lap and did not want to disturb it. Finally he got a female to get my glasses. Put them on and I thought my eyes were crossed. I could not wear them unless I tilted one side of them about halfway up one side of my head. He looked at them careful not to wake the sleeping cat on his lap and said they, where the lens were made cut and installed them wrong. I said you told me you cut and install the lenses here.... Only a dumb look now on his face.. I will expedite these for you. It's now 6 weeks and no glasses. I call them today, Thursday, and get a message they are closed but the phone message also tells me hours for Thursday are 8.30 am until 8.00 pm. FIRST AND LAST TIME....... read more

At my last eye exam I asked to try Air Optix Colors. I was told they did not make them in negative powers at that time and it was being worked on. This year I asked again for the Air Optix and was told they did not exist in negative powers. The person even confirmed this information with another employee. I found this hard to believe given the an entire year had passed. I went to a different eye care provider and they were able to fill my prescription for negative power Air Optix colors in two days. It is scary that these eye care "professionals" do not even know their products and are not giving patients accurate information. While most of the people seem nice, they were always highly unorganized and this last incident makes me question the competence of their ability. We only get one set of eyes!!! read more

well it all seemed good and fine got my glasses and within 2 weeks the right lens became loose, i work out of state, so the next time i was home i dropped them off, they said oh yes we can have them fixed, so a month and a half went by before i returned home again ......went to pick up my glasses which they handed to me and said " all fixed " and they were exactly the same as they were when i dropped them off a month and a half ago.....right lens still wobbling around.....i immediately showed them they they hadn't been fixed, and again they would have to send them off to get fixed, now another month has gone by and i am currently sitting on hold ....two different people have picked up asked me my name, and then put me back on hold, still no word if they have been fixed or not.....the guy who works there looked like he was stoned out of his mind last time i went in there and now he just answered the phone again, and told me that the ticket never went in so he would have to expedite getting me new glasses. unbelievable ......2.5 months later and i am still waiting to get my glasses back. read more
