The reviews on Yelp and on Google are 100% true about the customer service. The receptionist all but rolled her eyes at me asking any type of questions and even me trying to give her my insurance card resulted in attitude. Wanted some prescription sunglasses, but had an old prescription, so made an appointment for an eye exam here. Everyone was friendly and efficient, but when it came time to order the glasses, Matt really shined. He was friendly, knowledgeable and informative! He made all the choices clear and easy (lens, coatings, materials, etc.). This was late Saturday afternoon, and I picked my glasses up Monday afternoon. I really LOVE my new sunglasses! Update: After 3 eye exams and 5 trips, I asked them to simply copy my current lenses. Both the doc and sales reps confirmed the rx was copied perfectly. Trip #6 to pick them up? Still wrong. All in all, I've made 6 trips (6 hours total of driving a half hour each way), had three eye exams, still don't have glasses or an accurate rx I can use elsewhere, and am out $80 for the nonrefundable exam. Can't not recommend avoiding this place highly enough. read more

No!! He'll no!!! This place is sorry and unprofessional!!! They advertise they get your glasses done in an hour or less, I have been waiting for over a week for my glasses. I picked a pair of frames from there clearance rack and when I was told they would be ready the next day, and when the next day came I was told they lost my glasses? So on that Saturday I returned to pick out another pair, but not from the clearance rack cause they were not good looking like the ones I had picked and they got sold by an unprofessional business who told me they got lost?? I was told I can pick a new pair of frames from there island and I picked a beautiful blue pair of frames that were a hundred dollar pair of frames, but was told it's ok they would cover the difference. I was told that the glasses would be ready on Monday the 18th of August. I returned on Monday to pick up my glasses and was greeted by the supervisor Cassandra who had me sit down and that my glasses were done,when Cassandra presented the glasses to me they were not the glasses I picked on that Saturday before!! Cassandra told me that these are the frames they lost, but there liars they got sold!! I told Cassandra these are not the frames I originally picked from the clearance rack!! Where are the blue frames i picked on Saturday?? I will never take my business to eye glasse world again!!! read more

over-promise and under-deliver central. Saturday I was told the glasses would be ready Monday. Monday I was told I was first in line and would definitely be ready Tuesday. Tuesday I was told sorry we're really backed up. well sorry people really backed up is not my problem, it's your. 4 years going there. spent probably $5000. I won't be back. Incredibly disappointed. I am a senior and brought a pair of Dior glasses my daughter gave me. I had had a recent exam by their doctor who updated my progressive lenses. Ultimately I was charged OVER $250 per lens with NO guarentee the they would be returned in usable shape. When I came to pick up the glasses they did not have me try them on for fit or adjust the nose pieces etc. I was simply handed a pair of glasses. I have used Eye world in the past, but will never go back to them again. My prescription has been deemed to be inappropriately placed on top of everything else. They clearly do not want to provide any service unless it is related to their products. My plan was to come back for a pair of glasses and sunglasses from Eyeworld itself. I went to this location after the one at Wyoming. Its more "organized" and smaller. I was in and out purchasing glasses

You go get your glasses but upsell u to get contacts done by there doctor. The doctor says your glasses (which u just had filled) are wrong and write a new RX. They do a follow up cause of the contacts. Then second new doctor say contacts are wrong and the second pair of glasses u just had filled are wrong. So you wear your third pair of glasses and can't see anything and it's in the 30 days. You treated like a child and "This is the last time I am doing this for you." You try to explain what they had you go through but don't care. Cold stare in the eyes. This is from the manager. read more

It is an understatement to say that my experience with Eyeglass World was unpleasant/unprofessional. I made my initial appt as a new patient on 7/18/24. I got an eye exam and decided to get new lenses only for both my glasses and sunglasses. When the lenses came in, I tried them on and my glasses were blurry and I was seeing double out of my sunglasses. The lady that was helping me said that the axis was off on one of the lenses for my regular glasses. I don't exactly know what that means but she thought it was the reason for the blurriness. She said the technician cut them incorrectly. Why would she then proceed to give me these lenses?? She told me that the reason the sunglasses didn't work was because they were too big for me, even though I'd been wearing them for a few years already with my previous prescription. She told me they were going to remake both pairs lenses and she was going to have her supervisor call me when she got there that day. I asked if I could have my other lenses back to wear in the mean time since it would take 10 business days. She said they throw them away if we don't request to keep them. Thank God I had an old pair of glasses or I honestly don't know what I would have done. Of course I had terrible headaches from wear an old prescription. So I got a call later that day from the supervisor and she proceeded to tell me that my sunglasses were broken and that I needed to pick out a new pair. That was very confusing because I had just tried them on and they were not broken by any means. She didn't have any explanation for this. She said I could come in a pick a new pair to get made and they would cover the price but that I could only pick frames under $99. This gives me about 2 or 3 choices in the sunglass section and a few regular frames that she said I could use. I had very nice designer name brand sunglasses that I definitely paid more than $99 for. I was beside myself at this point, feeling like I was in the twilight zone. So the newly made glasses come in first and they were just as blurry as they were before. They told me to just try and wear them for a day at least to see if I got used to them?? I was getting nauseous headaches after a few hours of wearing them. Also, the anti reflective coating I paid for was not even on these lenses and they were VERY thick. The sunglasses came in a few days later and they were still blurry. The trust in the ability of these people to produce a product that is acceptable at this point is completely gone. The manager happened to be there that day and she wanted to talk to me. I interpreted the way she was talking that she was embarrassed by the actions of her incompetent staff, even though she didn't come right out and say that. She said I needed to get another exam scheduled, and I'm guessing thats what should have happened in the beginning instead of reordering both lenses. I scheduled the appt. It's now been a month since I began this journey. I get a call a few days later saying they have to cancel my appt due to an "emergency" so I rescheduled for yet another week later. When I finally had my recheck appt, the doctor was less than thrilled to see me. He was cold, didn't really care about the issues I was telling him about, and just generally unfriendly. He told me the first prescription was too strong. I was told by staff that they would redo one pair of lenses at a time. I got my glasses in and they were fine. I gave them my sunglasses and those came in just yesterday on 9/4/24. So this ridiculous series of events lasted from July 17-Sept 4, leaving me wearing a very old prescription pair of glasses and having no sunglasses. Not to mention the 20 min. out of the way drive I had to make 8 different times to Eyeglass World. I suffered many days with terrible headaches. This is by far the most terrible experience in getting new glasses Ive ever had. It might be the most terrible customer service experience in general. read more
