I highly recommend you check this office out if you need an eye exam, contacts or glasses.

This year I said maybe I'll order my glasses here also, usually I go to Costco. When I started to look the lady came over and asked if I needed help. I told her yes and she asked about my insurance. The young man that just did my vision payment brought her my insurance sheet she glanced and said you have "Spectera, that is not good insurance ". That just made me say to myself, okay can't get classes here. She continued to say my insurance is very bad, her words. I was looking at Oakley frames and she said your insurance will not cover Oakley, you have spectera. I told her I have had the same insurance for years and didn't know it was bad and I guess I am going back to Costco. I asked her are you sure my insurance is that bad. She said, yes, spectera does not cover many things. At Costco the guy said my insurance covers a lot of things why she would say it was bad he did not know. I will continue to go here for exam but will always go somewhere else to get glasses and contacts

I went for my annual checkup for contacts and was given a free sample of contact lens solution. Dr Chavez showed me 2 different ones and I told her as long as it's for sensitive eyes. That evening I took my contacts out and was out of my multi purpose solution so I used the one Dr Chavez just gave me. It had a weird basket case but thought that was something new. I'm 64 and have worn soft contacts for over 30 years. The next morning when I put my contacts on my eyes they burned so bad I could not hardly remove my contacts. I thought maybe I had left hand soap on hands. I bought saline and flushed my eyes all weekend. I couldn't wear my contacts and my eyes looked they were on fire. On Monday morning I made a Doctor appointment with my primary and mentioned it to my mother who was with me at the contact lens appointment. When I told my mom what happened she told me it was the complementary solution they gave me. I told her what do you mean and she said Dr Chavez gave her the same one. It had hydrogen peroxide in it. She used to wear hard contacts and she said it was for cleaning lenses not a multipurpose solution like they usually give me. I was shocked this happened with an Eye Doctor I trusted. Really you say you have sensitive eyes and they give you "Clear Care Plus" 3% hydrogen peroxide! I called the doctor's office and was told didn't you notice the red cap? I've never in 30 years been given or told about a red cap. Dr Chavez called me and accused me of telling her I've used this solution before. My mom confirmed that I said I need sensitive eyes assuming I was being given a multi purpose solution like I've been given for the last 30 years. Yes I should have read the bottle but my mistake I thought I had a Doctor I could trust, knew my history and would apologize for the error and miscommunication! Update! Given the response they sent me, I guess you can't even trust what your eye doctor gives you if you have to read it, that's very scary! You think my chart would say what solution I use.

When my longtime optometrist retired, a friend suggested I give Viking Vision a try. Looking back,…read moremy only question is: what took me so long? Over the years, I've learned a few things about Dr. Dennis Keyhoe. First, call him Dennis. Second, he's a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan. Third, and most importantly, the team he has built at Viking Vision feels more like family than a medical office. From the moment you walk in, you're treated with professionalism, respect, and genuine friendliness. The entire staff does an excellent job of making patients feel welcome and comfortable. They're knowledgeable, efficient, and clearly enjoy what they do. Dennis is also great at connecting with people. If you follow Viking Vision on Facebook, you've probably seen his personality shine through. As engaging as he is online, he's even better in person. He has a knack for making an eye appointment feel less like a chore and more like catching up with an old friend. You don't need to be a Vikings fan to appreciate Viking Vision. Just be prepared for some quick 20/20 wit, exceptional eye care, and the possibility of gaining a lifelong friend along the way.

They all work hard + they stay human. A real joy to interact with them, both in person and on the phone. Dr Kniffen is a superstar. Superbly professional, efficient, friendly, and great at walking me through an eye exam, with help from the staff, + she's super clear at explaining things, or adjusting the prescription in any way if needed. Special shoutout for her and her staff's -additional- medical exam of my eyes, with state-of-the-art equipment. This matters to me a lot; a few years ago my retina tore; i need a follow-up exam every year. MD sent me to Eye Associates, where i got a good retina exam but a poor eyeglasses prescription - Casey Optical was a much better experience - and i set the appointment with them directly without my MD staff making things complicated or the chaos i went through at Eye Associates! And stay away from Stanton! Have heard many horror stories about them from several other people! Stanton has lots of upselling & price gouging + poor customer service! Dr. Kniffen showed me a large photo of my affected eye + the retinal tear and repair. The repair is still intact (which was done with lasers 4 years ago). If it hadn't been, she would have referred me to a retina specialist (or ER). So much easier & more supportive than complicated struggles i've had with MD office to get retina specialist annual checkups. Instead of bureaucracy and obstacles - great care and service at Casey Optical's comfortable office + professionalism. Not exaggerating - my experience really has been this good - including the new eyeglasses fitting just 2 weeks later!
