For the past 20+ years, I have fought many fires and attempted to save many lives. In all that time, I've worn contacts and glasses. Today, I feel like a brand new person. Thank you Dr. Coleman for saving my life. Anyone that is contemplating getting LASIK should get it done at Coleman Vision. The staff is very helpful and make you feel comfortable throughout the entire process. During the procedure, Dr. Coleman ensures your safety and is very caring and encouraging. In just a matter of minutes, voila!! This has to be one of the best investments I've ever spent. Fire Chief Manny Garcia (Ret.) Belen Fire Department

One day after surgery, I can see 20/20 thanks to Dr. Coleman!

How do you write a review about the place that gave you 20/20 vision? I'm so grateful, so excited, and so ready to see the world with my incredible vision now. Dr. Coleman and his staff made this experience so wonderful and really cared about what was best for me. The surgery was quick and painless, and the next day I woke up able to see better than I've ever been to before. The entire team at Coleman vision is friendly, welcoming, and willing to work with you to make you feel comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a change in their eyesight, you can go in for a free consultation and just see if you are a candidate for lasik and they will help you move forward. Lasik has changed my life, and I can't wait to have so much more freedom in the future. Thank you Dr. Coleman, I can see!

I had a consultation years ago with another doctor and found out at that time I was not a candidate for lasik.

Based on one initial visit …read more.. It took 3 months to get in to see Dr. Adams and I waited patiently. His practice seems to be quite busy but my impression all around was good. I arrived early, completed my medical history, and was directly escorted to an exam room. A tech did initial tests while audio transcribing results = efficiency. My eyes were dilated and I was asked to wait for the doc. He popped in after a few minutes to say "sorry for the wait, I will be with you shortly". That was considerate. His exam was a bit brief but he confirmed that I need cataract surgery. He provided me with some literature to read and provided a recommendation to another DO for a surgery consult. He even asked the receptionist to call and make the appt for me. My appt is in 1 week. My only slight disappointment was learning from Dr. Adams that he no longer does cataract surgery himself. I will consider Dr. Adams for future eye exams.

At 12:15, as everyone was leaving for lunch, I began asking anyone who wandered by if they had forgotten me. My doctor finally put me in a room, saw the person ahead of me and then spent maybe 15 minutes with me. Total time 2 1/2 hours in a very cramped, uncomfortable waiting area with dozens of other people. I feel very disrespected; I am currently looking to transfer my records to another practice that is not quite as busy, oh, I mean greedy.

Not very HIPPA protected. At 9:26, I asked why I had not been called. But since I had pre-registered, there was no need for them to call. I was told I would be called from a certain area, so I moved to that area. I heard my first name and walked back to the other side but they took another person worth the same first name. I returned back to waiting area. Then asked again, when will I be called. There's still one ahead of you. This was now 10, at 10:30 I asked again. I was told I was waiting for a Technician. About 11, I was finally called. 2 tests done, wait, then another Tech comes, takes me to another room for a couple more tests. I told him how long I was waiting. He informed me that, there was a confusion with my name and someone got my spot. This would mean that the other person with the same name was not asked their last name to confirm treating correct patient. When they realized they has wrong person they didn't correct it. This is really unprofessional when they could have treated each one of us inaccurately I don't know what they came for they don't know what I was there for. This is not how Medical Practice should be handled in any form. By the time I saw the doctor and left it was after 12:00 my appointment 9:00 that is ridiculous.

When I called to make my appointment for a contact lens exam, I specifically double checked with them to make sure they took the insurance listed on their website, which I enrolled in specifically so I could see them; they assured me they did. I showed up and the receptionist kept telling me that my visit was just for a contact lens fitting, and I kept explaining that I needed a vision exam and prescription. She seemed utterly confused by this and kept saying my appointment was for a fitting only (which if you're a contact wearer, you understand makes no sense). I finally got her to confirm that I would be getting a prescription by the time I left. When I gave her my vision insurance card, she couldn't locate me in the system and then asked if I had a discount plan. I told her there were no plans labeled as discount on the insurer's site, so I wasn't sure, and she said they don't take that insurer's discount plans. By then I was called into my appointment, only to be told that they don't carry the type of contacts I wear and the only comparable brand was out of stock, so they could order some and I could come back for an exam, but not for a few weeks. I left without getting a new prescription, which I desperately needed. I hope they start clarifying their insurance plans for patients when appointments are made and inquiring about what kind of contacts people wear if their office doesn't stock commonly used brands. Complete waste of my time and then I had to scramble to find another optometrist who could see me right away. (I did find a same-day appointment at Eyeglass World on Eubank and had a quick, painless appointment, and my insurance covered a portion of the contact lens fitting fee, which was only $50 before insurance compared to the $160 quoted at Eye Associates).

I have not had my procedure yet because it has now been rescheduled twice…read more I called the national call center to confirm the appointment for my procedure. I had been told by the call center that I needed an additional consultation because the initial consultation did not include dilation. (Side note: Having a national call center is VERY messy and disorganized, and it should be easier to simply call the office directly. This was my first annoyance.) I then asked to speak directly with someone at the Albuquerque office, who confirmed for me that I did NOT need a second consultation, and he proceeded to schedule me for my procedure. I asked multiple times if this was in fact for my procedure and not a consultation. He assured me that yes, I would be having my procedure. I was called the day before telling me the surgeon had "scheduling conflicts". I was rescheduled for a week later (today). I arrive today and am told by the receptionist that I am scheduled for a consultation and that the surgeon is not in today, even though she is able to read the notes left by the other gentleman that originally scheduled me - notes that emphasize that I had called to confirm that this appointment would be my PROCEDURE, not consultation. I am now rescheduled for two weeks from now. I wish I could come in sooner, but I cannot move around my schedule AGAIN to accommodate their limited availability to be able to come in next week. I was so excited for today. Altogether I am so disappointed, and this experience has left an incredibly bad impression. It is beyond frustrating to have cleared my schedule for this procedure TWICE now already. I am very lucky that my job affords some flexibility, but had I been in my previous position, this would have been two days in which I would have requested PTO and been deducted those hours because of this office's inability to just double check their scheduling. I do not want to go through the hassle of another consultation elsewhere but I am very, very reluctant to keep my appointment with this office. I will be looking into other options and will not recommend this office to anyone.
