It is no small task making the decision to trust your eye sight to a stranger, Dr. Coleman made the choice easy. I could no longer tolerate glasses or contacts so I decided to contact Dr. Coleman's office. He was the first and only Dr. I was told to consult with for my Lasik procedure. My husband had his Lasik procedure conducted a few years ago and the results were amazing. Let me begin with the consultation, the ambiance of the office envelopes you and assures you that you are not simply another eye exam. Although they did extensive testing on my eyes it was not a nuisance. Dr. Coleman and his staff are very friendly, welcoming, professional and comforting. Once the testing was complete, Dr. Coleman let me know I was a candidate for Lasik and assured me he would "take good care of me". The day of my procedure I was extremely nervous, Dr. Coleman's staff made sure I was comfortable, and reassured me I had nothing to worry about. The staff constantly checked on me and even provided me with a warm blanket to keep me warm and provide a sense of coziness. Dr. Coleman made sure I was doing ok and assured me once again I had nothing to worry about and he would take great care of me. Once, I was called back, Dr. Coleman and his staff work efficiently and effectively as teams as the procedure took only a few minutes. I can honestly say throughout the entire procedure I had no discomfort at all. I was amazed how fast and painless the procedure was and felt rather silly after, being so scared and hesitant to get the procedure completed. Once the procedure was done, I went home and slept for the remainder of the day. I woke up that evening my vision was blurry but I could already see perfect. My vision prior to the procedure was horrible, I could not see at all. The next day I woke up to clear perfect vision! Dr. Coleman and his staff are great: professionals. I was a little nervous about the whole thing, especially because I'm single and didn't have a wife or girlfriend to be with me, but it didn't take long for that feeling to go away. All of the women in the office have a sort of motherly characteristic to them that made me feel comfortable. Dr. Coleman addressed all concerns that I had before and after the surgery. Moreover, during the surgery Dr. Coleman constantly walked me through what he was doing and what I should be feeling which helped me feel very calm. I remember saying, "thank you for talking to me during the surgery. It made me feel better". He responded with, "thank you for listening". My vision was great immediately after the surgery, but my vision seems to be getting even better with every passing day, and my smile even bigger. In fact, sometimes I just start laughing because I am so happy. This might sound strange, but I kind of feel like going back to the office just to visit Dr. Coleman and all of the wonderful women working in the office. They were all involved in a very important and pivotal moment in my life, and I am so thankful to all of them. The day following the surgery, I returned to Dr. Coleman's office so that he could take another look at my eyes. When I walked through the door, one of his assistants asked me how I was feeling, and I said, "I feel like I just came out of my mom!" She looked and me strange and then kind of smiled. You see,...I'm the kind of person that was built without a filter. I recently had my surgery at Coleman Vision this past Friday, April 26, 2013. I have never been nervous going into any kind of surgery, but this time I was because I knew I was going to be awake for it. Upon arriving at the office, we (me and my fiance) were immediately greeted and very well accomadated by Dr. Coleman's staff. They answered any questions we had, they were VERY friendly, they offered us drinks, and above all, they were all GENIUINE. I was nervous up until the time of the actual procedure, and it was Dr. Coleman and his staff that were the ones who calmed me down. He talked to me throughout the surgery and really made me feel calm. There was no pain at all! I wouldn't have had my experience any other way! I really feel like I was in the best of hands...and with eye surgery, you want to feel just that way! Dr Coleman provided the best preparation and care. I was critical of the process and consulted with a recent, former patient who had Dr Coleman perform the procedure. She explained that her concerns, fears and expectations were answered in a thoughtful and appropriate manner and that, after interviewing several doctors, she chose Dr Coleman because of the time and care he (and his staff) took in addressing he issues. I also talked with my friend after the procedure and I heard the same positive remarks. That's when I decided to make my appointment for consultation.
