Two bad experiences in a row by two different technicians of the practice left me wondering if the…read moretechnicians were properly trained. Compound it with long waiting lines (some over an hour wait), crowded waiting rooms, and a staff with attitudes made me rethink my treatment. I requested a referral to Eye associates. In February of 2026, I went for an eye injection to dry up some liquid that had spilled into my eye when a small eye vein popped causing loss of vision. This procedure requires the eye being numbed so the injection does not hurt. The technician performing the prepping of my eye gave me two doses of numbing drops. Normally the third numbing drop is given a couple of minutes before the doctor actually injects the eye. The doctor was already injecting my eye when the technician reached over the doctor's shoulder to drop the third numbing drop. My eye hurt and kept hurting for a couple of days. This procedure is a series of injections, once a month, which started last year around May/June. It is not supposed to hurt if numbed properly. Then on March 23rd, I went for an eye exam that required injecting a colored dye into my arm while a technician followed the blood flow on computer. After four unsuccessful attempts, by a technician, to inject the dye into my arm, I stopped the test. The technician drawing blood was either not a trained phlebotomist or she lacked the experience required for proper drawing of blood. It hurt every time she stuck the needle into my arm only to fail to find a vein. Are these people even certified in their job?

However, after repeatedly trying to resolve the erroneous charge, they finally agreed to waive it--only to continue sending me bills for the free consultation. If they cannot manage something as simple as honoring a free consultation, I cannot trust them with a $16,000 procedure. As a result, they have lost a patient.

The young man that just did my vision payment brought her my insurance sheet she glanced and said you have "Spectera, that is not good insurance ". That just made me say to myself, okay can't get classes here. She continued to say my insurance is very bad, her words. I was looking at Oakley frames and she said your insurance will not cover Oakley, you have spectera. I told her I have had the same insurance for years and didn't know it was bad and I guess I am going back to Costco. I asked her are you sure my insurance is that bad. She said, yes, spectera does not cover many things. At Costco the guy said my insurance covers a lot of things why she would say it was bad he did not know. I would suggest him to anyone and if you pay out of Pocket as we did as our Insurance is there but hasn't been set up yet, it's wasn't expensive at all. The Office Manager Nick is thorough with Insurance (and we all know Insurance is complicated). He's really good on the phone and setting up appointments and answering questions. We plan to go in and get glasses once our Insurance is properly set up by Employer. Dr Babbington Senior is very part time and his Son is there all the time. He worked with his Dad growing up in the Practice then came in as a Doctor so he knows his stuff. I highly recommend them. I also appreciated the mask wearing and cleaning during this time.
