The owner of the location sold me an expensive pair of glasses for my 5 year old's son first pair. I was nervous about the price but wanted my son to feel confident in his first pair. What made me more comfortable is that the owner reassured me that broken frames were able to be replaced up to a year, I signed to this in triplicate and I have my copy. I called to see what I needed to do to replace them and was put on hold by Tommy and no one ever came back, so I drove in to the store. First, I was told those frames were out of stock and they could only replace the exact same style AND color. Then Tommy he would call and see what Ray Ban would want to do. I got a call later that afternoon that they could replace the frames (that were previously out of stock that morning) for a $50 copay. I told him I was told replacement was completely covered and that my form I signed did not reflect any copay. He told me their copy said $50 and would not email me the signature for proof. He was EXTREMELY rude. I would not have ever bought those frames had I been told about the $50 replacement fee. I asked IF I signed to that effect why it wasn't on my copy. He said they wouldn't send that with me. My issue is that is the entire purpose for the use of triplicate forms. I was told I had to talk to the owner and he was on vacation until Friday and couldn't be bothered to deal with this situation (where in my kids doesn't have eyes). I was told I would get a call on Friday, I called around 4pm and was told "Well the day isn't over yet, he will call you by the end of the day," by Tommy. Today is now Saturday and I called again at 4pm and was told they have been to busy to contact me. This is an unacceptable way to do business. After I went back in and I conceded and was going to pay the $49 Tommy wouldn't help me. I was recording and when I stopped recording he said, "Go ahead and call me a nigger, I know I am." I was so upset. He told me to go home and take my pills. He wouldn't let me talk. I have never called a black person a Nigger in my life and I never thought that. I did think he was a male narcissist that just wouldn't help me and had some of the worst customer service skills I have ever experienced. I also did think he didn't want to help me because I was a white woman and then he made that comment and confirmed it was racially motivated and that is what he think all white people are like. Worst experience ever! They could not get my prescription correct. Saw 2 doctors, both told me I need glasses for distances. Got 3 different lenses. None were correct. I got another option somewhere else. I don't need glasses for distances only for computer! Disrespected within a minute of being there. Told me i needed to wear a mask and that they would sell me one for $2. Told them I would be buying a pair and that they should just give me one because the mask mandate is not a law, just that store's individual policy. The owner then demanded that I either put a mask on or get out of the store so I went out to my car and got a mask and politely complied. After this I went back in and purchased a pair of glasses and everything else went pretty smoothly, but when it came time to having to wait an hour to pick them up I decided to go run some errands and came back about 30 minutes later just to see if they might have finished them early, but the owner told me in a very condescending manner that "I said hour,not 30 minutes!" then he asked me in a very disrespectful tone if I was going to be 'waiting the hour, or what?'. I eventually did get my glasses and everything was fine with them but the absolute disrespect and tone of voice that the manager had for someone who was willing to come in and spend $600 on a pair of glasses was simply outrageous. I've been using this optician service for three years and they have been wonderful. Every time I come in, they treat me like family and I get great service. Their prices are very fair, and they always give you extra stuff to go along with your exam/purchase (contact solution, lens cases, etc.) Tommy is a great rep for the store, and goes out of his way to talk to you and make you feel welcome. Compared to Target, Pearl Vision, Eye Masters, this store takes the cake in customer satisfaction. I have never had a bad experience here. The exams are thorough, and they accept walk-ins, and I'm typically out within an hour and have my glasses the same day. Very happy with this place read more

The quality of their glasses is awful. The pair I purchased from here lasted less than 3 months. When I told them the pair was defective, they stated that they would replace the frames again for $80. Took in two pair of Muse prescription. One was sun glasses, the other was regular glasses. I ask that both pair be converted to sunglasses with no prescription. Cost was $100.00. I later realized that the Muse sun glasses came back to me still with the prescription, but I didn't realize it at the time. I had just had cataract surgery and still trying to adjust to my new vision. I admit it took me 3 months to fully realize the one pair wasn't right as I don't wear them that much. I took them back in yesterday to have them double check and lens was still a prescription which had never been changed. Then I was told that it had been more than 30 days AND the glasses I brought in did not match their records. The original invoice I still have only describes the glasses as POFx2. No way to prove otherwise due to their generic invoice. The now want $39.98 to replace the sun glass lens that they failed to do when Paid for it already the first time. read more

My glasses broke after 6 months which I think is ridiculous. I called and they had the frames in stock, said it would be $50 to replace so they were dropped off on Tuesday. Friday I still hadn't heard from them so I called. They at first told me they didn't have any glasses for me. After about 10 minutes they found them. When I picked them up I asked it I could have a copy of the prescription and was told no due to HIPA. It was my prescription so I am not sure why I couldn't have a copy. The dr on duty said he could not give me it since I got my eyes checked somewhere else. then when I went to pay they told me it was $59 and some change. I asked why and said I was told it would be $50. He told me it was tax. You do the math. Tax on $50 is NOT $9. The dr on duty mouthed off and said just give it to her for $50 if shes gonna cry over a couple of bucks I will not go back and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I went in with a prescription for glasses to try on some frames. The guy told me that I couldn't look at the glasses size or model number of the glasses because It was against store policy. ??? Is this normal? I was just looking at the side of the frames to see what size they were and the sales guy acted like I was trying to pocket the things. Worst experience ever! They called my sister and I both liars and cheats. The manager (I am assuming since no one else tried to settle things) accused my sister of trying to get her money back! All she wanted was a prescription that was actually correct. We asked for the money back AFTER he said that our visit was just a plot to get a refund. He raised his voice and threw attitude to both of us in front of her 3 year old son. I've worked on costumer service for a total of 9 years and would NEVER raise my voice to a customer. Yes my sister starting saying the F word and that's not ok but he should've handled the situation in a much more professional manner instead of yelling back. We had to go to the optical place in Walmart to have ANOTHER exam done in order for them to even consider the fact that they were incorrect regarding her prescription. Not a pleasant experience! Charged me for UV and scratch resistant coating on poly lenses which, after much research, I learned comes with all poly lenses. Frames I purchased from them broke at the bridge after 5 months and when I attempted to get them replaced under the warranty I received the incorrect frames and was told "what I get is what I get". I was told by Eyecrafters that the frames I received replaced the frames that I originally purchased and that I would have to contact the manufacturer myself if I did not believe what Eyecrafters was telling me or if I wanted to pursue the issue further. If this was how I treated my customers I would have none! read more

II WARN YOU,DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE !!!only put 1 star to be able to write this review. I went to this place to get glasses because they advertise designer glasses for less and the man that works there appeared to be very helpful as I visited there before coming to purchase. Well, he talks and acts like he is professional so I purchased my glasses. I was surprised that they came to a little over $700 but thought ok they are a good pair that will last . When my glasses came in , the young man started helping me until very shortly when another customer came in he passes me to a young lady that gave them to me and said ok(that is all. no adjustments or anything) I let that go but,,,, I went back to tell him that I was having problem seeing clear out of them . It was 3 months because I thought I had to get use to them . He became rude and said I waited too long . Now they had a clear circle in the middle of my transitional lenses which he said I cleaned them wrong( been wearing glasses for years) and also I used someone else's spray cleaner and not their brand and gave me a bottle and sent me on my way with circles inside my lenses. When I returned again to get help from owner he said he went to lunch and would not call him and he will send him an email for me.He became very rude and disrespectful saying he was going to stop and respect his elder! I doubt that the owner of this place would allow this . Now the frame have come apart at the top! Prada glasses do not break like this . I purchase these glasses in May!!$700!!!! read more

Very dissatisfied with the service there. I picked up the glasses and I found out that my left eye can't see clearly after I put on the glasses prescribed by the doctor there. I told Tommy. He said: you know, you use two eyes to look, not an eye. Your left eye can't see clearly, your right eye can see it very clearly. In this way, you can balance your vision. You don't want two eyes see very sharp. The thing you see can't be right. Also, you are not used to the glasses. Wear them for two weeks and you can come to do follow up. His explanation made no sense to me but I took it. 2 weeks later, I went to the store. He said: the doctor came in on M.W.F. I left without complain. I came on the following Friday. He said the doctor left at 4pm. I left without being seen by the doctor. On the next Friday, I came before 4pm. Tommy told me: You need to make appointment. When can you come? I told him: the same time. He looked at the time and said 3:45pm. I made an appointment for 3:45pm. I got my appointment!!! That meant I can fix the problem glasses. I was jammed in the school zoom when I was on my way to the store. I asked my son to call him and tell him I was about to be late for 5 minutes. I came in at 3:50pm. Tommy said: the doctor might not see you today. I asked why. He said your appointment was 3:30pm. I told him I had appointment for 3:45. He pointed to a notepad: 3:30. I did not want to argue with him. I just stated the fact I came 3:50 last time and you told me the appointment was 3:45pm. He said: wait and I will see if the doctor can see you today. I waited for 20 minutes. He came to me: the doctor can't see you today. You have to make another appointment. I stood up and left. Tommy asked me you don't want a follow up? I said no. I will file an complain. " WHAT do you complain about? YOU ARE NOT HAPPY BECAUSE THE DOCTOR CAN'T SEE YOU, YOU CAME IN AT 3:50, AND THE DOCTOR LEFT AT 4? I will go further with this case. Tommy works with clients everyday. He can't treat people like this. He represents the three doctors and other staffs there. He has to stop it. If I have a choice, I will not rate a star for the store. People, think before you get into the store. read more

My wife needed glasses and decided to visit the Hurst location. After looking at some frames she decided that she would like to do some more shopping to find something she would like, as she wasn't too fond of anything she saw at this retailer. She found something she liked online with a different establishment and asked me to buy it. I tried to place an order with the prescription given to her but they did not list a PD (pupillary distance as most prescriptions usually don't) so I called the store to get the PD. Tommy (the store manager) politely said he couldn't release that information over the phone, but he would be more than happy to help if she would like to come in person. So my wife goes to see them and he tells her unless she is purchasing her glasses with them he will not be able to give her the PD. she puts me on her cell phone to talk to him so that I could understand why not (after telling me to send her out to the store) and after failing to convince me why he can't measure the distance between her pupils he tosses my wife's phone back at her and starts shouting!! so now I'm on speaker and he's shouting and I'm pissed and I'm shouting back telling my wife "fuck him ask for a refund he doesn't need to be screaming at customers" and he's shouting "I got other customers in the store you need to get the hell out" and "tell your husband to come up here I can take off my name tag and we can settle things outside!!!" "I aint got time for his arrogant ass" I call back to get a supervisors number and he refuses to give it to me saying he's the manager and he runs the store, he also refused to let me speak to the optometrist doesn't want to volunteer corporate or the owners number stating "I'm 40 years old brother I ain't got no time to deal with no kid bullshit" "you gon respect me and stay quite when I'm talking" apparently I was out of place talking over him. I called other locations to get a supervisor and they could do is take my name and number. 20 minutes later Tommy calls me back with a completely different tone he's very calm and professional at the begging and reattempts to explain why he can't give us the PD I told him I no longer care about the prescription all I need is a supervisor to speak to and he says "you can call all the other stores Brain Randel aint with us no more" leading me to believe the other locations where all calling him telling him that he had a complaint coming in instead of passing my number on to the supervisor like they promised they would. This is the first time I have ever placed a negative complaint or review for any business, but I felt that it's defiantly warranted. DO NOT GO HERE! my first " free" pair were cheap off brand contact lenses that were expired. $76 per box of the ones I wanted, found them $39 online.. I was not given my FULL prescription, took the paper I got to another optometrist, got laughed at and was accused of falsifying it because it looked like a 12yr old wrote it and it was missing alot of information. Front desk guy is nice at first, but the rules about follow-ups and pricing seems to change every other phone call... MY vision and well-being should not be this complicated. read more
