We were hopeful and did so--almost a month ago--but to date, we've received no reply from them. Regarding, his experience. We had hoped to write an updated, more positive review based on their stated desire to "make it right." Sadly, we cannot. Below is the review sent to the owners/managers about a month ago. Please read on and judge for yourselves. My husband and I had our first visit to Spavia last month in Dublin, Ohio, where he received an outstanding salt stone massage. Since we live in Cleveland, he was looking forward to having a similar experience at the Spavia in Strongsville. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite -- truly awful for him. Based on his provider, Ashley's reviews, it's clear his experience with her, wasn't due to her lack of skill or knowledge, but rather her lack of enthusiasm and unwillingness to perform the service with care. Making his 60 minutes session grueling and very uncomfortable. Far below Spavia's standards. From an excessively long and overly oily scalp effleurage "rub." It could hardly be called a scalp "massage." To the poor use of the stones, it was absolutely apparent that Ashley performed the "whole" service begrudgingly. After spending over $200, including tip, my husband left feeling stressed instead of relaxed. Maybe she was having an off day, but for an establishment like Spavia -- especially at this price point -- the service was totally uncomfortable & unacceptable. To say the least. I'm writing this review on his behalf, as it was such a disappointing and demeaning experience that he prefers not to relive it. To their credit, the managers immediately expressed concern and offered to "make things right." Since he was unable to explain his level of disappointment at that time, the managers advised him to write this review. Which we sincerely appreciate. We only wish the experience itself had reflected the high standard Spavia is known for.

She asked a lot of good questions and gave me a lot of good tips and reminders about my skin. During the facial, Meg was extremely sweet and we got to know each other a little. The facial felt really good and she also dermaplaned my skin to get rid of all the dead skin. I've always heard that hydrafacials were the best way to keep up with younger looking skin if you get them regularily starting in your 20s so I definitely would recommend if you are looking for a great place to get any type of facial. They said they would not apply the $50 to a rescheduled visit I would just be out the money. No exception. I explained I was a regular client and had something unexpected arise . They did not care. I said fine I would go to not lose the $50 but would get like 1 unit of something and never be back and make sure all my friends knew what happened as well. The woman got an attitude said I was making "threats" and said she would not allow me to go in and do the minimum. and in fact I would now have a $300 minimum if I kept the appointment. There was no minimum before so apparently this manager was just making up policies in the fly to rip me off. So out $50 or out $300 and miss out on being with my sister. So shady and nasty. Thievery really. I just made it yesterday afternoon so it's not like I even had time for a 24 hour notice. What the heck is that? Inflexible policies like that lose customers. It becomes apparent they are just trying to get as much money as they can from you and couldn't care less about being fair. No wonder they have such bad reviews in line and high staff turnover.
