do not go to them, there's other accommodating laser spots. they do not pick up on a work day to reschedule your appt. At times you call them over again and they still don't pick up. then you call them back the morning of the appt in hopes they pick up, to reschedule. then they want to charge you $50 rescheduling fee. I've been coming to Skin Deep Medi Spa since they were at their previous location. I found them originally through Groupon for laser hair removal and decided to purchase a few packages from them. There are several reasons why I am giving them the highest rating. Firstly, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating! The facilities are clean and aesthetically pleasing. They offer coffee and filtered water. They have state-of-the-art equipment (including the newly FDA approved green wavelength laser for tattoo removal). They always have some kind of special discount available. They are flexible with their scheduling, especially during bad winter weather and lake-effect snow. They always make sure their patients feel comfortable and relaxed. I have had laser hair removal over my entire body (with the exception of a full Brazilian, which I had at another facility prior to discovering Skin Deep). I have also had 4 tattoos removed (I need probably only one more treatment for two of the harder tattoos to remove, however, I haven't rescheduled as I have been extremely busy lately!) I have also had microblading for my eyebrows done there with Shannon and they look amazing! Dr. Becker, Debbie (the Office Manager), Kassie, Nina, and Shannon are definitely the best! My experience with tattoo removal at Skin Deep was really misleading and disappointing. I was told that 4 appointments would be enough to lighten my tattoos for a cover up. They were happy to guarantee this until after I payed, and then told me that 4 is rarely enough for anyone, and I would need more. They then said that 8 would surely be enough, only telling me that I may need more when I was getting to the end of that appointment chain with my tattoos still not light enough. I feel as though they were not honest and upfront with me about the expected cost ahead of time, and I feel strung along and mislead into paying far more than I was initially expecting based off my conversations with them. Of course they were happy to tell me they don't do refunds, so the verbal confirmation in the beginning was meaningless after they swiped my card! In light of COVID i was unable to complete my appointments, and moved out of state. I called the shop to discuss the possibility of a refund or a transfer of appointments to a partner shop in the city I moved to and was met with complete aggression. Joe was a jackass over the phone with no customer skills. Seriously disappointed in this entire experience and REALLY recommend that if you are considering getting tattoos removed/lightened, take your business elsewhere. I started getting laser hair removal treatments here back in October and I am glad I did. I have fair skin and very dark hair making me an ideal candidate for laser hair removal, so not everyone will have the same results as me. Lets start with my legs! Shaving was not an option as it would grow back immediately within hours and leave me with the follicle being so dark and noticeable, annoying! Up until my first laser session, I was waxing my legs, and that too was leaving me with the dark follicle, and it would begin to grow back a few days later (waxing should last at least two weeks). It was also becoming time consuming and also expensive. I finally gave in, stopped waxing, made an appointment and, paid up to start the process. Treatment: Every 6-8 weeks and I just had my second treatment about three weeks ago. All I can say is WOW! After the first treatment, no hair grew back until 2-3 weeks after and it came back in patches, and much finer. I probably shaved 2 times in the 8 weeks between the first and second appointment. After my second appointment (three weeks ago) I just shaved a few days ago. Again, it grew back finer and in patches. Some areas don't even have hair or a follicle anymore! Pain: It stings, but nothing you can't handle. The thicker and darker your hair is, the more it hurts but it gets less painful as the hair gets finer with each session. Around Thanksgiving, they had a deal going on and I could not refuse it, so I also purchased a package for the Brazilian. After having one treatment, the pain for me was really unbearable and I don't think I could bring myself to having another treatment, so I called and asked if there was anything I could do and the next day Maria, the manager called me and said I could do another area, so I chose my arms and paid the difference. I appreciate her being prompt, professional and courteous. The customer service here is wonderful, and all the girls working, from the front desk to the laser techs, to the doctor, are all so, so pleasant! After one treatment on my arms three weeks ago, no hair has yet resurfaced and I am happy and although I know it's only been one treatment, I know what results to expect. Appointments are easy to make and there is something that works for everyone depending on their schedule. If you are wondering about the costs, just know that one wax session is costing you almost the same as one laser session for that area, but instead you are getting the same hair growth over and over again. This is the best investment I've made as far as beauty goes and I highly, highly recommend anyone that is sick of shaving and waxing to start the laser hair removal process! I highly recommend this place and especially the nurse practitioner, Nina. I was feeling very hesitant about getting my lips filled for the first time ever with Juvederm, but Nina was amazing! She took the time to explain to me the risks and answered all of my questions. She never tried to force me into it but let me take the time to decide. I finally decided to just do it and I am so happy with the results! My lips look amazing and there is still hardly any swelling and zero bruising. My son made an appointment at Skin Deep Medi Spa in Strongsville for tattoo removal. He has a tattoo on his hand that he needs removed prior to enlisting in the Army and has been receiving laser treatments at another facility with very little results. After researching different lasers, we saw Skin Deep Medi Spa had a laser that had better results for removal and good reviews. In order to make the appointment, they required him to pay for the service upfront (should have been a red flag 6/19). He went to his appointment (6/22) and was told the laser was down and they tried to call him (which he has no history of). He asked when the laser would be up again and they had no date. He was meeting with his recruiter again on 7/2 and as long as he had a receipt stating that he was receiving treatment, for the tattoo removal, they would be able to proceed with his Army enlistment, so this was time sensitive. We called back again to reschedule the appointment and was told the laser was still down. At this point we asked for a refund since they were unable to provide the service. They said all sales were final. There was no statement saying this on the purchase invoice or the receipt of sale that was sent on 6/19. On 7/1, when calling back again, and being told the laser was still down, we again asked for a refund and were told no. At this point the manager Joe sent a different sale invoice that stated at the bottom that all sales were final. It was a completely different invoice than what was sent on the day of the transaction. We tried to explain the circumstances and he said there were no refunds. $80 may not seem like much to them but for a 19 year old trying to do what's needed to voluntarily join the armed force to protect our freedom and civil liberty, $80 is a lot. After a very heated argument, he actually stated "sure we can do the treatment but it will cause a burn". I could not believe he would even suggest that. For something like that, to even be suggested, makes me think their practices and standards should be questioned. We simply stated they were unable to safely provide the service and because of that we should be refunded. We tried to call again 7/3, to see if they could work with us before I went to the BBB and yelp and there was a recording stating they would be closed for at least the next 2 weeks. Highly recommend. Originally got Juvederm done at the Cleveland Clinic (botched). They turned out bumpy and was around my lips instead of inside, so it was pretty much in my face and still sore weeks later. It just made my lips stick outwards rather than full. I had spoken to Joe the owner about my concerns and he mentioned that it was not supposed to be done that way. I went in to see Rachel who had given me a few different treatment options to fix the way it looked, i went with the option of having the original Juvederm completely dissolved so i can have a fresh canvas.
