I was interested in microblading to fill some gaps in my eyebrows and create a more symmetrical shape. Before committing to an appointment, Jess went over the preparation, procedure, and aftercare in detail before my appointment so I knew exactly what would happen. Once booked, Jess asked for sample photos of brows that I liked as well as a few photos of my face, so we could talk through shaping options. I wanted to mostly stick to my natural brow shape and fill in some sections / lengthen the ends, so I sent over a few photos of myself with brows I liked in the past as a baseline in addition to inspiration pictures online. The appointment: The studio is a bit of a drive from north Austin but parking is ample and easy. The space is clean, bright, and welcoming. Jess made sure to send me a couple rounds of brow edits a day before so there were no surprises when she mapped out the brows on my face. Once they looked good to me, she started the numbing cream and then the microblading. The whole process took about two and a half hours and was relatively painless, no sensation at all until the last five minutes when the numbing cream wore off a little, but even then it just felt similar to threading. Jess was thorough with hygiene (I am a germaphobe so this was huge!!), using all new instruments and changing gloves whenever she needed to reach for something else. Jess checked in regularly after my session to check how the brows were healing and gave me tips for when they got a little itchy. It's been a month since my session and my brows are looking clean, full, and finally symmetrical! I couldn't love them more.

I made an appointment online - very quick and easy. Closer to my date, I received an email requesting me to confirm my arrival. Upon confirmation I received an email with parking directions - be sure to follow these instructions! I was confident in where I was going but completely underestimated my ability to get here on time. (Traffic, new parking area, etc.) I ran late and received a call from Louie who was so kind and helpful on the phone. When I arrived to the salon Louie greeted me and tended to me throughout my appointment making sure I was comfortable and offered me a drink. Aaron was my stylist and did an exceptional job. I booked a consultation just prior to my appointment and we talked about my expectations. I had a great experience with Aaron who kept it professional and made the long process bearable. It's a big price commitment which is why it took me so long but I finally did it and I cannot be happier. I was a little nervous I would have push back on what I wanted because I wanted a very bold brow for my natural hair color and was so pleasantly surprised with how understanding and supportive of my vision Mashari was. I showed her a few photos of how I fill in my brows and she marked out the exact perfect shape on the first try. I immediately knew I was in fantastic hands. She was great and paying attention to how my face and body were reacting to the process (eyes watering, twitching, etc) so much so I didn't even notice before she did. I was shocked at how little pain I felt from the process. When I finally got to see my new brows I immediately started to cry. This is something I've wanted for a long time and she managed to make my brows so perfect. She was so kind and sweet about my emotional reaction. I really cannot overstate how comfortable she made me feel and how confident these brows make me feel. The studio is STUNNING. I am obsessed with it. Such a comfortable space. She made sure that the tattoo table was as comfortable as possible even having a knee pillow which was so nice I'm thinking of getting one for myself! She even grabbed my sweater for me to make sure I wouldn't get cold. The aftercare instructions and little goodie bag is so helpful. I really love that she gives the exact balm and soap to use. I have a few tattoos and always worry about if I'm using the correct soap and moisturizer during the healing. And with this being on my face I want it to heal as well as possible so I love that she gave me exactly what I needed. Overall this whole experience felt so luxurious to me. From the studio, to the pillows on the table, to the aftercare goodie bag, even to the bathroom! Like other Face Foundrié locations, the setup is semi-private with curtains between beds, but with the white noise machines and your eyes closed during the facial, you barely notice. I've had the membership for a while now because I truly love both the products and the service. My skin is sensitive and I usually break out when I try new products, but I've never had an issue here.
