Update! This is a little late but over the summer (after getting my daily prescription eye glasses), I decided to invest on prescription sun glasses! As my insurance doesn't cover more than one set a year, they walked me through affordable options as well as fashion options. I truly think this is huge, it makes me feel like I'm not just a dollar sign to them- they really cared. My sun glasses came just in time for an LA trip I had planned which was perfect. I'd also love to add that I have the WORST habit of falling asleep with my glasses on which makes them shift and slip. They offer complimentary adjustments- which they never ever judge me for the billions of times I've come in for those as I'm constantly falling asleep with them on. I just love that! Had an average selection of interesting frames- but nothing i hadn't seen at other high end places i was visiting. I was asking about the frames and color options- and the woman helping me said she would have to look each of them up to get the information. Maybe its being too picky- but i want someone who knows the products they are selling... I mean, I can look through a catalog myself. My frames broke on the first day of my Seattle vacation, and I brought my glasses in here to see if they could be repaired, at least temporarily. They replaced one of the temple supports with a spare part while I waited, and or has lasted me throughout the vacation. They fixed my glasses on the spot, with no appointment, and would not charge me (although I did contribute to a donation jar). I ordered my glasses at the beginning of June. I was told "it will take 10 days, tops to get your glasses with the lenses back". Over 2 weeks later, I called to check on the glasses and was told that the lenses had to be re-certed, and my glasses would be back later in the week. I did not get a call to inform me the glasses were ready. I called them and was in formed the glasses were there. When I went in to pick up the glasses, the optometrist was not available and NO ONE was there to adjust my glasses, which were loose. By the time the optometrist was available, a month had passed from the time I ordered my glasses to the time I was actually able to wear them. The technician that adjusted my glasses brushed off my repeated mention that one of the arms still did not close and seemed loose. She stated, "It's fine, and is probably better that way". The price they originally quoted was 120.00 less than what I ended up being charged. The customer service was disappointing to say the least. When I voiced my frustrations to the person taking phone calls she immediately was on the defense. I told her that I just wanted to be heard. Bome Eyewear, the manufacturer of the glasses are wonderful. They sent an extra set of hinges to Eyeballs, and assured me I was in good hands. Unfortunately, I was not taken seriously and I paid a good deal of money for the glasses. Very frustrating. I try to support local businesses and live nearby, but won't be going back and don't know who will fix my new glasses so they close properly. read more

My husband and I purchased glasses from Eyeballs back in 2014 and had a great experience. The optometrist is both funny and professional - my appointment was very relaxed and took no time at all. The rest of the staff is also cheerful and helpful - it seems like they enjoy where they work, which speaks volumes about the place (and is definitely a business I want to support.) The frames selection is great, and they're happy to let you browse as long as you like, and give great recommendations when you ask for them. We've had our glasses for two years now and they are still fashionable, and have no signs of wear. Recently I damaged my glasses case and my husband lost his - and when I contacted them to find out if I could purchase new cases, they offered them to us for free - no hassle, no questions asked. He also assured that I don't need to go through unnecessary exercise things because the eyes are perfect. First off, this shop is super beautifully designed, very clean & modern decor. Second, the staff were all very helpful and kind. Thirdly, the new eye exam imaging machine they have was great. So awesome that they want the newest technology for their patients that has a significantly higher chance of detecting in eye health problems. I had a pretty good experience here about five years ago but my recent experiences were so disappointing. Here's why... - My eye exam was brisk, the doctor was not the easiest guy to talk to. I told him I was happy with my current prescription however it had expired...he didn't listen and ultimately prescribed lenses that are so strong I cannot wear them. Yes I see clearly but it almost feels like I'm wearing magnify glasses...they give me a severe head rush. I did not fully appreciate my previous doctor who was excellent in discussing how I used my glasses and prescribed them accordingly. -Then when I wanted to get lenses for a pair of vintage frames I already own, they said they could not do it because the frames were not consistent with what the law requires of frames. (I just recently checked on that and three other eyeglass shops said that was not the case and they would be happy to do it). -I then decided to just use my existing frames. They pushed hard for me to look at their frames and I said I already had but none were appealing to me. They continued to push...I firmly resisted and they proceeded with my order...curtly. They then automatically added the scratch resistance and glare resistance extras not covered by insurance without asking me. They clearly push to make a buck wherever they can rather than serve the actually needs and desires of their client. I now have a pair of glasses that I can use to spot an eagle on a tree a mile away but will serve little other purpose. If you go here, be sure to firmly insist that they provide you with what YOU want...check your bill to insure you are paying for only that. Buyer beware. read more

I really like these guys. The optometrist is great, albeit limited hours, but hey he works on Saturdays which is nice. The selection of glasses is really phenomenal, especially for such a small shop. I also really like the honest opinions their staff gives about what looks good or not good on your face. If it looks bad, they've always told me up front. If you like something but want a different color they'll also special order it for you. Expect to wait a week or two to get your glasses or contacts, but they do a great job and have reasonable prices for high fashion eyewear. Also- for contact wearers- I also highly recommend. I have to wear special lenses for a stigmatism and have issues with discomfort and poor vision with the contacts I've gotten other places. The optometrist found me a better brand and gave me samples to help me find what worked for me. My eyes are much happier in contacts thanks to them! read more

This place has potential but I won't be returning. My first exam started a bit late but it was enjoyable. I was fitted for contacts and we talked at length about my Lasik eye surgery years prior. The Doc said I should consider contacting my Lasik center to see if I was still under warranty for another procedure. I had never considered that, all good information. But on my follow up visit, I was paired with another doctor and one of the first things he said to me was "Never get Lasik eye surgery!". What? It's in all my chart notes and was the main topic of my last visit. I was shocked the two doctor's would have such polarizing beliefs. During my two visits I spent around 45 minutes browsing glasses that I planned to purchase and I was never helped by the front desk staff. After shopping myself I go up to pay and I'm told the glasses I picked out are not covered by insurance. Okay, fine, but it would have been nice to have some of this information up front or someone guiding the process. If I paid for a full exam, contacts and I'm interested in glasses, spare me a few minutes of your time please! I've always had this assistance at other offices. The conflicting guidance from the doctors and the lack of help at the front was enough to leave me feeling uncomfortable with the whole experience. I really wanted to like this place! read more

Although I didn't buy any glasses at this location, I visited twice in my search for the perfect frames. The staff is PHENOMENAL!! They took the time to look up the super expensive frames I fell in love with but couldn't afford from Market Optical so that they could recommend some styles that they thought would be close to the look I was hoping to achieve. They researched my insurance information to provide a thorough explanation of what I would pay if I chose to purchase the frames/lenses from them. It was an amazing experience. I've always gone with chain eyeglass stores for my lenses and frames I wear everyday. I decided to check out Eyeballs because they were local and seemed to have alot of different glasses. The customer service here is the best you would ever want! Lori helped me pick out frames and was not pushy at all, nor did she try to sell me something I didn't want. She really wanted to find the ones that would fit my face the best. I had to come back for a contacts fitting and both doctors are also great. I have trouble with contacts fitting comfortably, and they would not stop until they got it right. Also, recently I lost my glasses, so I went back to see what help I could get. Incredibly, they gave me 50% a new set of frames and made a great effort to get me close to what I had before! ! ! They have such a good selection of brands that aren't common but look great on you. I hate shopping for frames. I've had the same two for about a decade. When my backup pair broke, I decided to bite the bullet and made an appointment here. The eye exam was fast and painless. The sales staff were helpful without being pushy. Everyone was friendly and had a sense of humor. But here's where they earned their 5 stars: When I pulled out my broken frames to show them what I liked, Lori, the optician, didn't miss a beat. She took them to the back of the shop and brought them out a minute later, good-as-new! Turns out it was an easy fix. She didn't even charge me for the repair! I ordered new lenses for one pair and will definitely be back next year for the other pair (my insurance only covers one pair of lenses per year). read more

I was really excited to be able to find an office that does Ortho K that also happened to be extremely well-managed and whimsical. Because I run, splash in the ocean, and travel consistently, forgetting contacts or glasses is the bane of my existence. So, my previous optometrist recommend I find an office that does Ortho K. Initially I was really nervous because sleeping in hard contacts doesn't seem appealing at all, but Dr. Tran was super informative and extremely resilient when trying to find the correct lenses for my eyes. To be fair, the fitting process is a PROCESS, (mine took about 1.5 weeks), but Dr. Tran was super awesome in following up and making sure my eyes adjusted accordingly and fit like they were supposed to. Once the process started, he was really awesome about asking me the right questions to ensure they were working properly. Im a pretty curious person so every time something felt different, I would ask questions and someone at eyeballs would have the answer. Not only was Dr. Tran really informative, I was also able to ask Dr. Q, the owner of the practice, any residual questions or concerns if Dr. Tran wasn't available. I was a bit skeptical because it does take up to a few weeks with Ortho K for your eyes to adjust without glasses or contacts. But after like, day 5, I was able to see pretty clearly without any visual aids at all. If you're considering Ortho K, know that it is a JOURNEY, but it's totally worth it. And if you're going to do it, you should do it with people who actually care about your eyes and the gift of sight. Totes worth the adventure. Thanks Eyeballs and team! read more

The glasses i got are AWESOME.... i love wearing em... and its a new ordeal for me - a mid-life thing.... but now i look hot as h-ll! Had some scratching problems with the lenses.. but that was nothing to do with THEM... its their contracted lab... and their lab fixed them immediately!!! I can see better than i ever could in my LIFE!!! just as Dr McCrum told me i would! You can TRUST Him!!! He's now even on my Christmas card list! I went back a couple of weeks later when I had time to spare, and after I'd failed to find frames at three other shops. I love the idea of doing business in my neighborhood so I went to Eyeballs for my glasses. Spent what is a lot is money to me on glasses and prescription sunglasses. The sunglasses almost immediately started falling apart. I was back in the office 5 times to have them put them back together - the last time before I was to go on vacation. The glasses fell apart on day one of vacation and I ended up buying non prescription ones to use. While in vacation the glasses got damaged - a too full bag caused the now to break off. I'll take some responsibility for that. When I took them back to Eyeballs they focused on the break and not the fact that they might have been a bit fragile as I had them back in the shop FIVE times for repairs that were not due to my mistake. They called me once after I left the glasses and left a message - they would give me 30% off a new pair. Really? That's like a rather typical sale. What's more, I left the glasses there for a few months - I keep forgetting they aren't open on Mondays and seem to always try to go then - and they never followed up. Almost like they hoped I would go away. Went back today to pick up my glasses. The woman who waited on me almost couldn't make eye contact with me. Made absolutely no other offers to help. I took my glasses and left. I am not delighted. Poor customer service. I'm looking for a new place to get glasses now. read more
