I informend them of this. After the horrible first exam, they set up an appointment for me to come back to try contacts. I waited in waiting room, never saw the Dr. ( Thank You ) , I go upstairs where they inform me that they don't have any of the contacts, that she prescribed, for me to try on. You guys set up the appointment. Are you telling me that the Dr couldn't have looked at my exam before I got there and chose the contacts prior to my appointment. My sister had taken off of work. What a waste of time! I go have my new glasses made because I am desperate. Costing me almost $700. I start getting really bad headaches. My primary care dr suggest I get my eyes checked again. There is no way I am going back to Winchester Eye Specialists. I head to LensCrafters Dr. Hong. Great man and Dr. the prescription Dr. Garringer gave me was so very wrong and I have to get new lenses costing me an additional $700. I am so mad because I then receive a bill from Winchester Eye Specialists saying what I paid them for the exam was not enough and they want an additional $100.00. Are you kidding me?????!!!!!! After they treated me so poorly, wasted my time and gave me the wrong prescription. I tried to reason with them explaining all the issues and how I felt I had given them enough money for such horrible service. They insisted the money was owed and that it would be sent to collections ruining my wonderful credit. I explained that I would shout it from the mountaintops how I feel cheated, bullied and would make sure everyone I know would never to go there and that is what I am doing. Trust me, for better cost and service go to Dr. Hong at the Apple Blossom Mall. He is excellent.

In the last two years I've had three appointments with this team. The Doctors and the techs have…read morebeen professional and caring, but the workers at the front desk are HORRIBLE. They ALWAYS act as if you are interfering on their day; they ignore you as long as they possibly can, give you heavy sighs as you speak, don't make eye contact EVER, and give you a general feeling that you are the worst person they have ever had to deal with. Each time I visit, I leave wondering why I bother to give them my custom. My husband thought I over blow how rude they are, until he went yesterday. He was stunned!

I see multiple eye doctors for the chronic dry eye that has plagued my life since I first felt the…read moreeffects of ocular rosacea a little over a year ago. I live in Arlington, VA, but my favorite eye doctor is actually Dr. Eisele in Winchester. I drive there routinely for MiboFlo treatments, which are only offered at two practices in the state. (MiboFlo is a much more cost effective dry eye treatment than Lipiflow, in my opinion, because a technician operates a small wand directly to place a high but safe level of heat on your eye lids and unclog those glands while Lipiflow is a machine that cannot be individually set for different sized people/lids. Also, with MiboFlo, they manually express the lids later to guarantee as many glands as possible get unclogged to start properly functioning again.) I see a real difference every time I have this procedure done, and the people there always make me feel heard and do their best to address the stress that often exudes from dry eye sufferers like myself. It is completely worth the 1.5 - 2 hour drive for this procedure and the service I experience each time I visit Eye Associates of Winchester. There is always a long wait as Dr. Eisele's time is highly sought after for her expertise, but it is worth it for the time she takes to evaluate you and treat you thoroughly. All of the staff there also make you feel welcome and will do their best to help you however they can, and they do it with a smile. Graham and Dara are very knowledgeable and accessible as well, and both have helped me outside of the office in moments of panic related to my eyes. I have never had a bad experience there. I always feel a little better both physically and emotionally when I leave that office, which for me means a lot, since having this condition can really affect your quality of life and subsequently how you feel about it.

This was my first visit since the merger, and unfortunately, I was disappointed…read more The wait times were already terrible at the previous practice, and sadly, the new location is no better. I waited TWO HOURS past my scheduled appointment time before I was finally seen by the doctor which was for less than five minutes. If they are unable to keep up with their scheduled appointment times within a reasonable window, perhaps they should consider scheduling fewer patients per day. Patients' time is valuable too, and waiting two hours past an appointment time is simply unacceptable.
