Very rude clerk. Acted like i was bothering her & it was an hour before closing. I pointed out that the glasses were lopsided & just wanted to make sure that the frames that i would get would not be the lopsided ones that were in the store. I came in on Friday and little after the office closing time they were staff there and all I needed to do was pick up mu ordered everything was paid for in advance. They refused ro open the door all they could have done was slightvthe glasses for my child who desperately need the glasses now to wait until Monday at 10:00 am. Not right! read more

The bifocals were bad. When I looked at the test sheet with the one circle, I saw 2 that were 3 inches apart. I was told, oh just use them for a week, then they got up to "try it for a month". No way would I be using them if they were that much out of line. Then I didn't want them. I didn't accept them. I had to fight to get my money back, revisiting several times. They charged my insurance and I had to fight both. I wasn't able to get another pair for another year. And I needed glasses. read more

My wife and I recently got our eyes examined. Afterward, we both selected frames. However, we couldn't retreive them from the secure encasement. This is where everything took a bad turn. At the time, we were the only customers in the store, with the exception of one that was being examined. Despite this, we patiently waited for over 20 minutes. An employee took notice and attempted to encourage another, more experienced staff member to attend to us. This employee was apologetic and explained that she/he was a new hire and was not yet familiar with the pricing. So we continued to wait. Discouraged, my wife insisted that we leave. I maintained that we would only have to come back and wait again, and we may be treated the same way. Eventually, the staff member told the new employee that she was not going to wait on us. She went on to say that she shouldn't expect her to do everything. We waited a little longer and then asked the new employee to please, allow us at the very least point out the frames we wanted. We selected the frames but declined to purchase them because of the way we were treated. Later that day, I called and spoke with the office manager. She apologized for the way we were treated, In turn, I purchased the glasses, and I was given approximately ten percent discount. About 2 weeks later, I picked up the glasses. I immediately noticed that they weren't transitioning in the sun as they should. I returned to the store and brought with me glasses that had been previously purchased their so that they could compare them. The employee noticed they were transitioning very little. She tried using a UV light and said she couldn't understand why they weren't working. She brought it to the attention of the office manager. The office manager and I took both sets of glasses outside. As expected, the old pair darkened while the new glasses stayed the same despite being under the UV light before exposing them to the sun. The manager said she would contact their lab and that she would notify me regarding a resolution. 2 weeks went by without a word. I called Eye Options, and I was informed that they were ready to be picked up. I inquired how the issue had been remedied and she was unaware of what I was referring to. The office manager eventually took the call. She said that the lab insisted they were done correctly and the reason for the delay was due to it taking a week to be shipped to their lab. She said that she expected the glasses back in a few days, and that she would inform me when they arrived. By this point, I came to terms that the manager had no intentions on fixing the glasses, so I went to the store that day. When I arrived, I noticed them on a store window shelf facing the sun. My assumption was that they were trying to get them to transition. In summary, the manager handed me the glasses. In conclusion I have to pay to have them done correctly. She offered no excuse for her deception. Who knows how long she intended to deprived me from using them. Our entire family has been going there for over 15 years. We had no issues until recently when the co-owner and manager retired. In all honesty, the doctor is great. She's professional and thorough. I should also add that after our initial contact with that one particular employee since then she been professional and addressed me promptly when I returned to the bussiness. I recieved a response after posting a review on Google. Why I was told the glasses were at there lab when they actually were at the store for 2 weeks was not addressed. They did not deny that they found no issues with the functionality of the lenses. read more

I have been going here for the last 8 years or so for my eye exams, contacts, and glasses, and I just love this place. The front desk staff are always super friendly, and the doctors are really nice. It's easy to get an appointment, the eye exams are hassle-free, and the contacts/glasses orders arrive quickly. They'll even call you to tell you when your order is available for pick-up. They also give you a free travel-size contact solution with your contacts order. They've also always gotten my contacts right - I can see clearly, and they fit my eye perfectly. And that's saying a lot b/c I'm super blind without lenses, and I have an astigmatism. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs glasses or contacts, or even just a good eye doctor. read more

The women that works behind the desk are horrible!! It is a shame because the doctors are actually great and professional. The front desk are suppose to represent the establishment but they are not welcoming at all! Every time I go in the women seems unhappy, rude, or maybe on menopause, idk. I read the review below and I had the same experience...And that review was from 2012! However, they are good about confirming and reminding you about your appointments a few days before. My son was 15 when we first started to go to Dr. Sandra Moore and has never had his eyes dilated before until Dr. Moore. Thank God she did! My son had a detached retina and would have lost his eye sight. She did not let us go home without him seeing a specialist that day. She saved his eye sight, I truly believe. He's had surgery and is doing fine. My family has been seeing Dr. Moore ever since. My son is 20 now and sees fine. Thank you Dr. Moore! read more

I have been going here since 1980. It was always fine. Had annual eye exam in 2019. Picked out my new glasses. Once they came in, went in to get them. I did not see very well with them, not as well as when I have my old glasses on. I told them this, the women and the eye dr, Dr Moore, said my prescription only changed slightly. I said, ok, but I cant use these, they are blurry when I use the computer or phone, and I do computer work. I see much better with my old glasses. I suggested maybe my prescription is wrong. Again I was told in an exaggerated, condescending way that my prescription only changed slightly. I then said, well I don't know what the issue is, but I cant use these. I never had a problem with my glasses before, it's not me creating an issue. They said it can't be a wrong prescription and they cannot change the glasses due to my "insurance." (I have very good insurance). So I wore my old glasses for another year. This year I went for my annual eye exam (my fall of 2020 exam I had to wait 3 months for the appt since they are now closed on the weekends and wanted to go with my 2 kids all at once). Lo and behold, my prescription went back to what it was originally.... but Dr Moore's 2019 prescription couldnt have been wrong, right? I don't trust them now to make me another pair of glasses that I will have to pay copays for and wait another year due to this so my kids and I will now go elsewhere due to the way I was treated and having to wear my 2018 glasses now for 3 years. Dr Moore was wrong in my 2019 prescription and I was stuck with that prescription and eyeglasses and copays for my exam and glasses that were worthless. And they would not admit it. That's how much they cared about a customer who's been there since 1980 and never gave them a problem or had a problem. Will not go back. I really liked Joe and some of the front desk ladies too, but it really sucked they would not remedy the problem and stuck me with those glasses I could not use, not for lack of trying. read more

Eye Options is a breath of fresh air in the confusing world of buying glasses. I have Blue Cross Vision that covers both glasses and the lenses. After being shocked with the upcharges and upsells from a competitor across the street, who wanted over $385 additional for the options I wanted, I felt I needed to check out my options. I am glad I decided to get another opinion. I was by greeted by Theresa and Debbie who took the time to answer all of my questions, discover my needs and pointed me in the right direction as they helped me choose a great pair of glasses. I got all of the options I was considering from the other vendor for just over $100. So long story short, I got designer glasses with transition progressive lenses backed by great customer service. I recommend you check out the folks at Eye Options, as they are head and shoulders better than the chain stores with better service!! read more

Personally I felt like was went through a Jiffy Lube for my eyes. If I'm totally fair my real problem did not begin until the actual eye exam. I had the measurement done where I look at the balloon, that went fast. I had the eye exam with the doctor which I thought went well. When I picked out my glasses the girl asked me what kind of glasses were they. I said reading and she looked at me funny, excused herself and then got the doctor. When the doctor came out she started saying a bunch of things that were never mentioned while in the exam room. I then understood the girl's confusion, as now I was just as confused. I wrote Eye Option and they responded. I spoke with Joe over the phone and sadly he had to explain to me in great detail that which the actual doctor failed to. And the girl forgot to ask what other options (transitions, etc) I wanted/needed for my glasses. And while I was appreciative of Joe responding to my not sure nice review I was not left feeling like I wanted to return. At the core, all Joe really did was give me the information and options I should have been given from the very start had everyone done their job. So no, doing what you are supposed to in the first place is not making the situation right. So with that said I don't think I'll ever return to Eye Option ever again. But you all be safe read more

I have been a customer probably for some 10 years and I'm very happy with the optician Joe and his service for eye glasses,he has fixed my computer glasses twice succsessfully due to my dog chewing them up. However I have had very bad experience with Dr.Brett Neal on 8/12/09 with my contacts. I originally asked him if I could order Air Optix lenses as I wear O2 Optix for some two years.I got my refraction which seemed accurate but when it came to ordering my lenses which I now needed Toric lenses.I asked him to order me Air Optix and Purevision which I have had good experience with,but was told he did not know if they came in -7:00 power,which they do as I looked it up on the Internet. Instead he ordered Acuvue Advance which I've had less that satisfactory experience with, after I left the Store.Upon attempting to contact Dr.Neal the same day I was told he would call back which never occured.The same happened when I tried to call Daryl Levine owner the next day.I did not appreciate the doctor's not honoring my requests for the lenses I had wanted nor wanting to speak to me concerning my visit.In addition I did not appreciate the way he ordered Accuevue lenses clandestinely, in llieu of my requests and refusal to speak with me about the situation. read more

I looked this place up online first and was pleased to see a nice, clean store in the wasteland that is the northeast. The shop is close to me, takes my insurance, and the hours were flexible when I made my appointment. Unfortunately, my experience was meh. The women who work behind the counter are horrendous - you pretty much have to ask them to help you, even if you're standing right there in an empty store. I felt like I was being a nuisance. Dr. Moore who checked my eyes was fine, no complaints about her. It's a pain trying on glasses too - everything is locked up and when you have to ask these women to help you, it's an entire production that even includes eye rolling when you ask to see another case of glasses. When I came back to get my glasses, I waited for 15 minutes before anyone even said they'd be with me in a moment. If my glasses weren't free with my insurance, I absolutely would have gone elsewhere and don't plan to return there in the future. Save yourself some time and frustration and head to your good old lens crafters or pearl - the service is far superior. read more

Do not go there. They have a bad customer Services and the office manager is even worst. I have been going to see Dr. Levine, since 1982, however, his new staff in the last several years have been come very nasty. If you cancel an appointment the computer locks you out an after that you must be a walk-in customer for life. I never heard of something so ridiculous. Another, thing they lost my eye glasses for whole year and I never claimed about the situation I just gave them enough time to find them. A year later. I am never going back there again.
