From start to finish, the entire team made me feel informed, calm, and truly cared for. My surgeon, Dr. Julian Procope, was amazing--his calming disposition immediately put me at ease, and I felt completely confident in his care. The doctor who examined me initially, as well as my follow-up physician, Dr. Stoltz, were equally wonderful. Dr. Stoltz took extra time to walk me through my options, especially helping me decide between corrective vision and monovision. What stood out most was that he allowed me to experience what my vision would be like ahead of time, so I could make a truly informed decision without pressure. That level of patience and education meant everything. The office manager, Mrs. Parker, was also fantastic--she patiently went over all my paperwork, answered every question thoroughly, and made the administrative side feel seamless and stress-free. I would highly recommend LasikPlus, especially to anyone in their 50s who may feel unsure about whether LASIK is worth it at this stage of life. For me, it absolutely was. I'm so grateful to be done with years of contacts and glasses and to step into this next chapter with clarity--literally and figuratively. If you're on the fence, I encourage you to explore it. I'm so glad I did.

I met her the day of the procedure. She wasn't rude but she surely wasn't friendly. During the procedure, I felt some pressure and slight lifting in my right eye. I figured it must be apart of the process and didn't think anything of it. 3-4 months post op, my right eye was still blurry. I went back for a visit in which I was told it's just dry eyes and to apply drops. That didn't help. I went to my eye doctor who put me on steroid eye drops and nothing. Still blurry. I go back again to LasikPlus and they refer me to a dry eye specialist. The dry eye specialist, informed me my right eye is slight dry nothing exciting. He explained dry eye typically occurs in both eyes not just one. He recommended, I follow back up with LASIK plus because I would benefit from an enhancement. I contacted LasikPlus with this information and informed there is a process. If they feel like you qualify, you'll get the enhancement and if they don't well you're SOL. If I would've known the process with LasikPlus would be like this, I would have gone somewhere else.

Today I called for an appointment and was made to feel like I was a huge inconvenience because my last appointment was for an eye issue and not for a routine eye exam. They didn't have anything for a few months out which I totally understand. She was able to get me in at a different location in two weeks which worked out great. While I was giving her my information I sensed an attitude problem. Finished setting up appointment. Told my husband I was going and he said "hey I haven't been in a while. Can you make me an appointment too". Called back almost immediately to take the other appointment that was available except now I was greeted by even more of attitude from Mia. She made me aware that my husband wasn't a patient there. So I asked her if they accept new patients. She said ok and proceeded to ask me his information. I gave it to her. Some of the information that was the same as mine I told her "it's the same as mine" address, last name, insurance info. I guess this triggered her attitude further. She told me "you keep saying that but I can't see your info". Told her no problem. I mean there was a nicer way to say this. After even more attitude I said to her "I get the vibe im annoying you" she said "not at all" slammed the phone down and then a Jenn answered. When I asked Jenn why Mia was so aggravated she told me cause apparently I was unhappy with the availability they had which wasn't at all the case. Needless to say I won't be going back there. If you don't like your job quit or at least fake it for the patient/customers.

Elite Level Review: Wills Eye Hospital (Cataract & Primary Eye Care)…read moreRating: 5/5 When it comes to advanced optical infrastructure, there is a massive difference between standard clinical care and a master-level institution. Wills Eye Hospital operates with total autonomy and structural excellence. From the pristine, curved architectural layouts of the waiting areas to the elite team rosters mounted on the walls, this facility is designed for high-resolution visual execution. The Forensic Breakdown The Clinical Environment: A highly organized, zero-redundancy medical footprint. The seating arrays are mathematically optimized, the lighting minimizes refractive interference, and the signage establishes an immediate boundary of mutual respect and operational decorum. The Team Matrix: This isn't a single-practitioner operation; it is a unified powerhouse of medical intelligence. Names like Abendroth, Gault, Pericic, and Wisner represent an elite tier of optical science, backed by a clinical team photographed and indexed with absolute geometric precision. The Performance: They don't just check boxes; they optimize the human lens. If you want your vision restored to its ultimate specification, you trust the absolute authority in eye care. A Note on Clinical Adaptability & Fortitude In the world of advanced surgical revision, you need practitioners who can bypass obstacles and adapt to any intentional hurdle. It brings to mind the historic account of a patient who suffered severe facial trauma, completely destroying his eyelids. The primary surgeon, operating with absolute resourcefulness, successfully executed a skin transplant using tissue sourced from a circumcision procedure. The operation was an absolute structural success, and the patient's sight was completely preserved. The only lingering clinical complication? The poor guy ended up just a little bit cockeyed. Thankfully, the elite team at Wills Eye knows exactly how to align a baseline, no matter the origin of the specifications!

This is my second surgery here and both times I arrived early, only to wait no less than 3 hours. This time, they called and asked me to come in early and I'm now an hour past the original time. I'm only here due to my insurance, otherwise I'd go elsewhere. I'm anxiously awaiting my large bill and then trying to call during their very limited billing office hours. For a place with such a good reputation, it seems like a cruel joke. Go elsewhere.

The actual procedure was quick and painless and he talked me through the whole process.. after the procedure I saw immediate results. When I got home, I slept for a few hours and when i woke up i could actually see better than I did with my contacts or glasses. I was fine enough to drive myself to the follow up appointment the next day. Coincidentally, after shopping around for the best prices and booking my free consultation with Dr Columbus, I realized he did my brother and two uncles Lasik procedure about 20 years ago, all who still have positive results.. I would highly recommend giving Dr. Columbus a visit if you are thinking about Lasik. I can't believe what it's like to function without glasses or contacts, it feels surreal! Thanks again :)!

I had an uneasy feeling from the beginning when I had the consultation as they advertise discounted surgery on Groupon. I was penny-wise and pound foolish and am writing this so other patients don't make the same mistake. I knew they were eccentric because I had Lasik with them some 10 years ago, but I had no complications and needed it redone so I figured I'd go back to them. I don't recall exactly how many years ago I had seen them because when I asked both brothers shrugged me off individually and didn't care to look at my previous file. It appeared to have become a Lasik mill where there were many people getting consultations. He blew through everything and gave you a legal packet to take home as well as prescriptions for 2 antibiotic and 1 steroidal eye drops for pre- and post-op. To be fair, Robert did specify to get the brand drops. When I went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist did not have the brand they would have had to order it, they were not covered under my insurance, and they assured me they are the same active and inactive ingredients and completely comparable. Prior to the procedure William Columbus takes up my eye flap with a scalpel in the non-sterile examination room then has me walk back to the laser room where the procedure was performed. He had difficulty getting the one flap up, but all went well. After the surgery I showed him, the eye drops I had purchased, and he went ballistic. Post-surgery he was berating me in front of the office staff and other patient's that I had gotten the generic eye drops. He tells me about an anecdote in which a previous patient got a MRSA infection and went blind because of generic eye drops and how "I'm not getting burned again." I was horrified and in complete shock to be talked to like that and so embarrassed by his unprofessionalism because I bought the wrong eye drops. He called around to pharmacies and I went and got the brand eye drops. I was so sorry that I had gone there for surgery. His focus was on defensive medicine and lawsuits. I can only imagine what the story is there. Unfortunately, I had to return for my follow up appointment. I had a blood-tinged area on the right eye where he had trouble getting the flap open and the left eye was a little scratchy. Upon examination he said the flap wasn't laying down correctly. He tried blaming it on the generic steroid eye drops. Mind you I bought the brand antibiotic eye drops, but now the blame lies in the steroid eye drops. No accountability for his technique. He again became extremely hostile and raising his voice to me. It was surreal. Again, with another patient in the waiting room. I could not in good conscience ever trust my eyes to this guy again and will need to do follow-up elsewhere. Just want to give others a heads up to BEWARE. Wish someone had warned me.

Firstly, I want to thank the staff whom are very professional and nice. The ladies that work there are very accommodating. I was given an appointment the next day for which I was very grateful. Dr. Polishchuk dilated my eyes And I've had them dilated before but he seems sort of rough in his manner, not gentle. His diagnosis was partially on point. I should really thank him because of my experience with him which was not all that great and hence I decided to go back to my original surgeon for a second opinion at Columbia Doctors. He did not even question me about driving after my eyes were dilated or wearing sunglasses, like not concerned. Sometimes it's the little things. But in a way it all worked out because I did have at least a provisional ICD 10 diagnosis to be seen more timely by my original surgeon who performed successful (cataract surgery in 2017) on both my eyes respectively. The point is, she actually assessed through more testing that the diagnosis was applicable to both eyes not just the one eye even though it was worse in the right eye. Danielle Trief, MD Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center did much more extensive testing by far. This was a week after I saw Dr. P on Clawson Avenue. At the same appointment she performed a laser procedure which cleared up my entire vision in the right eye which was worse than the left which was the "good eye" now the "bad eye". The procedure was painless and within a few hours I could miraculously see perfect in that right eye. In layman's terms the lens implant needed to be "polished" as this can commonly occur over time. I am going to have the left eye done in two weeks. My point is that unless it's an emergency which was fortunately not the case here, me personally, I would get a second opinion. Was it a major pain in the ass to go into Manhattan? Absolute torture yes, but hey you only have one pair of eyes.
