The doctor is extremely expensive, we bought yearly lenses for $2500. I feel like I was deceived.

I've always used Optic One for my eye doctor and I couldn't be happier here. The doctors and aides are all really friendly and know what they're doing. I feel totally comfortable asking what this or that machine does and talking about my vision options with my doctor. In addition, the frame options and contact lenses are always changing and staying up to date. I don't have to worry about going elsewhere for contacts or glasses, because the selection is good here. read more

I started coming to Optic One about 6 years ago after a recommendation from a friend and I have not regretted it. They have convenient hours and it is easy to make an appointment. They are prompt with patients. The eye exams are painless and I feel that they do a thorough job of examining for eye disease as well as checking your vision for the perfect prescription. I've ordered several glasses and sunglasses and a set of contacts from here and they've all come in quick and were the right prescription the first time. And they seem to keep better track than me of what vision coverage I have. And I used to think I would never be able to get contacts in. If they can teach me to get a set in they could teach anyone. read more

The doctors are great and very helpful. The office seems disorganized as I've had issues with billing on several occasions. They've sent bills to my insurance but was not paid and I didn't find out until months later. This has happened several times. I didn't find out until I attempted to order new contacts and they wouldn't order them until I paid the balance. If I owe, them I owe, but not letting me know until I need to order contacts is not ok. I might bee looking elsewhere since the office seems to be disorganized and confused. read more

This place is a complete joke! Unless you have weeks and months of time to waste waiting for information or someone to call and schedule something it is a complete waste of space and location. Now..... that being said. I have been wearing glasses almost all my life 55 yrs..... so I've been a few places for glasses and eye exams in my lifetime... every 2 yrs for glasses and exams.... Although my exam went okay, everything else from that point on was just crazy and weird .... walked in to schedule an appointment for exam. They happens to have an I opening then so I was grateful and went along. After the exam Dr suggested doing further testing before actually making the glasses since it was my first time there... ok .. they were looking for prior records which of course could not be obtained as my last exam was with Sears which closed. So went back and forth with that and trying to get a record and 2 weeks go by I call , hey, any info , Andy date for the further exams ? Nothing , wasn't even prepared or no one even knew what I was talking about with the dial at ion and further exams Dr mentioned at my initial exam, this is 3 weeks out now. So then it's let's schedule now. That was my first red flag and I decided let me just go someplace else as it's already now been 3 weeks and all I hot was an eye exam and I stressed to Dr that my glasses were getting really bad and I was having trouble seeing at night. Anyway , I stop in to pick up the records and script for the glasses. Dr was at the desk and stated " you should let Us make the glasses so if there are any issues we can make the adjustments ". I said I have made other arrangements for the other exams and will see. So I went back about a week later and decided ok , that may be best. Let Me let them make the glasses. I go in pick out a few pair and the lady that helped me was alone of course and there was just not enough help as people kept coming in and it was a lot of interrupted service for everyone there. There were 5 people at one time and only 1 person to help. Anyway , she goes over to get my info from the office side and the girl there tells her they CAN NOT Make the glasses , of course I was Furious ! This was crazy. Your Dr told me to come back and let you make them???? She stated "They are waiting for testing" WTF??? Are you talking about ?? That was being done somewhere else as you failed to schedule it for a month???? So after sitting there with this constantly interrupted service and them agreeing to go ahead and make them, I just left ... there was no way I was going to go through more aggravation with this place!!! Done!! Finished , Moving on!!! Meanwhile went to Americans Best Cinnaminson!! -really really professional and an Awesome Experience ! They were very busy but had adequate staff to accommodate. I waited about 10 min tops , and was taken care of and ordered the glasses from there. I could not be happier with that experience. The lady that helped me with the finished pair of glasses was so experienced and helpful and she knew from my prescription the issues I would have with glasses made suggestions and just overall so pleasant , it was just a breath of fresh air. It took about 7 days to get my glasses they fit and look great. And the script is ok but I know I know I will need to get bifocal lenses are some point. But will definitely be at America Best and not the Joke Optical One ! Beware of Optical One .. this place is clueless !! Unprofessional, no sense of urgency and just weird !! I believe they write their own reviews and that's why there's only 10 of them !! read more

My husband desperately needed new glasses and refused to go to the eye Dr bc he said that they are all too expensive. Granted, we have had some really bad experiences at the well known "chains." I was able to get him an appt that weekend and all the girls at the front were so kind. We were able to use his insurance and got name brand frames and lenses for about $150 bucks! We even upgraded the frames AND lenses. They also got him in a trial pair of contacts for free, and when those weren't working for him bc he uses a computer all day.... They let him try another brand for free as well! We will definitely be coming here from now on. The best service, they definitely deserve the "best of" awards they have received! read more

The doctor didn't write the correct prescription. the optician was a bust. It took 7 weeks for the glasses. When I arrived to pick them up I found them to be different from what I ordered. That's when I discovered they got the perspiration wrong. Maybe my experience was rare, but they received an excellence award? The optician said they didn't want a dissatisfied customer but they didn't offer anything. I left confused. The only good thing was that my insurance denied any claim they put in. read more

I had a great experience here! From the receptionists to the doctor, everyone was super nice. I didn't have to wait at all which is always a bonus at a doctor's office. I saw Doctor Bacho and was very impressed. He was friendly, professional, and thorough. He explained everything he was doing as opposed to just doing it, which is always appreciated. The lady Ashlee who works in the frame section of the shop was so nice. I'm pretty sure I tried on every pair of frames in the joint, and she was so patient and gave me her opinion on every one. The selection was great with a good price range of basic cheapies to high end like Jimmy Choo and Kate Spade. I got a gorgeous pair of Jimmy Choo's and can't wait till they come in! My only issue here is that it is extremely difficult to get to this place. You can see it, but a labrynth of bullshit NJ jug handles separate you from the building. I had to hop a median and drive up a grassy cliff to get there, but It was totally worth it! read more

Ok....This is not my first experience with Optic One in fact I've been going there every two years for 6 years. The staff in the Optometrist office are great and the Opticians are top notch, but I've twice had a problem when it comes to the "Optical Dept.". The first time my glasses took 2-3 weeks just like they said, the second time (just an upgrade in my script) it took around 4 weeks, and this time it's been over 6 weeks when they told me 3-4, and when I called Friday during week 5 they said they shipped and should be here Monday or Tuesday, so on Saturday morning (week 6) I called hoping to pick them up, I was told that the optical is closed Saturdays and that my glasses are not in yet. Humm... maybe next time I just take my script and go somewhere else to purchase glasses. read more

They are no longer professional. I changed this year. I had to. They NEVER called me back to set up my appointments. Every year, they have new doctors/staff. Last year, I questioned it and was told that they will be stable but it didn't happen. When I called to set up my appointments for January (for Saturday), I was told that they don't know what Saturday they will be open since they are only open one Saturday out of the month now since they are down on doctors. They said they will call me and let me know, hence never called and it was for three of us. So now they lost three patients!!!!!! read more

The technicians at Optic One allowed me to unknowingly purchase glasses that I subsequently learned were too small for me so they never fit properly. I went there 2 times to have them adjusted and they never told me they are just too small. Very unprofessional. read more
