My exam with Dr. Amy Patel was very thorough, she was very attentive and knowledgeable.

Dr Richmond is a very nice Dr . Unfortunately after 30+years of my family relying on his expertise,…read morehis staff told me that he no longer takes my insurance. My entire life. I have only gone to him and now I can't. They do not offer any discount for long time patients for an exam. The office staff was never the best. They could be rude and abrupt. Time to find a new eye doctor. If he takes your insurance, you will love him, but maybe not the staff as much. I'd give the doctor 5 stars but the staff bring it way down. Be prepared to wait as you would with most medical practices.

Didn't ask any questions about my vision and in fact when he performed the vision test, he rushed through it sometimes not waiting for me to respond. He made me feel like he couldn't be bothered with me. He didn't stay long enough to talk about my perception and when I expressed concern to the nurse that it wasn't strong enough she told me Richmond often forgets that "younger" clients are used to seeing things clearly, and he doesn't worry about small changes in prescription. Very annoyed that she told me I could change the prescription to a higher number but that if it didn't work I'd have to come back in and pay for another contact exam. What was I paying for that day?! Also, this is one of several eye exams I've had and never have I had blurry vision for 3 hours after. I couldn't see up close or far away and maybe this is something that is either new or more common in this area. I've never had blurry vision for more than a several minutes and think that they should tell you when you make your appointment. They also were surprised I didn't bring my own sunglasses because the drops make your eyes sensitive to the sun. Maybe they should mention that to new patients. Two picky things: 1. Who answers a business phone with "Hello?" What happened to saying the name of the business? 2. Maybe they should update their medical history form to something that sounds like it was written this century. They had pregnancy and breast feeding listed under "Female Medical Problems" Maybe use the word "conditions" so you don't sound so out of date.

My husband needed safety glasses for welding. When we went to another nation wide chain asking about prescription safety glasses, we were only given 9 options, and the salesperson had little knowledge about this type of eyewear. Mancine was a breath a fresh air. the people on the floor were very knowledgeable about their products and services, and could provide exceptional suggestions to personalize the eyewear to my husbands needs. The price was over half of what was quoted at the national chair store. I will be going back, and will highly recommend them to anyone who needs glasses - regular or safety.
