Recently, I started the process to have a re-vision done to find out there is a $100 eye exam, and the re-vision will be the PRK treatment. which could have several more side affects then Lasik. None of this was explained when I had the surgery. So I decided to not have the revision, ultimately spending $1500 plus, more then I needed to spend. You guys need to do better and be more honest in your consultations.

I was able to quickly get an appointment. Dr Kane was extremely professional in his explanation of my issues and very compassionate to my feeling vulnerable being out of state. When I mentioned that I felt like I was leaving all my lifelines in Florida, Dr. Kane made it his mission to get me quickly seen by a neuro ophthalmologist in Illinois. They are suppose to tell you of all costs before. Just FYI Center for eyes on Center road doesn't charge for this. May want to check all charges before going here. Your choice. Disclaimer: Im extremely tough on professionals I pay good money to. I wasn't too upset as I knew what the bill would be, just interesting that two different people gave me the same answer, which turned out to be wrong. Then I came back for my post op, which was within the global period and should have been at no charge. Unfortunately for me, Dr. Howard "found" an unrelated diagnosis (eye mites) , and told me about the medication I needed to use. He did not mention this diagnosis during my two earlier visits. This turned my no charge post op visit into an office call, which they billed the insurance for and of course, I ended up paying for it. I've worked in billing for 30 years, I know exactly what they are doing. Do not trust this company.

Everytime I went I would spend 5 to 6 hours sitting and waiting. The check in waiting room waiting room has at least 50 people waiting to check in.waited 45 mins to check in for my appointment ,,,then directed to the actual waiting room with even more people waiting. Most of the clients were very old and many had difficulty walking...there was no water or coffee..no food and we all sat and waited to be called. Once called we would see staff for 15 mins and doctor for about 5..as an example my final visit I had an 11:00 am appt and left at 3:30. This was typical of every one of my visits. The reason for long wait was management who hires and sets quota. The staff is great..but overworked...I had my surgery and follow-ups and each appt was like this. I am so happy to never return. But my concern is to have so many elderly and non English people waiting with no food or water Or any idea how long they will sit unt being seen. Guess money does rule all . My suggestion...hire more staff and schedule fewer people each day.

Check-in was simple and I think I waited just 10 minutes past the scheduled appointment to be taken back for my exam. I like their system in that I was escorted to the first room for the initial checkup with the tech. After that was completed, I sat in the waiting room for a few minutes until my eyes dilated and was taken back to see Dr. Manning who completed his exam. He took his time and answered my questions and explained things in layman's terms. I recommend Dr. Manning and his staff for your eye concerns. Everyone is friendly, professional and proficient. (I researched prior to initially making appointment and learned that he has high ratings for eye surgery,too). The office is pleasant, comfortable and clean. Free parking is great too.
