What should have been a routine visit quickly turned into an extremely uncomfortable and upsetting experience. My husband is a young Black cargo van operator and the owner of a logistics business. While working in Sag Harbor, he encountered an issue with his cargo van and stopped by your shop seeking assistance. As a business owner who relies on his vehicle daily, he approached the situation professionally and simply needed support to get back on the road. From the moment he arrived, he felt that he was treated with a lack of respect and professionalism. The staff's tone and behavior toward him were dismissive, and he was not given the same level of attention or courtesy that he observed being extended to other customers. His concerns were not taken seriously, and he felt ignored when trying to ask questions about the service being performed on his vehicle. In addition to the unprofessional behavior, he was also overcharged for the services provided. When he requested a receipt, he was told that he would have to pay additional money just to receive documentation of the services performed, which is completely unacceptable. He was also told that he had to pay upfront in cash, which raised further concerns about the legitimacy and transparency of the transaction. More concerning, however, was the treatment he experienced that he perceived to be racially motivated. He was subjected to inappropriate language, including racist slurs, which is completely unacceptable under any circumstances. The manner in which he was spoken to, along with the overall hostility, made it clear that he was not being treated fairly or respectfully. Additionally, my husband was treated disrespectfully as well. He was told that he could not use the bathroom in the auto shop and was instructed to go to a nearby gas station instead. This added to the overall feeling of being unwelcome and discriminated against. No customer especially a paying customer and business owner should ever have to endure discrimination, dishonesty, or disrespect when seeking service. This experience was not only unprofessional but deeply offensive. I believe that all businesses have a responsibility to provide a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for every customer. Unfortunately, my husband's experience at B & B Auto Service fell far below that standard. We are bringing this to your attention in hopes that it will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately. We expect accountability for this behavior and meaningful steps to ensure that no one else experiences this type of treatment in the future.

AVOID AUTO SERVICE!!…read more Butchered my car ! Spilled brake fluid all over my pretty paint job on my 1968 Super Sport !! The gaslight response I get is "just wash it off" and "you just need it detailed ", total gaslighting, more like repainted ! Nor should anyone have to get their car detailed from your sloppy work. Brake fluid kills paint FYI Literally got brake fluid all over my driver door, my fender, my hood! Who does a brake job and doesn't account for that or spray, no fender cover or anything! Nobody should have to trade their car's paint for brakes... oh an they screwed that job as well - I've been leaking brake fluid for a week since via my master cylinder which was fine before I came in, never had issues until they pulled it out & tested it via a Phillips head screwdriver smashing non stop, after I said it was not a good idea, still proceeded on ... until put a hole in the connection ! Costing me $365 bucks in unnecessary parts money , time, energy to get a new master - then re installed at a competent establishment = more labor money. I was driving around for almost a week with no fluid in my master reservoir , could've crashed easy. To add icing and a cherry on the cake, Mobil chipped the corner of my hood / cowl down to the metal A total strikeout - Ruined paint job, broke my master cylinder and gaslighting all within a calendar day. Larry the man who oversaw it all gave me the high hand an was dismissive of me - won't even so much as reimburse me for his damaging , non effective work, has zero humility and no accountability. So disgraceful and negligent. Guy snarls at me, makes ugly comments, and will use his poor health against you. That being said I highly suggest you never come here or leave your car here unattended , especially not overnight if you value your car from my experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!! This place is amazing now! The new manager is great! He is very up front…read moreabout things and always makes sure he communicates every step of the way with my car! The place has been pricey in the past, but under the new management, they have been more competitive with the other local mechanic shops. They also have a couple new mechanics who are very knowledgeable and courteous. I have been coming here for many years and have seen them go through their ups and downs, but the new team has taken the bar to a new height! They are deserving of a second chance, trust me, you won't be disappointed!!
