I have never used this place of business nor do I know any employee at this business, however my Amazon Prime account was hacked and used to purchase 2 battery amp chargers to be delivered to Joe Frizell in Southampton, NY. I live in Houston, TX. The order was "archived" so that I would not see it, but I received a shipping notification regarding the items. I called and spoke with Joe who denied illegally gaining access to my account and stealing from me, but it is a bit coincidental that 2 battery amp chargers were "accidentally" purchased to be delivered to an auto repair shop. Buyer beware - your card information is not safe with this company. read more

Joe's Garage - Unauthorized order on my Amazon Prime account. - Auto Repair Near Me - Southampton, New York

Great service. No 'hard sells', I have detected only honest diagnosis and repairs. I have even gone in for work I had done and was told I'd already taken care of such and such issue earlier. They could've easily just said nothing. read more

I had a wonderful experience bringing in my 2007 Toyota Highlander. I had several concerns, and all were addressed, and I felt completely comfortable with the way it was all handled. Not only did they fix something that I had been told was unfixable, they saved me money by giving me a timeline for future fixes. James and Gino were kind and helpful, and very polite. Regarding COVID protocols, top notch. I now have a new trusted Garage! Nothing beats trust. read more

Love these guys. You can go to other places maybe save a few bucks but long term these guys save you money because they just do it right. I have a 1988 Jeep Wagoneer and they just simply crushed it in terms of service and quality of work. I had some other problems creep out of nowhere and Joe's team were super awesome about being straight up and did the work that was necessary and not making stuff up like so many other mechanics do. They don't cut corners and are about doing what's best for the customer. They look out for you and your vehicle and do what is best and right. I get a lot of anxiety when dealing with car mechanics because there are so many hustlers but when you look at how he operates and look at his facilities and see how long he has been in business and the warranty on their work, trust builds quickly. I live in Manhattan and I would rather bring my car here more than any other place. I worked with Joe and Vincent and they are cool. Give them a shot and you won't regret it! read more

Joe's is the BEST!! Honest, Trustworthy, and Professional..... I travel from Brooklyn to have Joe's crew work on my car!! They are skilled mechanics and will take the time to explain the issue and the cure! And they "cure'" my BMW every time!! I strongly recommend Joe's Garage!! read more

Called for an estimated cost on an oil change and they told me that had to see the car. This is just crazy I gave them make and model a( Toyota ) and they were afraid to quote a price! read more

This was my first visit to the garage for a NYS Inspection. I arrived early for an appointment they were able to take me right away. The staff is very pleasant read more

Excellent service, great people. We were interested in buying a used classic car. Called Joe's about doing a thorough inspection before we bought. Leigh was a huge help, everyone was friendly and Zbiegnew walked us through all the positives and negatives he could find in the inspection. Joe's Garage gave us the piece of mind to buy the car and drive it two hours home. read more

Before I started going to Joe's, there was no one I trusted with my car, other than my "guy" in Queens, who regularly got on the phone with mechanics in the Hamptons to evaluate their assessments. I find them to be good, reasonable and honorable, which is not an easy thing to find. read more

Joe and the entire team are great. I have been having my cars serviced for 15 years there and they have never disappointed.

These guys picked up my car so that was nice of them. Outside of that they didn't know what the issue was with my car and charged me for information I already knew about my vehicle. read more

Rip off artists I'll never go here again Am in shock from all the deceit There are more honest and trustworthy mechanics out there Never have I been left with such a feeling of being taken advantage of They sneak in charges without telling the customer Had things done to my car without my consent and then had hundreds of $'s in charges which I contested and some were removed, almost seemed like they were trying to get away with as much as they could and didn't expect anyone to notice but when I did they all too easily removed them, still doesn't make it OK Yelled at and spoken to in a very condescending way by the tacky clerk at the front desk (in desperate need of a makeover, hair dye job and manicure) repeatedly who thinks she's a mechanic and knows everything about cars, apparently she knew my car better than me! Lol Advice before leaving your car with these nice honest people 1) tell them that you want to be notified of any and all charges prior to any work being done 2) don't put up with the condescending behavior from front desk clerk, if she spews her vitriol, ask for your car back and leave and drive down the street to the mechanic next to North Sea Tavern read more

I have a '94 Land Rover Defender '90. It's in very good shape and I am extremely picky about where I would get any work done. Joe's was recommended to me be an out-of-state dealer; tells you how good the reputation is. The repair (new shocks) was done perfectly and the service was phenomenal. Leigh took the extra time to order the exact shocks that were the originals from the factory in '94. Prices are very fair, which is not something that can be said for most Hamptons garages. I won't be taking my truck anywhere else; I've found my garage! read more

I scheduled an appointment to bring a car in for a state inspection. The process was quick and easy and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Joe at the front was friendly and I'd certainly consider them if I found myself in Southampton and needed other work done. read more

Joe's Garage is by far the best in the Hamptons! I'm sitting in the waiting room now which is large with coffee, snacks and other beverages while they fix a leak in my brake fluid line. Leigh, who works at the front desk, is back at Joe's and she couldn't be lovelier or more helpful and informative- no fast-talking, hard selling mechanics here! They're also very fast and the estimates are beyond reasonable for the area. I've used Joes for years and absolutely 100% recommend them!! read more

Bought a car here. It was all serviced. Place seems about as well organized and efficient as can be, staffed with knowledgeable an helpful people. read more

they are way over priced. even for a simple oil change shouldn't cost $119.00. take your business elsewhere, save yourself money and get your services completed properly. read more

I can't say enough good things about Joe and his garage. I've brought my car in for different reasons over the past couple of years, and I always walk out with a smile on my face. They do great work, they always seem to be able to squeeze me in on short notice, and most importantly, they are very honest. There was a billing error that I noticed on my last invoice and it was immediately taken care of in the most friendliest of fashions. With so many mechanics and auto dealers trying to rip you off, Joe stands out from the crowd. Plus, how can you go wrong with a place named after a Frank Zappa song? read more

I have gone to Joe's for 10 years. They do excellent work and give it to you straight. Leigh knows everything and makes it feel like family.

I was visiting the Southampton area when a battery charging light went on in my Acura RDX. Because my wife was slated to go to JFK airport in the morning I drove to Joe's to have them analyze the problem. I found his shop after doing a quick check online. A courteous and friendly front desk woman arranged to have the car checked out in under 30 minutes despite having many cars to be worked on. I was offered coffee and water while I waited. The owner was also there and gave me the results assuring me that the battery and alternator were fine. What a relief! This was one of those situations where being in a strange town and not knowing the area led to some anxiety and uncertainty about potential expensive car repairs. I felt like I encountered an extremely honest and customer focused business owner who did right for the customers he served. I highly recommend this auto repair shop read more

Joe's garage is one of the very few businesses that really understands what customer service is all about...They are kind, they are responsive, the are professional, yet they take the time to chat with you and are so personal. They are an absolute joy to deal with. Ironically, I have an electric car and don't need to use Joe's Garage very often, but I almost wish I had more reason to, because they are so great to work with. If you're going anywhere other than Joe's Garage, you're missing out on a great experience. read more

Today was my first experience at Joe's Garage and it was absolutely wonderful. The front desk personnel was lovely and waited for about 45 minutes for an oil change and check engine light. Very honest people and a very nice place to sit and wait. I will be going back for all my car needs. read more

Joe is an extremely nice guy that does top quality work. We've been bringing our BMW and our Honda to him for several years now. He'll even drive you back home in your car if you're located nearby so that you don't have to wait for the work to be done! read more

I had an "emergency" on a 79 Corvette late on a Saturday. Joe's Garage was closed but Joe was working late and answered the phone. Over the phone he gave me sound advice and a few options for the repair. I opted to bring me car to Joe's on a Sunday afternoon expecting to drop it off. Joe was there working on another emergency repair. He took the time to look at my car we discussed what was likely needed; alternator belt, a/c belt, fan clutch and realignment of the pulleys. I was able to leave my car. Joe and his Team completed the repairs at a very reasonable price and made sure to use quality replacement parts. All old parts were returned. I am enjoying the rest of the summer with the top down with a classic car thanks to Joe's Garage for high quality repairs at a fair price. I highly recommend Joe's Garage. read more

This place is total amateur hour. In the space of 2 weeks I brought in an older european sports car to troubleshoot an issue and my US pick-up truck. They obviously had no clue what to do with the car but Joe was ready to order about $6K worth of unneeded parts from a local high-end dealership...if I wanted to get ripped off I would have GONE to a dealership. The truck was in for a simple charge and check the AC system. I was told "system checked out, no dye leaks showing and it's blowin' cold."- Yeah, for about an hour. Next place I took it to said he hooked the system up to the vacuum (like your supposed to) and found a gaping hole in about three minutes. I think the mechanics are in the back watching how-to videos on youtube and the Hamptonites who rave about this place must have no clue how much they are getting played. read more

I agree with the previous post about AC. They put the dye in the system, claimed to have checked it for leaks first, not. Ac worked for a total of 2 days, then NADA. Plus I had an apt. to leave the vehicle, was there first thing to check in and leave it, but they waited on other "walk-in" customers first? Not going back, needless to say. read more

Joe's Garage is a trustworthy place to have your vehicle serviced. They are well staffed and the mechanics do a good job with diagnosis and repair. The price is fair, which is uncommon in the Hampton's. read more

Excellent service...honest assessment of what my car needed..and then when I decided not to do the repairs Joe made a reasonable offer to buy the car which I accepted.. read more

Great work and knowledgeable, friendly staff! Especially Leigh. She knows more about cars than Marisa Tomei in "My Cousin Vinny"! They also have an excellent coffee machine while you wait. read more

Been going there for several decades. As good as Mercedes but better sagharbor. Enjoy

With a 2005 Buick Lacrosse, it's inevitable that at some point your car is going to need more than an oil change. The first time I took my car to Joe's Garage, every light on the dashboard was lit-up. My car was in desperate need of a mechanic who was not only experienced but dedicated to solving each of the issues. The estimate that I received was accurate, and the work was performed on time. I found Joe and his associates to be professional, courteous, and customer oriented. I will only have my car serviced at Joe's Garage. read more

I went in to have a check engine light looked at and, aside from what was the best customer service I've ever experienced, what stuck out most was that after fixing the problem they offered to let me drive the sixty miles necessary to turn my check engine light off so it could be inspected. Speaking from experience, some other places would have had one of their employees unnecessarily do this and then bill me for their time. I didn't need to ask to do this or anything they just let me know it needed to be done and it made no sense for anyone but me to do this. Simply put I find this place very easy to trust. read more
