They charged my wife $80.00 to repair a slow leak in one tire. There was a small screw in the tire which required a plug and nothing else. What a rip off. Most shops charge $25.00 to plug a tire. Jim D. read more

He used to be good but they changed their policy and now it's just a rip off. I went and got an oil change, they say the price is $70 but that doesnt include any oil. You have to pay for the oil separately. All 5 gallons. I've never heard of a mechanic charging separately for oil. It's ridiculous. It cost me $120 bucks for a oil change and i did not even get synthetic oil. That's a huge rip off. I guess a lot of wealth people moved into the area and the owner figures they will pay it so he rips everyone off. When question on it he told me oil went up so much they had to do that. Which is BS the oil hardly increased in the past 3 years, they only changed their policy recently. read more

Every time bringing my car, there was never an issue, the mechanics always seemed overworked, an older gentleman that worked as a mechanic and still does yells and swears while working and you can even hear it from outside and it even became uncomfortable. read more

Well, another terrific experience with The Garage, and Randy, a young mechanic there, is especially great!!! Go 4 new sets of brakes, struts, etc. and the price was reasonable. I've been going to the Garage for years, and they gave my Dad a free service and tune-up for his service in the US Army. He appreciated it as did I since I recommended he go there. In short, Kim,Rich and Bernie and the crew of merry mechanics at the Garage are the best. They give a fair estimate, are reasonable and are honest in the repair charges. read more

My friend brought his truck there (I was with him) for an inspection and new tires installed. Got a call saying they couldn't do the inspection because the check engine light was on. The light was not on when it was dropped off. They claimed they could not pass his truck due to the check engine light and said his O2 sensors were bad. Still charged him for the inspection anyway. Instead of having them do the repairs he took his truck to the dealership where they said it looks like the O2 sensors were crushed by pliers. STAY AWAY from this place. Dishonesty seems to be their policy and I have talked to other people who have had similar experiences there. read more

Just picked up my GLK350 from service at the Garage. The guys did a great job servicing my vehicle. First time service was performed by a mechanic other than Mercedes . The Garage rocked it in service, price, value, hospitality, friendliness and conversation. Their pricing destroyed Mercedes service! The car runs like a racing machine. They installed front brakes, rotors, sensors , repaired my tire problem , service A , wiper blades, inspection. All completed perfect . I'm a new customer for life. Stopped in here a half hour before closing on a Saturday. Thanks to road debris on the Belt Parkway getting out to Hampton Bay's, I had a muffler dragging on the ground and a Honda that sounded like a Harley. Bernie and the crew took a look at it and all I expected was that they would be able to temp repair it. They were able to fix it and did so in the space of a half hour. Staff very nice and shop pretty clean. They also have a lot of availability and can take you right away. I guess the reason for having availability may be due to the fact that they are outrageously expensive. I asked for a fee quote through yelp after getting an estimate from these guys and it turned out that they were by far the most expensive. They also charge you for checking the car but it's not like an inspection. They basically ask you what you think the issue is and then they would only look at that. Overall, a very disappointing experience. read more

The absolute WORST PLACE TO BRING YOUR CAR. Bernie is a jerk who takes zero responsibility for his idiot and worse mechanics work. They damaged my Mercedes Benz for a $900 repair and took zero responsibility. Also on another car they put all 4 tires on the wrong way. On another they left 4 screw out of the injection slots. Guess I was a gluten for punishment by these crooks. read more

Called Ford where I bought my car and got a short and rude response that they couldn't replace my flat tire for four days. Called up the Garage and Kim was so lovey. She quickly ordered my tire and got me in later that day. Then when they worked on my car they saw another nail in my tire but could patch that one instead of paying a lot more to replace it. My daughter stopped at The Garage to get a flat repaired and they charged $50 for a simple patch. Ridiculous. I called to find out why she was taken advantage of and spoke to "Rich" who said he was the owner. He stated that it took 24 minutes and that's their rate. Then he stated he did her a favor by doing it right away because she wasn't a regular customer, "I had to adjust my schedule to fit her in". How do you get regular customers? Maybe he was trying to justify the high price by being a nice guy. Anyway as can be seen by previous posts there doesn't appear to be a problem stopping by to get a repair. The staff at the garage is the most kind and efficient people I have ever been lucky to meet. I have had multiple last minute (my fault) issues that needed to be fixed right away and I went to the garage for them to be fixed. Price is over expensive. Brought in my Tacoma for a new belt and alternator. Paid for a new alternator but they gave me a refurbished. Never told me. Few months later the belt got tangled because The Garage installed it improperly. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone! read more

After locking my keys and phone in my trunk today, I walked back into the store I had just came out of to ask to use their phone. With no phone of my own to call my family and friends to come to my rescue, I tried to think of someone who I could rely on and that's when I immediately called "The Garage" where I take my car for maintenance. I can't thank them enough for coming to my rescue! They came within 5 minutes after I spoke with them and unlocked my car in less than 10 minutes. This is the place by which all other garages are measured. The mechanics are fast and knowledgeable. If you can break it, they can fix it. The work is done properly and they back it up. Bernie and Kim at the counter and phones are polite and helpful. Prices are good and the service is excellent. You can drop your car off or if you wait, the waiting area is clean and comfortable with Panera and McDonalds within easy walking distances. I have referred them to several friends who were as pleased and impressed as I am. read more

I was told by another shop in Hampton Bays that the car my daughter drives would need a new or replacement engine. They told me there was low compression across all four cylinders. This made no sense given the maintenance history of the car. So I had her take it to The Garage for a second opinion. The engine was promptly diagnosed. Bernie called and let me know that the compression was good, in fact, it was very good. He determined the problem was in the ignition system. One day later, the repair was complete and the car runs like new. Being 250 miles away from my daughter, I'm grateful to have a reputable business like The Garage and their competent technicians to depend on. And...the following day, I got a follow up call asking if everything was okay with the car. read more
