AVOID AUTO SERVICE!! Butchered my car ! Spilled brake fluid all over my pretty paint job on my 1968 Super Sport !! The gaslight response I get is "just wash it off" and "you just need it detailed ", total gaslighting, more like repainted ! Nor should anyone have to get their car detailed from your sloppy work. Brake fluid kills paint FYI Literally got brake fluid all over my driver door, my fender, my hood! Who does a brake job and doesn't account for that or spray, no fender cover or anything! Nobody should have to trade their car's paint for brakes... oh an they screwed that job as well - I've been leaking brake fluid for a week since via my master cylinder which was fine before I came in, never had issues until they pulled it out & tested it via a Phillips head screwdriver smashing non stop, after I said it was not a good idea, still proceeded on ... until put a hole in the connection ! Costing me $365 bucks in unnecessary parts money , time, energy to get a new master - then re installed at a competent establishment = more labor money. I was driving around for almost a week with no fluid in my master reservoir , could've crashed easy. To add icing and a cherry on the cake, Mobil chipped the corner of my hood / cowl down to the metal A total strikeout - Ruined paint job, broke my master cylinder and gaslighting all within a calendar day. Larry the man who oversaw it all gave me the high hand an was dismissive of me - won't even so much as reimburse me for his damaging , non effective work, has zero humility and no accountability. So disgraceful and negligent. Guy snarls at me, makes ugly comments, and will use his poor health against you. UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!! This place is amazing now! The new manager is great! He is very up front about things and always makes sure he communicates every step of the way with my car! The place has been pricey in the past, but under the new management, they have been more competitive with the other local mechanic shops. They also have a couple new mechanics who are very knowledgeable and courteous. I have been coming here for many years and have seen them go through their ups and downs, but the new team has taken the bar to a new height! They are deserving of a second chance, trust me, you won't be disappointed!! read more

I would avoid this place.  I took my car in for an inspection at the end of 2023, was told that it needed parts and would cost an additional $200.  They suggested i call up the car dealer to see if they would do it at no charge.  It was over the holidays, I never got to it, brought it back here a month later and was told it was under new ownership, (this is at the beginning of 2024, in other reviews here the same thing is noted in 2022).  The new owners had not given permission to order new parts.  I returned five times over a period of two months and was told the same thing.  I finally took it to car dealership who did the inspection.  I never needed the parts that Mobil said I needed.  I never passed inspection from Mobil yet was still charged for it. read more

I live 3 miles away. I called for a NYS Inspection because I was a block away. Spoke to Larry. He said "come right over, the sooner the better." I waited 2 hours and 25 minutes, walking around Amagansett in the rain and the plague, then returned. Car hasn't moved. Asked Larry how's it going. He said soon. I took my keys and left. I always wondered why the true locals, the "Bonnackers", avoid this Mobil, and advise against going there in the strongest manner. Now I know why. Larry. I've been there many times, because they sell diesel. Its appropriate that they are on Highway 27, because this must be where the term highway robbery originated. Three times this mobil has quoted me jobs, two times I've been able to go elsewhere for much less, the other time it turned out I Did Not need, as per estimate, a whole new $1485 muffler and pipes and with catalytic converter. Springs Auto Repair, 714 Springs Fireplace Road, up the road, simply replaced a clamp- $27.00. That was months ago, muffler still going strong and it just passed inspection....... Live and learn, in my case slowly . There are better options. read more

If I could leave less stars I would. Called for a NY State inspection and sure enough no appointment can be booked - "Just pop over and you won't have to wait long" .... More fool me for standing outside their garage waiting in the freezing cold for 4 hours. They were rude and grumpy when I politely asked how many cars were ahead of me after two hours. I had a problem with a tire. It was leaking air . I was there at 630 Sunday am and they said come back at 830. Of course that was fine. I came back At 830 and the mechanic was not there. I said when will the mechanic be coming they said soon. I waited and said my wife. Is sick and she is taking care of my two little girls which was true. I said Can you please call the mechanic. If he is not coming I need to find someone else. The guy behind the desk said we don't know you and there will be 4 cars ahead of you, so we can't help you anyway. read more

I went here reluctantly, scared I could get ripped off. My car hadn't turned on two days ago, my engine light suddenly went on and my back tire was flat. I asked Ali to please give me a fair price - he promised me so. They called me and it was 113 for the new battery and 80 to check my engine light - and they told me I didn't need my tire patched only air. So totally fair!!! They could have ripped me off completely and did not. I totally recommend for out east. read more

Shady. Was told my car failed inspection because I needed tires. I had just had the car serviced at the dealer and was told to wait until next visit for tires. Went to another Inspection location and the mechanic measured the tread in front of me and said the tires clearly passed. read more

The men at this place did their best for us when we were in a real bind and at an utterly reasonable price. A tire unexpectedly went flat on us on Sunday night of President's Day weekend. They were there for us at 9 pm. Though they needed to special order the lugs and studs, they got them in quickly and installed them and a new tire in due time. We were only a couple of hours behind schedule which is wonderful considering the circumstances. And they were courteous. Highly recommended. read more

Twice i've taken my car here for an inspection sticker. both times i was told i needed brake work and 'failed' the inspection. Both times i declined having any brake work done and instead took it to the BMW dealer. Both times the dealer said my brakes were fine and gave me my inspection sticker. Even when the station fails you they make the $37 because they 'inspected' your car. But really they are trying to sell you additional repair work. read more

Brought my car in to get it inspected. I have an old classic car and they told me they could not pass it without $2500 worth of repairs. They kept it for three months (the entire summer) and never returned my calls. I agreed to pay them if they would just give me my car. It now runs worse than when I brought it in. I am looking into filing a complaint with a consumer bureau. Total crooks. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE. read more
