Recall, it was raining! Went inside and spoke to the cashier who advised I insert the card backwards. Though suspect and counterintuitive, I obliged and had success. Turns out, card goes in strip facing to the left. Gas flowed fine; while dispensing, the lot was semi-tidy but a tad dim. I'd highly suggest changing the default image on the card reader or adding custom pump signage showing how to conquer the card reader. Otherwise, the

FAX FUEL Battlefield CITGO…read more324 Battlefield Blvd N Chesapeake VA 23320 (North of Great Bridge, before water tower, West side of RT 168, near storage units) This gas station should be avoided. Go anywhere else to buy fuel. The daytime female employee is rude, arrogant, insulting and vulgar. She has no concept of her role representing the owner of operator of this business. When told that pump 7 was out of receipt paper she attacked me verbally and pursued after me as I left the store. She was offended that someone was telling her how to do her job. She insulted my age group, my race and my sex. She threatened to call the police as I was opening my car door to drive away. She made obscene gestures and swore angrily as I was walking toward my car. I will never visit this gas station again, and may expand my boycott to all CITGO stations in south Hampton Roads. I have already told this story to over a dozen people this morning and intend to continue telling this story until I grow weary of educating the public. This story will be out on Next Door as well as Yelp. It deserves wide distribution. This employee deserves termination and a negative recommendation should the need arise. Fred Brox 757_714_5861

I don't normally go to BP for gas, as I find their rates higher than the average gas station…read more However, I shop at Kroger and Harris Teeter (Kroger bought HT) and I accumulate fuel points from my purchases. BP is one of their partners where you can redeem your fuel points for a 10 cent/gallon discount per every 100 fuel points. I ended up with a 40 cent/gallon discount on my last visit! Some notes: - press "Loyalty" on the touch screen at the pump and enter your phone number that is associated with your Kroger account and follow prompts - you can get additional discounts if you buy a car wash - 7 Eleven is the convenience store attached, the store seemed clean and service was friendly The last time I was there, their gas pumps were down but they did not put any signs outside. Customers were pulling up to gas pumps and were left in the dark (me included). Some waited, some drove off. I would suggest having some "Out of Order" signs readily available to slap on the pumps should they have another IT emergency. It's nice to have an option nearby for gas. The fuel points will make it more affordable! Stay safe, Friends!

Much like Jumpin' Jack Flash, this place is a gas, gas, gas!…read more On my long journey from Milan to Minsk...wait, that was Rochelle, Rochelle. No, I was driving back to NYC from North Carolina and needed some gas before I got on that freakishly long Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. So, I pulled into the BP here and got my gas and was back on the road in a jiffy. The place was clean, there were plenty of pumps and I was able to get in and out effortlessly. Like I said, it was a gas, baby! The only weird thing was when I was pumping gas into my rental car, this guy comes over to demonstrate some car cleaning product. I told him I didn't need it and he says "Why, you don't own a car?". And I said "No I don't. I live in New York so I take the subway everywhere. Do you want to see my Metrocard?". I don't think he believed me, so he proceeded to clean the trunk of my rental. It did look good and I told him that Budget Rental Cars would thank him. He was nice enough, though, and very handsome, but I'm still concerned that he thought I would lie about not owning a car. Don't I look honest?
