This Wawa is right by us so we are here often. The kids always love to get icees and the coke free style machine is nice. The food we get from the deli is usually made pretty well, but it does seem like their soup selection is always the same. We never see the loaded baked potato soup anymore. This is a pretty busy Wawa, and one thing I do not recommend is coming here on the weekend. It gets very chaotic here, and it is even worse during high travel times to where people are parking at neighboring parking lots and lines are forming for gas pumps. Overall this is one of the better Wawas I have been to, and they do also have Tesla charging stations if needed, although I see lots of trucks and non-EV vehicles park in them. read more

Having just moved into the area, I was ecstatic to find a Wawa in town! This location, like most, provides fresh food, great coffee, charging stations for those with electric vehicles and gasoline. It's always busy here but the staff seem to manage very well. I usually go there to buy a BLT wrap and an iced mint coffee. By the time I get my coffee and pay for everything my food is ready within minutes! Never had a bad experience here. Wawa has a lifelong frequent customer in me! read more

An easy thumbs up for WaWa. This is a traditional stop on the way to OBX to fuel up. Gas is typically cheaper than other area locations too. I'm a huge fan of the chain and their coffee. Find them off the Hillcrest exit to highway 168 and Battlefield Blvd. it's an attractive store with probably six islands. The only issue is getting out if wishing to turn left, it's a bear. Unfortunately there is no signal to help. I've been coming here for over 10 years, so I can tell you all it's consistent as hell great! Clean pumps, clean lot, emptied cans. Never an issue fueling up or card working. I've never once had to go in for a receipt. Like WaWa, your gonna love this one. read more

Heading to the beach we made this the stop at dinner time. Busy place. The bathrooms were nice. The food menu had a variety of hot and cold foods and all kinds of drinks. The peach/mango smoothies were a hit with my group. We ordered at the kiosk, which was easy to do. You take that receipt and pay the cashier in the middle of the store. When your receipt number is called you pick up your food. I had the delicious chicken quesadilla. It was a half with three large pieces. The burritos and burgers were also very good. Coffee is good. The store is like a mini-mart. Stop here for a quick purchase. read more

This place had everything! Its a gas station plus like a miniature store that sells lots of food! It was my fist time in a Wawa so I was impressed. Staff was extrordinarly friendly, bathrooms were tip top clean and they had snacks galore, even healthy options like salads, fresh fruit and yogurts! I had no idea they sold an array of food items which you can order on their touch screen menu. They had items such as sandwiches, burritos, breakfast items, and quesadillas! My husband had a breakfast sandwich and he loved it. Of course they have everything else that a normal gas station would carry such as junk food and a large selection of beverages. Ordered an iced coffee and tried to give the employee my reusable cup. The employee who was making coffee, along with the manager who was standing nearby, flat out refused to allow me to use my own clean, reusable cup. Why? For no apparent reason. Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts and other coffee shops not only allow customers to use a reusable cup but they actually encourage it by offering a discount. I guess Wawa would rather waste money on plastic cups and pollute the ocean with plastic. It's 2024. Wake up and look around, Wawa. And please train your employees to CARE. read more

If I decide to go to a Wawa, it will be this one. I guess you could call this one my home Wawa. The people here are always so nice, especially the morning crowd. They always have the coffee filled, their morning food is always promptly replenished as they go very quickly. If you ever order from their food takeout, you'll see it's very easy to order on the screen and comes out fast and hot! The facility is always clean and so is the restroom! Gas prices are usually reasonable and on the lower end of the spectrum compared to other gas stations. They have a great selection of snacks and food, healthy and not so healthy. Time for the ol' trusty default three star Yelp gas station check list: Good price? At a $1.67 a gallon it was the best price that I had seen since....?? I mean recently I've gotten cheaper but only by using accrued gas points from grocery shopping. This straight non-gimmick price was a solid fifty cents per gallon cheaper than at home and a quarter better than anything in the OBX. I was partying like it was 1999 because to my wallet that's around the time it felt like. Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? No, this Wawa was perfectly gas station clean although there was a guy right in front of the store yelling into his phone cursing at someone about something. I have no idea. I just wanted to leave. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? Not too bad on this one either. A turn or two and I was back on the 168. Human intervention needed? No, which is how it should be. This is the most chaotic gas station I've been in. Stopped in for coffee and maybe a quick breakfast. Went over to the area with the kiosks and food prep and attempted to order a breakfast sandwich. There were no choices for one so I thought I'd just get a bagel. My husband also ordered a breakfast hoagie in the same order. After second thought I wanted to cancel my bagel and get a hoagie as well. It would not let me delete it without starting over. I decided instead of holding up the ever growing line any further I'd just also get the bagel I didnt want. After taking the receipt to the counter to pay I noticed at the registers AN ENTIRE DISPLAY of normal breakfast sandwiches. Why these were not available where are the other food was I could not tell you. At this point the whole experience was so frustrating. The one good thing I have to say was the coffee was pretty good. Super busy Wawa that is right off the Chesapeake expressway. It is on the last exit before tolls apply. Many people take this exit on their way to the outer banks. Shhhhhh, don't tell Sheetz I cheated on it when I went on vacation. I mean really, don't say anything, because I enjoyed it. It was weird. I've grown up on Sheetz and Wawa is nothing like it. From the set up of the store to the food offered I was at odds. Touch screen ordering is the same, and everything is made to order, that is about where the similarities end. The inside of the store feels a lot like a sterile environment. Lots of white and mute colors. Like the exact opposite of Sheetz. Centralized area for the checkout which was confusing. No real way to know where the line begins or if people are just standing around. As for the food, it wasn't anything to be floored about. I give them some props for having different items on their menu than most places of the like (read that as "gas station"). Being able to eat a mac n' cheese bowl with crispy chicken strips on top and quesadillas are an easy thing to eat during a drive (maybe, that is if you are good with a spoon and steering wheel at the same time). read more

I hate to write this but the men's restroom was extremely nasty I had to use the restroom really bad I went in there and it was paper towels all in the floor toilet tissue all in the floor also the toilet looks like it's not been cleaned in two days so I asked the manager to see if somebody could clean the restroom she was extremely nice but I was extremely disappointed when after somebody went in the bathroom to clean it all they did was sweep up some paper towels I love Wawa it's my favorite gas station to go to just really disappointed that after asking the bathroom to be cleaned that it was cleaned like nobody cared read more

Nothing really exceptional about this WAWA... It is large and clean, both inside and out. Great place to stop for gas and from what I was told, they have good snack/coffee area. But if you are heading to Outer Banks, stop here before you cross the border. The price for gas goes up at least 10cents when you cross that line. Absolutely love this gas station!! People are friendly, customer service is awesome, food is top notch. I literally stop here every morning for a breakfast burrito on the way into work. I also usually get a soup here, unfortunately I've literally seen the cheddar bacon potato soup about 3 times. I absolutely love that soup and I wish they would serve it more often earlier in the morning. Seems to always be chicken noodle or chicken corn chowder. If not for that it would be 5 stars all day!! Very convenient to route 168 for those traveling to OBX or back and forth from NC. If headed to North Carolina get your gas now as taxes drive up the cost as soon as you cross into NC. Although Murphys is competing hard with gas prices that is the only thing they can compete with. Going into Great Bridge gas is always a few cents higher. Hungry? Just about anything fast you could ask for. Order a sandwich the way you want it on their touch screen. Much better than Subway in my opinion. Fresh fruit cups, pre made breakfast sandwiches, wide variety of coffees, slurpees, it is stocked as well as any 7-11 on the candy and chips.
