I love the new Kroger Marketplace in Chesapeake and have been very happy with the fuel center…read morelocated on the property. Make sure you get a free Kroger Plus membership so you can take advantage of in-store savings, digital coupons and fuel points. You get one fuel point for every dollar you spend so if you spend over $100 in a month you get a 10 cent per gallon discount at the pumps. Spend over $200 and you get a 20 cent discount, over $300 for a 30 cent discount and so on up to $1 per gallon discount if you spend over $1000 in a month. The fuel points you earn in one month are redeemable the following month. Any unused points expire at the end of the following month. If you regularly shop at Kroger you can really save a lot of money on fuel. Fuel savings are limited to 35 gallons which is pretty generous. If you set it up right you can bring two vehicles and fill them both up. The normal posted gasoline prices are usually fairly competitive but certainly not the cheapest however when you couple it with a discount it usually ends up being the cheapest option in my local area. Choose from regular, mid-grade, premium or diesel. Even if you don't have available fuel points you will still save 3 cents a gallon with your Kroger Plus card. This facility is new so everything is clean and organized and in proper working order. There are plenty of pumps and I've never had to wait more than a minute or two to find one available. Just scan your Kroger Plus card and the display will ask you how much of your available discount you want to use then scan your credit card and pump your fuel. The spacious layout of the plaza provides easy access in and out.

This…read morestore is always clean and organized with spacious aisles for easy navigation while you shop. All the equipment seems to work properly (freezers, refrigerators, warmers, registers, lottery machine, gas pumps, etc...). Proper COVID-19 protocols are in place and being followed which I appreciate. Employees are always friendly and helpful. There are plenty of gas pumps and fuel is always priced reasonably, it is seldom the cheapest but is never the most expensive in the area either. Gas prices are often a little below other area 7-Eleven stores. The parking lot and outside areas are always clean and free of debris. Access in and out is controlled by a traffic signal so navigation on to busy Battlefield Boulevard is easy in either direction. Like most area 7-Elevens, they are open 24 hours a day every day.

Some employees work their butts off, management not so much. The bad: Damn lottery players bombard the store almost every other hour, especially after lunch. The food sometimes stays on the grill from morning to evening. Some packaged products are dusted and not rotated. And the majority of customers that are in the store are ghetto. But overall, what's the difference between this certain 7-Eleven compared to the rest?

We go here mainly for snacks, fruits, and household needs for the kitchen and bathroom. We are typically in and out pretty quickly and it never feels too busy here when we go. The employees are friendly and the food court food is affordable. They recently implemented a scan and go system so you scan your items through the APP and pay as well and don't have to wait it line! Saves so much time! If you're looking for some good deals and a good selection of items from food to household things, this is the place!

They had tiny bottles which were completely overpriced and high end water that was 4 times the price. Since I needed water, I bought a case of the overpriced ones cause there was a sale on the brand. I also got a case of coke which was also quite overpriced in my opinion. Since I am a loyal Costco shopper from Hawaii, I couldn't believe the prices here in VA were the same price or twice as much as Hawaii. I still looked around but couldn't find anything I needed so I got my drinks and left. When I had more time, I went to Costco and guess what? The prices were much cheaper than Sam's club and they had tons of stock of bottled water which I filled my cart with. If you have the time and membership at both, go to Costco for better deals and stock.
